My kid was having brake trouble with their vehicle and since I can no longer do automotive work, they chose this place as we know a couple of people who have been here before. It was quite easy to check availability and bring it in to have it checked out. It was later in the day and we left the car and went back home. We got the call and they said it needed all four wheel brakes with rotors plus a brake flush. Since I was relatively certain, it only needed the front brakes. We went back in and asked to see the vehicle with the wheels off. This was the first major hurdle for them. The gentleman working the counter did not understand that I wanted to see what they were saying was wrong. He kept saying that the mechanic saw it and that's what it needed. We finally made him understand that we would like to see the vehicle with the wheels off, and they begrudgingly brought it in and pulled the wheels off. It was very obvious that the front wheels were almost down to metal on metal and should have pads and rotors. There was a possibility that one caliper might be needed. The rear brakes on the other hand we're not bad. The pads looked like they were almost brand new. The rotors were not looking fantastic, but they were still functional. Possibly they should've been replaced the last time brakes were done, but that's not my issue. I now had to argue back-and-forth with them over what we were saying and nobody wanted to actually look at what I was trying to point out. Apparently, the mechanic only speaks Portuguese And the gentleman at the counter doesn't work on cars at all, but translates. in the end we agreed to the front brakes and flush, but the price was higher than what had been quoted originally on the phone. They needed to be done so my kid had them do it. It was ready the next day, but when we arrived minutes before their closing time they were long gone already. We ended up going in the following morning and picking it up and they had trouble locating the paperwork. Just the facts, you decide. On the recommendation of a friend, I brought my son's car in for a coolant leak. Was charged a diagnostic fee (understandable). I accepted the estimate and the repairs were performed. Now it has been my experience when a repair is performed the diagnostic fee is waved, not here. When I paid I was charged an extra $46.50 for using my credit card. So in total I was charged an extra $106.50 not included in the repair price. No "up-selling" or adding costs your car really does not need. (When getting an oil change at another shop, we were told we needed shock, struts, and other work for over $900. We asked Four Corners and they said the car need to be washed, but everything else is fine!) We have been customers since about 2008 with our Yukon and continue to have all three of our current vehicles (Mercedes, Hyundai, Nissan) serviced by them. We have recommended them to others, and no one came back to us with a complaint. Their labor rates are low when compared to other shops and they stand behind their work. No one is perfect and even the parts could be built incorrectly, but they make certain any complaints are resolved quickly and well. The staff not only looked at our tires immediately and figured out the issue in seconds, but also had a new tire to the shop in 15 minutes and had my mom back on the road in under an hour total. My left side actuator was breaking (completely broke two weeks later), didn't put any UV dye, and honestly doubt they even looked for a problem. What a complete rip off. MUST READ!! THIEVES & SCAMMERS I came in town from Georgia to visit family about 5 minutes from this establishment (FOUR CORNERS AUTO REPAIR). Right before I got on the road to head back to Georgia I stopped here for a quick oil change. When I came in I waited at the counter for at least 10 minutes to be serviced. When I was finally seen (by the owner) I explained to him that I was from Georgia and I was headed back and just needed a quick oil change. He was very rude and short with me but explained that he would get some on my vehicle A.S.A.P . He then went and got a technician to get started working on my service. During the service I noticed the technician enter my vehicle multiple times, so I proceeded to ask if there was any problems and he explained there wasn't any. About 35 minutes and the service was done. I paid and they sent me on my way. As I got down the road I noticed my business Ipad I use for navigation was missing, I immediately turned around and went back to the establishment to ask for its whereabouts because I was very sure that I left it inside (front seat). When I arrived I explained to the owner that I left my device inside and he argued that his employees wouldn't take from a customer and told me I could call the police and they can have the cameras from other establishments next door checked because theirs wasn't operating. I immediately called 911 and they responded. When they arrived I explained what took place. They then checked the establishments on each side and came back with the worse news ever.... They also had no active operating cameras. We then proceeded to track the device. It showed up on the tracker on the property so they began to check some of the units that were there. They had no luck finding it. They then explained to me there was nothing else they could do. I had to leave to get back to Georgia for a business meeting so I counted the device as a loss. Fast forward a month later I was having my car checked again because of weird shifting. I was told that there was no oil in my engine. I had never had this problem ever before. The technicians checked for leaks and there were none at all. They explained that the whoever did the previous oil change (FOUR CORNER AUTO REPAIR) had to put have put little to no oil in. This have had to be the worse experience I've had with any type of establishment. I am a young new business owner. Losing my IPad impacted my business and my personal life dramatically being that's how I did all of my work and almost seriously damaged my vehicle which is my only transportation in a big city that I'm new to and how I come home to visit my family here in Florida. ****BEWARE***** So last saturday i went to have them look at my vehicle to find out what was going on with my suspension system. The noise it was making was like a popping noise. So upon them looking it over they told me my tie rod was bad and that's what was making the noise but i needed to also replace my strut assembly and control arms. So Monday i dropped off my vehicle to get the work done. Was told it would take all day to do the work.. So i went back over to the shop around 3pm or so to find my vehicle not done and before noon i had called and was told it only had about a hour more of work. So i figured it would be done when i went. So finally I'd say around 4pm or so they said they were done and was backing it out when all i see is my front tire on driver side look like it was going to fall off. He pulled it back in and put it back up and he had completely forgot to put the bolt back in for the sway bar. So he put it back in and supposedly tightened it. So onto tuesday.. I took it to go get cleaned and while i was wiping the rims i noticed two of my lug nuts missing. Then comes wednesday..being there was a different sound noise. He took it up and found out that the new struts they put on were defective and bottoming out. And not everything was tight like its supposed to be. So they ordered new ones. Onto thursday now..replaced the struts thinking it would be better but it wasn't. So the mechanic decided he'd just start throwing things out as to what it might be..so he told the guy in the office he thinks its now my axle..which was just fine when i went in at the start. So they replaced the driver side of my axle. And low and behold..still not fixed. So then the mechanic decided to throw something else out there..which was my sway bar links..which i had replaced in March with the best ones out there. Which i wasn't having any issues with them since i put them on. So onto now friday..yes u heard me right now 5 days...i was told they would have a mechanic from another location come look at it..and low and behold they say my sway bar links were defective..which they were not. Being Monday they moved my van without the sway bar secure it ruined my sway bar links. And to add to all this..the guy that went out and test drove my van decided he would use my vehicle to go get lunch and eat in my vehicle and even unplugged my cord so he could plug his phone in. I spoke with the owner on friday and being he seems to think a woman doesn't know about cars, which i do being i work on it all the time. I told him he needs to reimburse me for my sway bar links that his mechanic damaged. He still hasn't gotten back to me to give me my money for this damage. So I bought the part from the store directly (which I was told they buy their parts from the same store) for price instead of mark up from repair shop March 28: Front wheel alignment scheduled, work complete. I need my transmission flushed. Take back the next weekend and paid for that. May: Car making noise again... take in and confirm that the wheel bearings need replaced again. *I'm going out of town so I schedule them for 2nd Saturday of June. June: Drop off car at 9:30am, they call me at 3:30pm to pick up car, it wasn't done the mechanic had to leave. I can leave car till Monday, or bring back Saturday and they promise to have me in the schedule this time. (Apparently they didn't even mark the appointment in the book which is why it wasn't ever done). Since it was my only car. I needed time to organize and figure out my next move since I wasn't planning for this. I ended up having to get a rental car because my friend was busy this weekend and couldn't pick me up at shop Take my car to another shop for oil change and they say they will give me a good deal on getting it done. So I call and cancel here. Manager wasn't happy I cancelled and said to give them a chance to make it right, I now know why he tried for about 3-5 minutes to convince me to let them do it. I declined. Today: I pick up my car from the second repair shop and guess what I am told... they replaced the wheel bearings, but they are not 3/4 months old. Four Corners never freaking replaced them originally. They took my money and my parts and didn't do any work. I'm sorry, they did tightened my axle to make the noise stop temporarily. I guess this is a trick that I was told my a friend that does auto mechanics (in another state) I guess the way to get your money back from the not marked up price on parts, is to charge for the original problem, say that because I brought my own parts in they can't guarantee anything and I had to pay a deal price of 1/2 the original price to install another set of wheel bearings. I take parts in to Four Corners, that are rusted like crazy... their maintenance guy says these are not 3/4 months old these look like they would had been the original ones. EXACTLY!!! Which means you didn't do anything but take my money. He said let me get the managers number. He then proceeded to do an oil change and talk on his phone, I had to interrupt and say can I get that number, he said you ready for it. I guess I'll write it down. I call the manager Ruben while I am in the parking lot still. He tells me that he isn't going to do anything because there isn't any way to make it stop for 2 months. I said you are not looking at the whole picture... the part was never changed. I can show you where I just paid for the same work I just paid you for 3/4 months ago and I have the parts in my hand to prove your staff didn't do anything. He said take me to court. I don't have time, money or patience for court. Thank goodness the place gave me my money back for the rusted wheel bearings so I could recoup some money back. He charged us for new shocks that they did not replace, every time they fixed something they broke something else, they had our car for 7 months and we're always waiting on a part! They damaged the new headers beyond repair when they installed them. They stole the new battery we had in car, replaced it with one of theirs and now we have a battery with no warranty. It still won't hold a charge, supposedly rebuilt the alternator twice but the car doesn't run! Replaced parts without sealing the gaskets so it leaked all over the driveway! TAKE A SECOND AND READ THIS REVIEW !! PLEASE..... So I'm mechanically inclined and usually able to fix just about anything that goes awry on the road,....BUT.....when a tire valve(the rubber inflation thing that you put air into) cracked in half !!!(TPMS SENSOR on the inside of rim),...you are SCREWED !! AAA would be 3hrs to get to me on I-4 in traffic !! Air leaks out fast and leaves you on a rim ruining a tire! With all that said, I limped the truck off the exit and pulled into this business and talked with the main crew member. He was friendly and sympathetic and understanding. He also had 4 vehicles in front of me and was working his butt off ! He worked very fast on one car welding a new muffler onto an import in less than 20 minutes. Guys...cutting the old one out/fitting a new one in/ and the welding into place in 20 minutes is fast ! and like I said,....this guy was good. He and an assistant got my tire off the truck, changed the valve, and "re"balanced the wheel in under 20 minutes ! In the end, he noticed we were Gymnastics coaches trying to get to a meet in Daytona and were sweating the time and being late to the gym meet. We said nothing about it, but we were starting to make phone calls thinking we were going to be late for the meet. He tells me, " hey,....you're coaching kids.....that's good stuff.....don't worry about the valve cost....I got you....no charge."......ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? WHO DOES THAT?? This guy is awesome ! I tipped him and his assistant and promised that I would write a positive review for them. Honestly,....it gives me hope that good and decent people are still here to help ! ....and NO...I was NOT paid to say this stuff, nor is this story a fake ! I would not even give this business a 1star. First let me start by saying the owner is very rude and dishonest. I'm surprised this business is even standing. I stopped by there due to my tire pressure was low on my car. I thought I may have run over a nail, but long story short. I asked the owner if I could have my tire looked at. So as I drove my truck in service area, they proceeded to take my tire off because he said it wasn't holding air. So I noticed they're was never a nail in my tire, but it was a recent plug that loosened up. So I asked him if my tire could be plugged or patched again. He told me no, and I need a new tire. He quoted me a price of 491. I understand how much my tires are, and which I could have gotten a little cheaper elsewhere. But my problem is he was actually trying to sale me a tire, in which all I needed was the plug to be replaced. Or a patch. But he said he could not do that on my tire. This place is not honest. I did not buy my tire from here. I went to another shop, because I was able to drive on my run flat for a few distance. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT STOP AT THIS SHOP! RIP OFF PEOPLE ... but not me. I brought my car in over a year ago for a battery and was overcharged. My car now would not start up and kept needing a boost so I brought my car back to Four Corners, the battery had a 24 month full warranty and a 5 year pro rated warranty and I was told that I needed to leave the car overnight because it was possible the battery was being drained from something else and that they would check it out. I told them I would leave the battery but not my car and he said he would have to charge me for a new battery but would give me a refund it was the battery. I took my car to auto zone and they immediately said that the battery was no good. I went to Tuffy, they said the battery was no good and exhanged it out for a new battery even though I did not buy the battery there. My car is starting up fine now. I brought my sons car to Four Corners and also had issues. Beware of this establishment because they are not honest and overcharge for their services. read more
