This is a quiet, clean RV park right along the Arkansas River. My family and I enjoyed staying here during our trip to Colorado for spring break. This RV park was wonderful! It was our first RV trip ever and we were afraid we won't be able to back in and park our trailer as our spot was at the cliff of the river. Fortunately, Four Seasons RV park staff was above and beyond helpful as we were checking in. He told us basic remedy information such as wifi and gave us the map. He also informed us that they have ice and ice cream. He offered and told us to let them know if we need any help. We shared that its our first time with the RV trailer and asked if he could help us park. He didn't hesitate to help us. We also had dogs in our car and one of the dog locked us out of the car. He kindly helped us by calling a lock-smith. The RV park was beautiful, clean, and everybody was wonderful and friendly. The RV park also has a community space with very clean public restroom (with shower) and also a small dog park area as well. The dog park area is not shaded so I don't recommend taking your dog(s) late morning or afternoon when the sun is out. read more

After five days of hunting and really needing a shower this is the place seven of us chose. Ten dollars to take a HOT shower I couldn't get my money out fast enough. WELL LET ME TELL YOU! Just about the time I get my hair lathered up and soap on my face and ears and the water is nice and hot it goes ICE COLD. Yes six of us took ice cold showers. The seventh guy was waiting for the water to warm up for over an hour and the lady running the place shows up and says "yeah we've been having trouble with the water heater turning off". She goes to check on it and then comes back after fifteen minutes and says it was working but never once offed our money back for ice cold showers. Won't be coming back here. So if you want to pay $10 for a ICE COLD shower go ahead but not me. read more

I was supposed to be there from 7/22-7/29 but I had to leave a couple of days early because the WIFI sucks. Being a Realtor and traveling the WIFI is a must. Also I love watching a movie after being gone all day but unfortunately I didn't get to see any. The place is nice and the staff is super nice no complains there but if you are looking for a place with WIFI so your kids can watch cartoons and or you check your e-mails you might want to think twice booking here. I tried working something out with the staff but they stuck to their rules. read more

A really pretty RV park and small which is what we like. They were very accommodating and we enjoyed our stay there. However their roads in the RV park need some work. We were there during a snowstorm and as we were leaving hit a huge pothole in the park which we believed put a gash in our tire and it had to be replaced while we were on the road. I would recommend this RV park highly just watch out for their roads in the park. Also let me mention that we are in a 35 foot motorhome towing 20 more feet. read more

Had the perfect site, R21. You couldn't even see your neighbors! It was a clean park but all their "don't do this, no this , no that" signs were totally annoying. It must be someone's full time job to make signs, because they are everywhere, and rather tacky in my opinion . Oh and I forgot about the FULL PAGE list of "donts" you get upon check in. They try to make it cute, but it's unprofessional and dumb. Their dog run is awful...it's full of rocks, weeds/dust and small. They don't want your dog to potty anywhere else but in the dog run (again , posted signs). So maybe they should make the dog run more desirable to dogs and their owners?? Just a thought. We'd stay again based on the RV site alone, but the park appearance needs some work. read more

WATCH THE FIRST RIGHT TURN AT THE BOTTOM OF THE HILL!!! Two things this park has going for it: 1. Close to downtown Salida. 2. It is on the river. It a somewhat dated park but we managed to pull an excellent large river back-in site. Once we were in it was awesome. Stressing the point of 'once we were in'. Here's the bad, it is incredibly tight when maneuvering large rigs and 5th wheels through the park. It all starts with the fact that once you come down the hill into the park you have to take an incredibly shallow tight right hand turn. What makes this even more tricky is that the first site that sits on this turn parks 3 vehicles in their site. The cars stick out into the narrow path to pass. We have a 45' fifth wheel and this posed quite an issue for us. So much so that I cut it as wide and tight as possible and still hung up the righthand side of 5th wheel on the unmarked rocks on our right side. It did some significant cosmetic damage along with bending our middle hydraulic auto jack. I should mention that we were pulling this maneuver at 11pm in the pitch dark. So obviously not happy about the damage and the situation as a whole. I was able to fix the jack so that we could actually deploy the hydraulic leveling system. I find the fact that they don't mark/paint the rocks on the right side and allow the first site to have multiple vehicles jetting out into the already impossible turn TOTALLY unacceptable. Overall this turn ended up costing a $1000 to fix. I would really love to figure out a way to find the campground liable. At the end of the day it was a combination of several things so whatever. But let's just say that this made for a very expensive weekend and alot of hassle (and heartache) on my side. It is clear that this place was not originally designed with big rigs/trailers in mind. I wish I had more positive things to say about this park, but the truth is, it put a real damper on our summer vacation. The park itself is nice enough, but it's far from family-friendly and camper-friendly. If you want a campfire, like most campers, you'll have to either pay for a premium site (good luck finding availability, since there are only a few) to get a fire pit, or they'll try to nickel-and-dime you to the tune of $12/day to rent a little flimsy portable one. Since we meal-plan to grill most of our meals, this really screwed us. It's not really clear on the website, so we were definitely caught off-guard. Fair enough, I guess you could say that's our fault. In the office, they'll tell you it's an easy fix since they have a fire pit at the "common area." Yeah, that one little 12x12 concrete pad that's supposed to serve 70 groups. If hammocks are also part of your outdoor "camping" experience, you're screwed, unless you carry around those big stand-along hammock stands. Apparently, tying hammocks to their 80-year-old trees is a liability concern (like I'm going to tie up something unsafe for my kids) and you can't tie them to their fenceposts either because they're all falling over. Somehow, that's the campers problem, not the managers of the facility who have clearly neglected the upkeep of the fencing. Now, if you have kids with you, get ready for the dirty looks from all the grumps. They might as well go ahead and convert this place over to a 55 & over park because those are the only people who are made to feel welcomed. That "rec room" might as well be called "the puzzle room" at a retirement village. That's all that happens in there. The pool table was covered up with all kinds of junk, so unusable, and we were told the shuffleboard is off limits too. And, of course, there's no playground or even the slightest green space where the kids can be kids. Again, the message sent at every step is that families and campers aren't welcomed. And whatever you do, don't run out of ice and expect to go buy more at the front office. The sign says they're open until 6pm, but I showed up at around 5 on 2 occasions and it was lights out. Had I known the "office hours" posted on the door were just an estimate, I could've stopped in town and picked up ice. Lastly, they shut off the water to the entire park one morning with no notice to anyone. Guess how many people couldn't fix their breakfast or take their showers. Needless to say, we won't be back. It's a shame because, as I said, it's a nice RV park. It's just not a fit if you have kids, enjoy the outdoors, and are younger than 80. read more

I had to choose a star, but wanted to give them zero stars! I had specifically requested a certain spot... C7... To be next to a friend. They decided to move us over one, and let somebody else have the site I had requested 3 months prior. Then we got there (we arrived around noon...just in time for lunch, right? Wrong!) Someone else had parked their Jeep in our spot! When the owner & his wife??? told me about this when we were checking in, naturally I was not happy. While I was upset & talking, he started raising his voice & became louder because I would NOT shut up, nor back down!He started getting very boisterous and louder trying to drown me out! He finally stormed out he yelled that she could just give me a refund! They should have at least offered to give us a free night...they didn't. He claimed there was nothing they could do....& didn't. Oh, they DID offer to put us in our friends spot...you know...the friend we were supposed to be next to? Where would she have gone? She got there while we were waiting. I also had to ask for the group discount, (which I would not have gotten had I not reminded her)...as we were there with a group...oh...& we were all spread out. We told them way in advance the name of our group, but no attempt was made to reasonably keep us at least within the same side of the campground. The idiots with the Jeep, in our spot, had lost their key...& eventually stopped looking for it. (This had happened to them before, they told us, but left the spare key(s) at home!) I even went over & tried to help find their lost key....they acted "put out" by that. They FINALLY had a tow truck come to get their Jeep out around 2:00. By then we were "hangry". We wanted to yell & scream, but we didn't...we bit our tongues. We finally got something to eat while the tow truck took their Jeep out of our spot. The next day, I heard the owner & wife stop by the idiots rv, & they were all talking & I heard the idiot lady say "they were not very nice"...the owner & wife laughed & joked a little more, (I didn't hear everything), then drove off in their cart. This place has a beautiful location, next to the river...just lousy customer service! The man will be nice, only if everything goes smoothly & you kiss his ass. If not...he starts yelling! And with all of the annoying signage someone else had complained about, there is nothing guiding these huge rv's to the exit as you drive around looking for a way out. The street that could be used, is blocked off. 1 of the roads which could be used, is blocked because the whole row of rv's ends up blocking the part where you could have gotten out because they had to fill that spot with 1 more paying customer! Thank God we had fun with our group...but we will NEVER go back again! (Oh, & the so-called "dog run" is about 10' x 20'...& I think I'm being generous with that estimation! It's a joke!) The poor campers that were right across from their "bar", had to listen to Karaoke until late! Yikes! Oh, & not a kid friendly place either! Nothing for them there...but you can take them somewhere else, right? read more

This is a really nice RV Park. They are dog friendly, clean bathrooms and nice spots by the Arkansas river! Very nice office staff lady to allowed us to extend our check out time free of charge which was very gracious. I would come back! read more

Do not stay here!! You're lucky if you get what you need. The workers and the fellow that claims to be the owner don't honor your reservation requirements. We needed a 50 amp hookup and wouldn't change us to the site next to us. Those folks didn't even need what they got. Worst part was they didn't care. Shrugging shoulders and treating us like we were an inconvenience. One worker, Fran as well as the owner should never be in a customer facing position. We plan to tell as many of our fellow RVers to stay away. Who needs this frustration? Plenty of other places will appreciate our business. read more

You can't beat the location right along the Arkansas River. However the campground hasn't seen much maintenance or improvement in years. Not much day to day upkeep (weed control, fence maintenance, etc). Lounge smells old and musty as do the showers. For a campground that is one of the most expensive we have been to they have a lot of work ahead of them to bring the place up to speed. read more

Great location and run by wonderful people! When we were evacuated from our home due to a wildfire they went out of their way to make a place for us. This was a horrible experience, first they got the reservation messed up. We had called another place and had reserved 2 nights for 2 Rv's. 4 Seasons was closer to town so we called and reserved 2 site for 2 nights there and cancelled the other one. A day later we get a confirmation for 1 night and upon calling she said it was a mistake, they only had one night available. Too late for us to get our other spots back so we were stuck at 4 seasons with only 1 night. They were supposed to put us on a cancel wait list but never did. Asked again upon arrival if we could stay over 2 nights and they said probably they'd let us know. They didn't let us know and we asked and were approved for a late check out so we could go find another campground. At normal check out time they started calling leaving messages for us to get out. They knew we were looking for another place because of their mistake but they didn't care. After we found and paid for another campground they left another angry message saying we had to get out of our spot immediately and if we needed a place to dry camp they had 30amp in another spot we could use. Even though we had already asked several times if there was another space. THEN when we went to leave their exit is so steep that it broke our muffler off from the frame. In addition to the steep hill be careful of the narrow roads getting in and out of your space. Also, if you are 40' check out your space before you go if you are riverside as most of them are way too small for a 40' foot and your backend will be sticking out over the river ledge. The spaces are very small. The only good thing about this campground was the river view. Don't expect river access though as it's too rocky and steep. Chalk Creek is a wonderful place not too far away and they seem to have a much better grasp on what they are doing. 4 seasons had a couple of clerks who seemed to be very confused about what was going on. read more

We have stayed here for the last four years. This year, to our surprise, four seasons had added a dog run, we were thrilled. Easy access to Salida's beautiful downtown area. We had a bit of trouble with our RV and Randy, a Four season's employee, came to our rescue, not once but twice. He's not afraid to get his hands dirty, and he did. We are thankful for him. We were at the Four Seasons for a family getaway. There were several families involved, some camping and some in the cabins. My husband and I had stayed here before and had a great site on the river. We heard our neighbors complaining about the people that manage the campground and how awful they were. We should have listened to the warning from them. Our weekend was a disaster. The managers were terrible. Constantly questioning us over and over about how many people we had. One of our families didn't stay in the campground so we registered them AND their car to pay their fees for visitors, but they asked us over and over how many of us there were. Then my son got into an argument with the manager driving the golf cart. His dog was smelling the grass and the manager didn't like that. I wasn't there, but he came to gather his camp stove and other things from our site (he was staying in a cabin). He said the guy kicked him out of the campground and they had a big fight over their dog. The manager told him his leash was supposed to be 6' foot long and said didn't you read the rules! If you have received anything from them you know that the rules go on and on. Their dog WAS on a leash, just one that you let out or make shorter. I went to one of the cabins that the other kids had rented to take a shower because they told me they couldn't afford to pay someone to clean the restrooms every two hours, so they were closed. The door to the bathroom in the cabin looked like it had never been cleaned. I used a towel and wiped off some of the fingerprints, but if the door was that bad..... The sites don't have any grass, so you are walking around in dirt all the time. All but one family left on Saturday, even though they had paid through Sunday. What a disaster. We will never make this mistake again! read more
