I've been a patient at this dental office for 10+ years, but since the new ownership, things have gone downhill. Appointment wait times now routinely exceed 30 minutes past the scheduled time--for both me and my wife on our last 2 visits. The front desk staff made a clear error by telling me a prescription toothpaste was covered by my insurance when it wasn't. Months later, they called asking me to pay $25 and blamed me for not knowing my insurance details--something we rely on professionals to help with. The dentist's offer was to split the cost, which I found unacceptable based on principle. I've returned the toothpaste now to resolve the matter, but the lack of accountability and the unethical business practices are deeply disappointing. If you like the dentist singing in your ear to the track music while he is in your mouth then that might not be a bad thing for you, but it was uncomfortable for us. The only bright spot is Travis, the hygienist, who is absolutely amazing--five stars for him. But overall, this office has lost my trust and has lost 2 clients. There are better dentists out there, so keep looking is my advice. read more

Unfortunately, my recent experiences particularly with Jesse at the front desk has changed my overall perception of the practice, primarily due to ongoing concerns regarding front desk communication and billing practices, specifically involving Jesse. I would like to express my concerns regarding the accuracy, transparency, and communication of billing information provided by Jesse. During one of my visits, she reviewed the information available in the system, explained the estimated amount that insurance would cover, informed me of my expected out-of-pocket responsibility, and collected payment at the conclusion of the appointment based on that information. However, during a subsequent visit, I was informed by Jesse that I had an outstanding balance from the previous appointment and was asked to pay it immediately. When I explained that I had been provided different information regarding my expected responsibility by her, Jesse denied having provided those details and directed me to contact my insurance company. I understand that insurance claims can sometimes result in adjustments and that final payment determinations are made by insurance providers. However, patients rely on the dental office to provide accurate estimates and clear communication based on the information available at the time of service. When discrepancies occur, I believe the office should take the time to review the information provided and assist in resolving the issue rather than simply directing the patient to the insurance company. In another instance during one of my visits, I was initially informed by Jesse that my treatment would be covered by insurance and that I would only be responsible for a specific amount. During a later visit, I was advised by Jesse that there was an outstanding balance because insurance did not cover the service as expected. This was frustrating because the information previously communicated by the office had indicated a different financial responsibility. My concern is not only the billing discrepancies but also how these situations are handled. Communication with patients should be professional, respectful, and focused on finding solutions. Unfortunately, my interactions with Jesse have often felt dismissive, with a communication style that comes across as overly forceful rather than collaborative. Providing information confidently is important, but it should also be accompanied by accuracy, accountability, and a willingness to address patient concerns. I also have concerns regarding the office's missed appointment policy. Jesse charged me a $50 missed appointment fee; however, appointment reminders have either been sent significantly in advance or on the day of the appointment. In my experience, most medical offices provide a reminder call or text message closer to the appointment date, typically the day before, to help patients avoid missed appointments. Jesse referenced documentation showing that I had accepted the appointment but did not acknowledge that a reminder was not provided closer to the appointment date. During a subsequent appointment, I was also concerned when Jesse brought up outstanding balances associated with other family member on my account and appeared to be attempting to collect those balances, including the $50 missed appointment fee, from me during my visit. While I understand that the office may need to address account balances, I felt uncomfortable with the way this was presented, particularly since the discussion shifted from my appointment-related questions and charges to balances associated with other family members. I believe billing conversations should be handled clearly and separately for each patient to ensure transparency regarding individual financial responsibilities. Additionally, if there are outstanding balances or fees that must be collected at the time of the appointment, this information should be clearly communicated to the patient in advance, preferably at least one day before the scheduled appointment. Providing this notice allows patients the opportunity to understand their financial responsibility, ask questions, and make any necessary arrangements PRIOR to arriving for their appointment. Presenting unexpected balances or fees at the day and time of service creates unnecessary frustration and does not support a transparent billing process. Although the new dentist - Mike Robinson- is kind and looking to grow his business, I am concerned that front desk communication and administrative issues - particularly Jesse - may negatively impact the patient experience and the reputation of his practice. After being loyal patients for many years, it disappointing to see the practice go downhill. read more

Dr. Daniel Malan and his team are a breath of fresh air for me in dentistry. I have been to the office I think three times. Our very first meeting was just weeks after we moved here from Chicago, my tooth broke. Neighbors on NextDoor recommended him and having little choice and a lot of pain I called. The doctor and staff not only took me and my pain seriously, they saw my immediately. It was the best visit to a dentist ever. I returned to his office recently to have an old silver cavity removed and replaced. Everything went so well, he was sure to use the appropriate amount of pain killers. The filling replacement was amazing, beyond the sound I wouldn't have known I was in a dentist chair. I went in for my teeth cleaning last Thursday (9/2/2021) and After the cleaning I was told that the cleaning technician from a previous cleaning put in the note that she did a filling and orthodontics maintenance and wanted me to pay $98. I told the receptionist that I did not have any of those. It was just a regular cleaning. She insisted that I pay. I paid $98 and told her to cancel my next appointment. I told her that I will never come back to this place. They just ripped you off and made up a bogus charge. Please do not go to that dentist office. You will get ripped off. read more

Staff here are so friendly and just great across the board Michelle was a wonderful hygienist to have work on my teeth today, and Jeanine was so helpful and knowledge with my questions on the phone and in person and Dr. Malan is always friendly and patient and leaves me feeling very well taken care of. Now I recently lost my insurance but I still wanted to continue coming here for my 6 month check ups. It's really incredibly affordable especially being on a students income. They communicate with everyone very clearly, you feel well taken care of they are gentle in their practice as well as their demeanor. So happy I switched over to this place! Love this dental office. My first time here. Staff members are friendly. I have very sensitive teeth and the dental technician did an awesome job. No pain during the cleaning but I felt very good afterwards, knowing that she did a great job. Dr. Malan is very friendly, knowledgeable and very professional. I am so grateful to have met this group of awesome professionals! I went there after doing some online research and seeing a few local reviews recommending this clinic. The moment I got there I felt I was part of the family, the atmosphere was relaxing, they worked with me accommodating schedules, suggesting payment plans and they were all the time making sure I was pleased with the service: I accidently lost (well, more like swallowed) a temporary crown and they replaced it before I went to work that day. The proceeding I was going through involved the placement of two bridges and the whole deal was ABSOLUTELY painless, took barely three days combined and it was done with such a level of detailed perfection that not only they fit perfectly, they are also aesthetically flawless. I don't know what happened to this place, they use to be great, but they have gone way downhill. From 5 star to 1. I've been trying to get my teeth fixed for 3 weeks now. First they called and canceled my appointment last minute (14 hours before my appointment, if I had canceled with that little notice they would charge me $50) for reasons I was not privileged to. This really threw my schedule but I figured things happen. So, I scheduled it for the next week. Well next week is here, I woke up at 6am and made the hour drive here to be told I had no appointment. The receptionist told me when we talked on the phone she said the Thursday after next, which wasn't what we agreed to on the phone. She made a point of telling me that I was wrong and didn't hear her right, but the 3 other people who were in my office when I was making the appointment disagree. Either way I am done with this place, first they canceled me last minute then the receptionist put the wrong date down for the replacement appointment. The Dr might still be good, but I don't know since the receptionist is determined to not let me see him for whatever reason. Get it together. read more
