After seeing San Diego's own Larry Himmel do a segment at Four Seasons Candy the other day, I had to further investigate what I saw on TV. Well, I have some good news... I have just confirmed that Four Seasons Candy is the greatest candy store on the planet! They are milk chocolate draped over a thin crunchy butter toffee center. He used to get them at the liquor store after school, then rush home to hide them in his drawer, for safe keeping. I hated him for this. He would wait until my candy bar had been eaten and was long gone. He would then conspicuously eat his crisp SKOR bar on the top bunk as I tried to get to sleep. Freaking annoying. Anywhoo, it was his birthday last week, and I wanted to see if I could find him a box of those elusive SKOR bars. I almost never see them around nowadays. They seem to be hard to find items that are available in limited quantities, if available at all. Well, my quest to find them ended at Four Seasons Candy! Not only did they have a case of fresh SKOR bars for me to pick up, but they had every other boyhood candy that I could remember, represented on their shelves. And I mean EVERY type of candy. In spite of being busy, they are very gracious and make you feel quite welcome. Especially your kids. My daughter was asked about her favorite candies, treated to a little tour of the warehouse and even given a cool lollipop for the road, as we were checking out. Awesome place to get discounted candy/chips for a party. My son's 2nd birthday was coming up & preferred to pick up at a local place than order online, especially with this awful heat us San Diegans have been dealing with. We first went to the candy store in National City, but their warehouse is only open to the public fri & sat. This warehouse is open daily for the public. The 3 girls we encountered today were all very helpful and sweet. One lady offered my son a sucker but I denied as I don't let him have them quite yet. She was so nice to have found a toy school bus, which he loved. Depending on the item, prices for the most part offer you a real savings. You load all your items on a cart they provide you, bring it to one of the girls, they'll print a list of all the prices of the items you picked out, then you decide which items you want to purchase. I'm sorry Catherine V but I just don't believe your review. I've been to Four Seasons Candy's warehouse many times to pick up candy, including in December when you posted your review, and the shelves were packed. As for their pricing, they wholesale to the public even though they sell to large companies (the company my girlfriend worked for was one of them). When I bought things from them I always found them very competitive. From what you describe, overpriced and under stocked, they wouldn't be in business very long. Are you sure you don't work for a competitor? I would check out their package of specialty fudges - absolutely delicious. To sum up - Great customer service. Great selection. Great pricing. My fiance and I wanted to celebrate our engagement with friends and family...so we threw a party! For my wedding, I want everything to be pink...starting with the engagement party. Right now, it seems that candy buffets are all the rage, so I put together a pink candy buffet. With that in mind, I hit some party stores and candy stores around town, but with the cost of candy and the lack of variety in pink, the task was a challenge. Four Seasons Candy was really helpful. The woman who was working at the desk took me through the warehouse shelves, opening each box to show me everything in pink. She was also good about telling me the prices, as things were not labeled for individual sale. I got lots of pink candy to fill up my vases and jars, and the prices were so much better. I do wish that I could have seen all the candy without asking for boxes to be open...as it would have made the shopping experience more fun, but it is wholesale, so the big boxes are expected. read more

I work for a local hospital gift shop and Four Seasons has been our supplier for several years. I too have been to their warehouse. I was in the area one day and stopped in and was given a personal tour. Everyone there has always been really "nice" and extremely helpful with orders and done everything possible to make sure the customer service was great. Occasionally the owner even stops OUR store just to say hello and see how everything is going. Anytime there has been an item we have requested that they did not carry they go out of their way to try to get it for us. Excellent business and gladly recommend them to everyone!!! I went to this place to buy candy for a wedding reception. The initial person I worked with was a nice lady who took her time to help me out. I ended up buying about $200 worth of candy from this place and to top it off they had a yelp $5 for $10 deal. All was well until I noticed on my receipt they only redeem my voucher for $5 instead of the $10 voucher I received. I contacted them by phone and by email and couldn't resolve it, so I drove back with my wife to the store. The nice lady that had help me before deferred me to another person in the store for assistance and he identified himself as the store owner. That's when it went downhill. I went to the store in person with my wife to get it sorted never expecting a heated confrontation. I tried to show the guy my receipt and my $10 voucher that I received, but he didn't bother looking at either! He repeatedly said since he is the owner, I am the one doing my math wrong and not understanding. I kept asking for him to look at my voucher, but he kept talking over me and commenting why I was trying so hard to resolve my $5 issue with my $10 voucher. Unlike some people I am not rich and my money doesn't grow on trees! A deal is a deal in business even for $5. Things started to get very unprofessional real quick with the owner, so my wife and I started walking out the door to end things. But the crazy fool followed my wife and I outside into the parking lot stating WE were unprofessional. The owner started to get in my face in the middle of the parking lot and yelling at me that I was rude and what not. Finally, my wife got in between us to hold me back and told the owner to stop because we trying to leave, but he kept trying to provoke me. Now the owner started yelling at my wife and making threats and asking why we were unprofessional, commenting how old we were, and threatening that he will call the police on us. I'm sorry, but your the one who needs to check your math, and put your professionalism in check! This place doesn't deserve even one star! They did not honor the $10 voucher. read more

How I really wanted to give this place more stars because they tried really hard to please me, but I just can't.... They overcharged me by 100% and they almost overcharged me by over 500%. I came here to buy some goodies for gift baskets I was going to give clients for the holidays. They barely had any candy for the holidays. All they had was miniature candy canes and red, white, and green covered chocolate balls. I thought this was a candy store? Not even seasonal Ghirardelli chocolate or peppermint bark? How disappointing... I got whatever I could because I drove all that way, and when I got to the cash register the lady tried to charge me $4.90 for a single Grandma's cookie!!! I was like "Wait, almost $5 for one small cookie?!" She double checked and sure enough she charged me for the entire pack, so it turned out to only be 49 cents. I should have ran right there, but I felt so bad for them. They looked so eager to sell me something. Gosh I'm a sucker... I also got two tubs of the miniature candy canes which the cashier said was $15 each. I never shopped for candy before so I was like "Ok whatever", but when I went to Costco the next day I saw the exact tubs there and they were only $6.90!!!!!!!! I was like "NO FREAKING WAY!!!" I cannot believe I paid more than double what they were worth. I would have returned them, but I already opened them to make my gift baskets :( I will NEVER come back here. My company paid for the candy so I didn't feel too bad, but it was not right. NEVER EVER AGAIN. To everybody reading this, Costco, the Dollar Tree, and even Ross have better deals. Even if the prices weren't great I would still come back based on the customer service alone but the prices are great too. We were looking for candy for my daughters 1st birthday and we gave them a call, they were actually closed but in the office doing some tech work. This is from the day I checked in on Yelp. I had called at approx 220pm and asked when they would be closing for the day. A woman answered and informed me 4pm. I was waiting for my parents, had to run some errands, but this was going to be the first stop. Showed up at 313pm and the location was closed. I waited like 5 min and a gentleman showed up, same thing, location was closed. Really?! Wth. This is the 2nd incident of the same scenario that I've experienced with this company. I called ahead of time to verify the hrs for the day and show up approx 45-60 min after and they've closed early. No longer attempting to give them my business, will go to Candy Pros down south or Jack's in Los Angeles. read more

This place is really neat. I was on the hunt for old time stick candy for my son's birthday party, but unfortunately they quit carrying it. Rachel searched the inventory for something that might make my crafty candy idea come to life, but unfortunately there wasn't a suitable substitute. They have always been my "Johnny On The Spot" when I was in a bind but now under the new ownership I feel I can direct all my business their way. They have given me superior customer service making me feel like I'm their most important customer (even though I know I'm not, I know some very large companies they do business with them) and in so doing have won my all my business. I made an order on Feb. 1, 2018. Two weeks later, when I still hadn't received it, I called them. They said that they never got the order. I was billed on Feb 8, so they said that they would send out the order ASAP. Over the next few weeks I called about ten times. Always very polite, I never was given an answer, just told that they would get an answer and call me back. They never once called me back. I got an email from someone claiming to be the owner, though. On March 1st, he told me that he had left me a voice mail. He hadn't. He said that UPS had delivered our order "to an address different from yours". "Will re-ship tomorrow". Hoping that he meant it, I waited patiently. A week later I again called but never received calls back. On March 13th,about five weeks after placing my order, I called US Bank and filed a dispute over the charge that I had from Four Seasons Candy, acknowledging that I never received any product and was possibly scammed. I then placed my order with Zerbee.com. I received it the following day, on March 14th! That's right. ZERBEE.COM is a legitimate, honest company. read more
