Came here to get coffee cause I parked right in front of them on the street to go to another store. I have never been here before. It's a Filipino American bakery selling custard based sweets such as leche flan, caramel custard, ube creme caramel and more. I don't try any sweets but now that I know I will definitely come back to do so. I orders a cold brew coffee black which tastes amazing and the price was just right. Very friendly and helpful customer service. A very pleasant experience here. I will be back to update my review.

Flans and banana Nutella pudding

Found this cute, little, Filipina owned dessert shop and knew I had to support! I definitely drove past the building the first time and thought there was only street parking, but they actually have tons of parking located in the back of the building. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Unfortunately it was raining that day but they had a little outside space that seemed like it would be really cute to hang out on a nice day.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside is a lot tinier, but all still really cute.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Spoke to the staff about some of their best sellers and ended up trying the ube upside down pie, banana Nutella bread, lady's grey Créme caramel, and the classic vanilla Créme caramel.. can safely say all were delicious! The ube upside down pie was definitely the winner though. Brought some home to the family and it was the crowd favorite! The flans/Créme caramels were also really delicious. For the banana pudding, it doesn't seem like your traditional banana pudding, but still really good! Will definitely be back and love supporting small unique businesses. Thank you Créme caramel!

First time trying this spot, and I was really impressed! The staff was incredibly friendly and took the time to recommend their most popular drinks, which made me feel very welcome. They even offered me a sample of their flan before I ordered, and it was absolutely delicious. The drink was amazing, the flan was just as good, and the overall experience was fantastic. I'll definitely be coming back!

Ube Horachata and Filipino Champurrado Latte

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Very cute Filipino-inspired cafe to come and try out! I highly recommend it![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's quite small on the inside, but theres outdoor seating on the side of the building.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff were very kind and welcoming. We got the Ube Horchata, the Filipino Champurrado Latte, and their Banana Nutella Bread Pudding! The Ube Horchata had a very distinct ube taste that we enjoyed and the champurrado latte really reminded of actually eating champurrado at home that my grandma makes. I loved it! The banana nutella bread pudding was also delicious, and I've barely had bread pudding before. It came with this sweet sauce that I could not pinpoint what it was, but it really elevated the flavor even more!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]I loved the vibes of the shop! Both customers and staff were friendly alike.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Their menu options are extensive, and I was determined to try something from their holiday menu. Almost Everything Pandesal: This treat was soft, light, and sweet. This bread paired with my drink made for a great morning treat. Milo Dino: This was such a great drink; it was rich, chocolatey, and gave me plenty of energy to survive the day. It was creamy and not overly sweet. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There are a few seats available inside, but more outdoor seating available facing the street to enjoy a sunny morning and afternoon.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Cute cute cute!!![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] On our way to Pismo and needed a coffee. Oh my Goodness. Yelp helped me find this one and I'm grateful. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Cute decor inside and the girly pops are so friendly and talkative.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Close off the freeway.

Ube upside down cake

[[HIGHLIGHT]]We came here after 5pm and they only have their window open during this time so you can't see the treats on display.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The creme caramel is like a flan while the upside down cakes are like pudding. I got ube versions of both, and they were both good. Surprisingly not super sweet for both. I liked the upside down cake a little bit more. They have seasonal flavors too which meant that I couldn't have their coffee or lady Grey creme caramel. If you have a particular flavor in mind, you should call before you come.

Ube Cheesecake

It's been awhile Creme Caramel but you have remained the same! Such a smooth Ube Creme Caramel. Wish you had the Maja Blanca, maybe next time. Staff is always friendly, large parking lot and cards accepted. See you Soon!

Crème Caramel LA is one of my favorite cafés. The white chocolate mocha with ube cold foam is a must, and their warmed ube pudding is so comforting and delicious. If you go early, you have a better chance of getting fresh pandesal, but be prepared for a long line. Definitely worth it for the quality and flavors.

Cute little coffee/bakery shop! The coffee was delicious and I love that they offer a sugar free syrup option. We tried the pandan creme brule and it was an A+ !! I saw they do catering so I'll definitely consider them for big orders of desserts in the future.

Flavored pandesal, left top - pearl something, plain, bacon and cheddar. Bottom left - strawberry cream cheese, ube and chocolate chip
Doreen G.

Pandesal is our basic coffee bread/breakfast small meal. I was intrigued to try this location for different flavor (which is a quit new for me). The bread was alright (usually it's soft like a cloud) and the flavor was decent also. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Cute decor inside and a small cafe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Great spot for something sweet! I tried the matcha latte with the ube cheesecake, such a vibrant combo. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Loved the spacious outdoor seating too.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Natalie E.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]It was really cute and i want to go back and try something else![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It was $9 for my ube latte which is pretty steep imo and the ube wasn't very strong the staff were all super nice though!

Ask the Community - Crème Caramel LA

Do they use real ube or extract?

I'm going with the real deal since the owner is Philippine. There's only one way to find out.

Are there any vegan options?

Yes! We have vegan chia pudding and Maja Blanca (coconut and corn pudding for dessert and also an Ube Horchata that is vegan!

Is it best to heat up the UBE upside down cake or eat cold?

Eat it cold! It's like a custard pie or trifle.

Is it possible to talk to someone at the store? Tried calling few times just to check if an item is available so, I won't waste time driving there like yesterday but no answer on the store number listed 🤔

They may not be open. I wouldn't drive out if no one answers the phone!

Is the ube upside down pie made with dairy?

Yes, it's one of our most popular custard desserts. We have vegan items at the shop, but Ube Upside Down Pie is not one of them

What are their hours? I've come by twice and it's randomly closed....disappointing. Definitely not the hours listed in yelp

Hi again! Updating our latest hours. Open until 7pm, 7 days a week. Open at 8am, Mon-Fri and 9am on Sat-Sun. :)

I can't believe how many times I have passed by this coffee shop and never noticed it. Walked in…read morethis morning at 8:40AM and got a very nice welcome from Mary. Actually, all of their employees. Place was packed. Wanted to see and know the sizes of the cups for me to decide which one to go with and the price difference. I went with a medium size hot decaf (one shot) Vanilla Latte with Macadamia Milk. Also got a Blueberry Muffin and a plain butter Croissant. I thought that they would also have some breakfast items like egg, bacon, sausage, cheese etc..they didn't. They only had plain bagel and Cream Cheese. My Latte tasted very good, on the flip side the Croissant wasn't as warm and fresh as I wanted for it to be. I asked the ladies behind the counter to warm it up again. The muffin was very fresh and delicious. Lauren handed me the Latte and my goodies. I don't want to dock a star for the Croissant, but it could have been a lot more fresh. Place was clean, with one gender neutral restroom, inside and outside seating, and the price was right for the 3 items that I got. $14.00 in total plus my tip of $2.00. Street parking only, woman owned, beautiful art work on their walls by famous artists, merchandise for sale, and nice music from the 80's playing overhead. Last but not least, under the businesses amenities page it says, no dogs allowed. It was dogs galore inside and outside. No offense to people who have dogs, but outside is ok, not inside..

This place is a hidden gem! I come here regularly for coffee, and it never disappoints. Not only is…read morethe coffee consistently delicious, but the pricing is surprisingly affordable compared to many other coffee shops. For two large iced coffees, I paid around $12.50, which is hard to beat for the quality. One of my favorite things about this spot is the atmosphere. The ambiance is warm, welcoming, and makes it a great place to relax or catch up with friends. The staff is always attentive, friendly, and genuinely makes you feel valued as a customer. My go-to drinks are the Caramel Royale and the Vanilla Rose Latte over ice. Both are flavorful, well-balanced, and never overly sweet. I also appreciate that they offer a variety of milk options, including 2%, which isn't always easy to find at other coffee shops.. Overall, this place delivers on quality, affordability, and customer service. If you're looking for great coffee without the premium price tag, I highly recommend stopping by. I'll definitely keep coming back! Thank you guys!

The main thing that stands out here is their 1987 coffee roaster which is the center piece of the cafe. They roast various single origin beans on a daily basis, so you know you can purchase some fresh coffee beans here. If you need your beans grounded, they do grind it for you depending on your brewing method. They have beans of light roast, medium roast and dark roast and sell by various weights for a very reasonable price. They also sell various tea leaves, baked goods (croissant, muffin, scones, bagel, Danish, coffee cake, Dessert Therapy cookies, and merchs. They also have a seasonable menu that changes. When I went, it was the Sakura season menu. Staff were all friendly and were very willing to answer any questions regarding the menu. Please note, the base coffee blend for each day varies and rotates on a daily basis For my visit, I tried ... 1. Buttered Coffee (4.5/5) The base coffee for the day was the Peru single origin, which was well-balanced; slightly sweet with a hint of tartness and nuttiness. They then add a chunk of butter into the coffee, which helps cut some of the acidity, but also is supposed to enhance the caffeine effect and give you additional energy from the fat. It does leave a layer of fat/oiliness so if you are not a fan of that, then this may not be for you. The butter did give it a subtle buttery flavor, which I personally liked. 2. Matcha with Sakura Cold Foam (4/5) The matcha was blended smoothly and was not grassy at all. The Sakura cold foam didn't really taste like Sakura (been to Japan, so know what real Sakura flavor should taste like), but instead, just tasted floral. 3. Columbia Supremo Whole Beans Full body and aromatic. Good for those who like to drink black coffee 4. Guatemala Huehuetenango Whole Beans: Crisp, acidic and a hint of nuttiness Glad I found this local roaster where I'll definitely be coming back to get some more fresh beans.
