My wife & I decided to do some "Old Time Photos" for fun. Yes, it's silly, but we had a great time! The staff was very professional, friendly and worked to make sure we had a good experience from initial check-in to getting our photos. Shawna helped my wife pick out a good outfit for the Western-themed photo set. The photographer, Kayleigh, was upbeat and made sure we felt comfortable during the process. Both had great attitudes and we never felt rushed. A lot of fun! We ended up going with the all-digital package and did not get any prints there. We choose this so we could take our time later on to decide which photos we might ultimately print ourselves or have printed at a shop back home. There ended up being about 50 pictures in all, so we are pretty happy with having that many to choose from. I will say that Four Sisters is one of the higher-priced locations, but we are very happy with how the pictures turned out. It's the kind of thing we will probably only do once, so it's worth the cost for the great memories. On the other hand, we may go back and do a different theme. We'll see! Yeehaw! Had an absolute blast stepping back in time for some old-fashioned Western dress-up fun. From the cowboy hats and boots to the vintage saloon-style photo setup, everything about this experience was a rootin'-tootin' good time! It was all about the little details--authentic-looking props, great costumes, and that perfect blend of silly and stylish. Whether you're channeling your inner outlaw or saloon queen, it's impossible not to crack a smile while posing in full Wild West fashion. It was a little pricy but my family and I had fun. Incredible service from the door to dressing with Shawna and Bailee, pictures with Peter and packages with Estavez. The range of photos to choose from were great with even small differences in head position, smile or pose causing each of our kids' personalities with a Western flair. I give it a three stars due to the ending of our experience. Everythingto start with from our greeting at the front desk to our dressers Shawana and Taylynn, to our amazing photgrapher Kayleigh and her trainee were amazing and highly recommend. When it comes to getting the prints edited and figuring out pricing i thought it was a little ridiculous. For 85 edited photos the original price for a usb drive alone was 1200 dollars, then our group of 6 obviously didnt want to pay 200 dollars each for photos we were now negotiating a price and for me that felt scammish. (I could pay 300 dollars for professional photos and quick editing and get double the amount of photos.) I get they want to give us a good price but it feels that everyone would be given a different price based on the amount of people in a group which means more money for one single usb drive with 85 edited pictures plus the originals. Highly reccommend due the professional staff but the prices need to be more up front and stable, rather than being based off negotiating a price from 200 dollars per person, to 96, to 85, to 60 dollars. We were given a different price point online thats why we were so confused. Salesman is a tad pushy, try to stay strong with your budget and what you feel comfortable with paying. Photos however were fantastic and the experience while taking them was phenomenal! read more

This photo shoot was a lot of fun! My family of seven came here on our last night in Tennessee (Fri, Jun 25, 2021). When we were just a family of four, we had visited TN something like 25 years ago and had had old timey photos taken, but it was nothing like this great, professional experience. We had reserved our time for 7:30pm & arrived a few minutes early but barely had to wait before we were taken back to the dressing rooms. Our stylists were awesome, showing us all the options & helping to pick out dresses for a couple of us who weren't sure what we wanted. We chose the 1920s gangster/flapper era, and they really went all out with the costumes -- dresses, jewelry (necklaces & bracelets), feathered head pieces, faux fur wraps, fishnet stockings, heels/flats. I will say that I, for one, absolutely CANNOT walk in heels (I can barely even stand in them), and we had a little trouble finding shoes for me. I typically wear a size 7 in most other kinds of footwear (tennis shoes, sandals, boots) but all of the heels/flats in that size were way too big. But our stylist did manage to scrounge up a pair of flats I could wear (in a size 3!), so that was good. Our photographer, Asta, was so cool & personable. She kept commenting about how much she enjoyed our group & she thanked us for being her final group of the day. She was so sweet & fun to work with. She was really open to ideas for poses & different configurations within our group. She made the whole experience very enjoyable, and she ended up taking more photos of us than she typically does with most groups (we heard that a group of 13 had come in & had about 60-some photos taken; our group of 7 had more than 100 photos). At the end of the photo shoot, we viewed our photos on the screen at the front. Paul went over our photos with us, & he was really cool as well. We weren't sure what kind of package we wanted, but we absolutely loved all of the photos & were kind of disappointed at first because we knew we couldn't really afford a huge package. But Paul ended up making a great deal for us where we were able to get three 8x10 printed photos & three wooden Amish-made frames (two 8x10 & one 11x14 with an 8x10 mat), as well as the flash drive with all of our pictures, for $299. When we returned back home after the trip, I checked out the flash drive only to find that it was corrupted. My mom called to let them know & they said they would put a replacement drive in the mail the next day. It arrived this afternoon, and the flash drive is in perfect condition. All of the pictures are present & in tact. I'm so happy to have such fun, creative photos by which to remember our amazing vacation. If you have your photos taken here, be sure to look for coupons online & such ahead of time as the photo packages will be a bit pricey otherwise. Also, make sure to block out a significant chunk of time during your day so that you don't feel rushed (our appointment was 7:30pm & we didn't get out of the studio until 10:30pm -- I don't know if this is typical or not). Thanks to Asta & Paul who were both incredible to work with, along with all of the stylists (I don't know any of their names) who did an amazing job picking out the perfect costumes for us. I'd never done an old time photo before but this Girls Trip certainly called for some Gangster photos! The costumes were great; so many to choose from and fit our group small to large! The costumer was very helpful and efficient. Our photographer was a hoot! She had a vision for us all and executed it well. My only hesitation for 5 stars is the package pricing. There really is so much room to offer more options! We did all get what we wanted though, so no complaints! This is a fun thing to do as a couple, a group or the whole family! This place is a scam. It is like a car dealership where they make you wait around so long that you get tired and more likely to accept their overpriced "packages". All we wanted to do was recreate 2 photos with our kids that we had oringally done 10 years prior. Photographer wouldn't allow us to use any of our ideas, and insisted on taking 50 different photos of his choice. They dressed us up 1 hour before photos with little to no AC and a single fan pointed at the floor. The clothes are "costumes", and not actual time period attire. Who the heck smiles in old time photos? Why are they in color? Why did it take 3 hours to get one photo done? Why were there 4 employees on their phones while we were waiting to pick our photo? If I could give this place zero stars, I would! Front desk staff are rude and unwelcoming and photographers clearly despise their jobs; photos turned out just MEH and are expensive!! Sales guy pushes expensive packages on you and for the big finish....you are told, not asked, to fill out a written survey on site! Who does that anymore? Then, if they don't like your responses, they will confront you about them. If I choose to fill out a survey, I will do it online on my own time. Like other reviewers said, we too had a much better experience at a studio in downtown Gatlinburg a few years ago. Note to management: Not everyone drinks alcohol (my husband is in recovery) & therefore should be asked before whisky bottles are automatically used as props! read more

This place is great with young kids!!! If you are with younger kids or don't want to do only saloon picture, this is the place to go. The wait time after the photos for me took a little while than I thought it would but otherwise it was awesome! The prices weren't too bad either. It was $55 for 4 people which was really good compared to others. There was a great selection of photos and the photography was great. 10/10 recommended and will definitely come again the next time we're in pigeon forge!!! read more

This place is terrible. Won't let you pick any props etc. they charge 50 sitting fee with two 8x10s. I brought a coupon in out of the books and it said two free 8x10s but they said I couldn't use that because it's offered in your sitting fee. That makes no sense at all. Then they take you to a room and show you your pictures which are 500.00 for a package. Or 300 for the usb stick. That is crazy. The pictures are not even worth it. They are pushy. The guy that did ours was so rude and pushy and would interrupt you when talking. He made remarks on our photos about personal things. Made us feel Uncomfortable as can be. Love the quality and the customer service we have received here! The only reason I am giving four stars instead of five is the extremely high price that is only given AFTER you take photos. So be sure to ask before you change clothes how much it will be for your group. Again, the quality is amazing, we just were shocked when the price came to $500! Even just a CD was $450. My family chose Four Sisters because we had a coupon. I'm glad we did because this is probably the best Old Time Photo in Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg. The studio is very large, so you don't feel cramped like other places. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. They seemed like they really enjoy their work, such a positive feeling there. There is a great variety of sets, costumes, and props, all of which looked fantastic! Our photographer was Monica and she did an amazing job. She came up with creative poses, her shots looked great, and she was very professional. The only downside was the price. I know that quality costs a little more and I'm willing to pay for it, but I had a bit of sticker shock when I heard the prices of the packages. I'd give them 5 stars if pricing was a little more affordable. We had an awesome experience with Four Sisters and I highly recommend them. What an amazing experience! The clothes were so fun to dress up in the women all doted on each of us. Aking us feel so pretty! Peter the photographer and Ariel were super! All the photos came out flawlessly. Areil wanted to make sure every piece of hair was in place and strings were hidden. There were times I would feel someone fixing me, turn around and there she was making sure I was perfect! Just worth every penny! They refused to tell you up front what they are besides the "sitting" fee which for 2 people was $30 I didn't really like our photos I didn't think they were that great for what I paid for them. Prices are crazy! Be prepare to spend at least $200 for a very basic package (not a BOGO same position/portrait). Go to OLD TIME PHOTO at THE ISLAND (their prices are stated clearly on their website). I read all reviews and did a lot of research myself before heading to this place. We even got a coupon from local Walmart. My only mistake was that when I was asking about their prices they didn't tell me the exact price but instead said that they have different price packages and they could apply a coupon of $25 off. Plus on their website there was not any information on prices (BE AWARE). I had tons of photo sessions in my life and know the basics, the price, how everything adds up and how everything works, especially when my best friend is a professional photographer and once in a while I helped her with mini sessions. While staff was preparing us for a photo shoot they asked tons of questions, of course to interact with each other which is completely fine. But all of them were wondering if we had any photo sessions done before. I honestly said no because with my current life situation we didn't had any photo sessions done professionally YET. Later I figured out they did asked it for a reason. After everything was done they shows us packages: the basic started at $200 (only CD file with all images included together with photo release), then I believe was $250 and the last is $399. And we couldn't able to choose so fast what images we wanted to keep, and adding each photo for $20 (printed only) we figured out that the better choice is to negotiate with $200. They let us use a coupon and we ended up paying around $200 anyways because of crazy TN taxes. The photos came ok but nothing special. They edited them to be an old fashion of course which is what all places like this is about. Yes, they did their job and told us where to seat, to stand, to do, etc but still I was expected much better photos. I also did couple years ago and old time photo portraits, too but in Gatlinburg downtown and I still remember them as the best one. And wanted to repeat again. Too bad I wasn't satisfied and my husband agreed with me, too that photos aren't that great either. Plus the prices are super crazy! I better know the prices ahead of time but not after! And it's better to go to Old Time Photo at The Island! The prices are up for everyone to see on their website. "Four Sisters" charged as 4 tones of what "Old Time Photo at The Island" are offering (only $50). Can't imagine smiling for a photo after sitting there that long. Costume girls were nice but the 2 photographers didn't seem to care at all. This place is run by three sisters and their friend who they call their sister. It's the largest in the area and seems to have the best quality pictures. They don't look as aged as the others (which I know is an effect done on purpose for authenticity) but hubby really really liked their clarity. I had a lot of fun coming here and taking pictures. We did a number of different poses in my sexy dress and hubby's cowboy getup. I kinda wish I could've had a little more input in the poses since I'm so used to taking the pictures and posing people myself. But we had a blast. We couldn't afford to buy all the pictures afterwards or even the CD but we got our favorites. The lady at the end was willing to work with us though she seemed a little annoyed by our desire to go over the pictures again and again to narrow them down. We couldn't touch the computer to go through them ourselves, which I totally understand, but she just seemed frustrated with us. She was very nice, otherwise. They also keep pictures on file for a few weeks or months until they need to delete it, so you have a little time to change your mind and order the CD or more pictures. read more

Went in to have photos with my husband, daughter and her husband and 2 boys ages 2 and 4. So a group of 6. They did great with the boys and got some really good smiles. They interacted very well with the boys. They loved dressing up and holding the guns! Everyone was very nice and accommodating! Yeah we had no idea what the cost would be but as a photographer myself I knew it would be costly given the variety of poses and time spent. We did spend almost $300 but honestly it was worth it! We will cherish these for a long time and remember this special vacation for years to come! Thanks for a fun experience! My family visited Four Sisters Old Time Photo shop for the first time while on vacation in Pigeon Forge. We expected a pretty basic, quick "walk-in, walk-out" experience. Four Sisters provided so much more. We were a large group of eight, and did not have an appointment. No problem! Four Sisters staff warmly greeted, reviewed our options, and stylists Allison and Caroline quickly began getting the guys and girls ready for our family photo shoot. There was an extensive selection of costumes suitable for various themes, and in a variety of sizes. Allison and Caroline did a great job helping us all select costumes that aligned with our chosen theme, and each other, while also taking our personal style requests into consideration. The facility is large with a lot of props and facades, they have professional grade lighting and equipment. Our photographer JR was creative and clever, and did a great job coordinating our large group and keeping the kids in our group entertained and engaged. The GM Ron did an excellent job reviewing our 60+ photos, helping us edit and choose a photo package that fit our large group's wants, and in a price we thought was reasonable given all the effort the Four Sisters' team put into our experience. We were really impressed and had a really great time doing this as a family, and have spent most of the evening since returning to our cabin enjoying our photos, editing, and sharing on social media. read more

Rated number 1 so chose this place. Called and made an appointment. Sadly it took an hour and a half to start shooting the pictures for our family of five. Not sure if that's normal or if they were short photographers but it got very busy even after us. They do not post pricing so what we thought would be a fun event turned out to be pricey. $299 is the cheapest route or you'll be paying $40 per picture. The biggest package is $499. I do appreciate the gentlemen who edited our photos and tried to work with us on price. Just didn't expect such cost and after over two hours and taking so many pictures its hard not to buy them or the day is wasted. On the plus side the photos are GOOD and the photographer was great. When we came in and asked about pricing, they mentioned the $65 for 2 identical photos and that they also had a coupon we could use, nothing else. They failed to mention the other packages which are considerably more until the end when they take you into a private room to view your photos. The wait was very long, the dressing room situation totally unorganized (as they only had one dresser and she was in training she said, (but she was a total sweetheart otherwise) and once we were all dressed it took a very long time of waiting before our photos were taken. We were appreciative they took us upon arrival since we were walk-ins but had they told us what the wait was we would've opted to go elsewhere. Our photographer, Kayleigh, was wonderful and patient with our 4 kiddos. We opted to take less photos/less positions to keep everything as quick as possible and to make things go smoother. The prices were what were so off putting; $65 for 2 identical photos PLUS $40 for every additional photo or the next package is $299 for a USB and print release ONLY (no printed photos.) The next package has two options for the same price of $350 and the package above that is $500! Wowza. Very misleading. They made sure to let me know they were "waving all sitting fees," of course. So basically, if you like more than 3 pictures, you must get the $300 package at least, which has no actual prints (you just print yourself) and the man showing me the photos explained that the way they "edit" the photos is just adding a Sepia filter. People were friendly, just not worth the time spent there and so much money. read more

First of all- what you're probably wanting to know like I did, prices. I couldn't find them and unfortunately I paid (literally). There prices arent listed on their website and Facebook for a reason. They are EXPENSIVE. 2 of us, sitting fee $30. That's fine. ThE very cheapest package they offered you if you wanted the CD of all your pics was $249 (no prints). Roughly 51 photos. I liked around 30 of oUr portraits but only "loved" 5. It was cheaper for us to purchase separately. Which was $25 each. They gave us 1 photo (2 prints of the same one) free. So $142 for 6 total photos including the sitting fee. Employees were friendly. I am plus size (size 24) and I struggled getting into my costume. The dress tied around you instead of a closed off dress, so it technically fit but my backside was all open. The lady dressing me out a scarf back there to cover me for modesty. She let me pick my favorite color dress. She dressed me well and was sweet.. There was no stockings there that fit me. I found some that fit my legs but none of them I could pull up past my thighs. I was embarrassed. I pulled them up to the bottom of my butt, and put the boxers provided over them to hold them up. It was uncomfortable. I couldn't move my legs much. I got some good pics out of it, and it was overall a good experience. I just wish they were more open about their pricing. Pricing isn't even listed when u go in. They don't tell you till the end.. if I could do it over, I'd probably just go to the old timey photo place in the island because their prices were significantly cheaper ($45 for a usb with all photos). We weren't prepared to spend this much today. But did enjoy our experience and photos. read more

My wife and I had our photo shoot at Four Sisters Old Time Photo on May 22, 2016 while on our vacation/honeymoon. We were greeted very warmly at the door, told them what we wanted, and they went to work almost immediately. They got us dressed, and I was the first subject up. The photographer was as professional as it gets, and I had an awesome experience personally. Then my wife came out of the dressing room to get our couple's shots done and, hubba hubba, she looked awesome in her outfit. Made me fall in love with her all over again. Got 2 star because beautiful photographs. With that being said the photos are beautiful and trust me you pay for it at a high price. Cheapest package was $249 and that was with nothing printed just the copy rights to print and drive to print from. To print a single picture was $40! We had a coupon for 2 free 8x10's with the sitting fee cost and that is what we got. Went to another place that was so much cheaper, and still got wonderful photographs. Ask pricing before because it isn't clearly stated and it was awful to see beautiful pictures of the family just to hear the outrageous cost. read more

You get what you pay for. The great reviews led us here and we didn't regret the experience. Our group of 4 grandchildren with their Pop Pop got a wonderful set of photos as a result. The costumes, sets, and props were all fun in this large studio, but what stuck out to me was our great photographer who really made it fun and got smiles out of the kids. I have always wanted to do these pictures so I was so excited to have found this place on Groupon. I made my appointment, but left in tears. I wasted over a hour of my day here to end up with a photographer that was such an amateur that when I went to view my photos not a single one was useful that had me in it because I wear glasses and all you saw was a big reflection and not my face. I ended up leaving with a picture of my husband by himself. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Not to mention be prepared to spend $199 - $399 if you want more than one shot or the CD with all them!! read more

Kris was our photographer and was fantastic and a good bit of fun. We enjoyed it immensely and loved the value for the experience we had.

We came in with a large group, just wanting to get pictures of the children. The staff were fast, and very good with the children. Because of the number of adults with the group, we were asked to go sit and did not see the process of shooting the pictures. The group pictures went well, but when it came time for the individual shots, one of the children was given a baseball bat as a prop. We had to show these pictures to the children's grandparents, and I can assure you that the grandmother was extremely unhappy to see the little girl, her favorite grandchild, dressed in a pretty flapper dress posing with a baseball bat! When asked about the bat, the gentleman who was helping us said that it was Al Capone's favorite weapon. The other girls got to pose with a flower, and a cool phone. Why in the world would one of the children be given a weapon known for causing blunt-force trauma to pose with when the other's were given telephones and flowers?? That definitely spoiled what was up until then quite a pleasant and lovely experience read more
