I had been referred to this body shop for my cars repairs and when I called the owner immediately sent a tow truck from warren RI to Quincy MA and pick me and my car up, the driver dropped me off at home and the rest was taken into the hands of the men at the business. They started repairing my car the minute the insurance appraiser left their shop. My car looks phenomenal and they even fixed a couple of things that I had been missing when i purchased the car. Overall my experience with them was great, everything went smoothly and I will return to them in the future if I ever need their services again. And I will be sure to refer my friends to bring their business there as well!

But earlier this year I took my 2013 BMW 750 Li back to United Collision and they completely damaged my black paint. I am so furious at the awful workmanship and disrespectful manner in which I have been treated. After the 4th attempt (yes the 4th attempt) to repair the damage they did to my paint, I thought my car was repaired. It looked great. Thankfully it rained later that same day which revealed that they only masked the scratches and swirls with black wax! It only rained and my car looked like crap. The very next morning I returned to the shop and was told by Micky (manager) " What else do you want us to do? You liked it yesterday. What do you want?! We don't know what else to do, sorry! Micky has no respect for me as a customer or as a woman. He was aggressive, evasive, and nonchalant every time I encountered him! Interacting with him was very difficult and I refuse to speak to him again. He treated me as if I damaged his CAR! After the 4th attempt to correct the damages, they then tried admitting to only damaging my hood and bumper. Now I'm being told that their repairs (scratches and swirls) meet industry standards. Since when do new parts with fine scratches and swirls meet anyone's standard? This is unacceptable service. United Collision is bullying me because they believe they can leave me damaged! They have their money, why would they care? United Collision Center (Duluth) has No Integrity. I wish I would have never taken my car there. They replaced my hood, bumper, and side panel and ruined the paint on my entire car. The warranty they hand customers is just for show! They never intended to live up to their guarantees! When we later spoke with the general manager, Jeff Brown I thought to myself "There was a huge distinction between Micky and Jeff". Jeff Brown later spoke with a professional from Detailed Design Auto Spa, who is willing to repair the damages for $2500, but now Jeff seems committed to ripping me off. He's actually a great communicator but a total rip off. After damaging my car, he wants to stick me with the bill! After finding out how much it will cost to repair the damages they have done to my car, Jeff decided to stick with their industry standard motto! Good business ethics involves paying for mistakes your company makes! We own a business in Gwinnett County with company vans that will never end up in this collision center for minor or major repairs. They should All be ashamed of themselves! I don't trust companies that focus more on their bottom line than the service they provide to their customers. It's not like I'm asking for a new paint job. But then again this is how you end up with 3.5 stars. I should've read the reviews myself before giving UCC my business. You're criminals who refuse to do the right thing! He did not state that there was a diagnostic charge at all. The guy he sent me to said please don't involve me they send me a lot of people. Upon stating that I realized I am not the only one they have done this to. It seems that they make a $30 charge upon checking your vehicle. Then they tell you hey, you need a flush go here. CARadiator doesn't know anything about it. They make $30 for doing nothing. STAY AWAY. I will be disputing it with my bank just because they guy treated me poorly.

We made an appointment and showed up on time. I explained the issue and I left the car. About 4 hours later, they called me telling me that they had filled the system with freon since it was low on freon and they gave me a total price. My husband said that in the past, Jim would call before any repairs with an estimate to make sure the customer was OK with the path forward...this time, I just got the work done without any previous chance to "think about it". I arrived, got my car and paid....when I saw my credit card receipt, I noticed that the charge was higher than what I was quoted....I was then told that any credit card charge incurs a 4% extra processing fee... I was just surprised by the lack of transparency. Who walks around with hundreds or thousands of dollars in their wallet??? I think the best is to quote the credit card price and tell the customer that they offer a 4% discount if paid in cash.....

The bill came to over $1000. The car also needed to stay the night when they originally said it would be ready in time. After it finally being ready after a 2 hour wait the following day, the noise still wasn't fixed. She was told to bring the car back another day and they would fix it for free and it would take two hours. It was finished right before close, she was charged over $300 for yet another part she never approved for, and guess what? It's still making the noise. This is the worst mechanic we've ever encountered. Stay. Away. Seriously. Terrible business, terrible mechanics, terrible people.

Along the way, we also received another quote, that was similar to Sparky's. I'm left to conclude that they are either completely incompetent or, more likely, trying to take advantage of my girlfriend. Avoid these shysters.

Steve Medeiros answered the phone and suggested we try to push the dent out because why would I want to replace a bumper on my older car. I was surprised that he suggested an easy fix and so so grateful. I came by the next day and he spend about 30 min pushing the dent out himself to much success! On top of saving me the cost of a new bumper, he didn't charge me a penny for his time. I owe him big time and plan to go no where but the Mike's Auto Body family of businesses.
