However, over the past two years I have spent close to two thousand dollars in repairs. The last three repairs.... $300+ April , 2025., $600+ November/ 2024 & $700+ August/2024. There are more repairs but, those are a few examples. I have been told by the mechanics themselves they run diagnostic to see what the problem is. And yes I'm their defense my car is a 2001 Honda Accord, I am disabled and cannot afford another car at this time. However, if they believed the car has reached its end, why keep almost literally stealing my money. The truth could've saved me thousands. So, six days after my car breaks again l, called to report the problem . The rude phone attendant told me "yeah just have it towed there & it's gonna be about a week!" I stated, "my car was just there six days ago, you had it for a week already, you had it for a week a few months ago as well and I'm not paying for yet another tow!" He told me he could have the car towed on Monday, claimed to write down my address and phone number, that was a week ago today and still no call, no apology, no professionalism, no customer support. I am disappointed beyond measure & disappointed that a good mechanic/owner let poor staff ruin his once reputable business.

The place looks like it has been there for decades, it's always busy, and the employees are friendly. I never get the sense that they are overcharging me or trying to get me to do work that really isn't necessary on an old beater car. Having said that I also feel that they take pride in doing good work, and I wouldn't hesitate to bring a nice newer car here either. I've been for inspections, oil changes, and a few larger repairs and I'm always very satisfied with the experience. Steve Medeiros answered the phone and suggested we try to push the dent out because why would I want to replace a bumper on my older car. I was surprised that he suggested an easy fix and so so grateful. I came by the next day and he spend about 30 min pushing the dent out himself to much success! We've been to Brum's a few times for oil changes and minor repairs and we're glad we did. We have found Brum's to be reliable, honest, timely, and reasonable. They have not tried to up sell anything, but at the same time informed me when (for example) I needed new rear tires. He asked where I had the front done and agreed they did good work. They are always pleasant and professional. I recommend Brum's very highly and will not go someplace else if Brum's can do the work!

Many months later, I received a letter from BMW that a particular component was now under warranty, which was the first service that Brums had repaired. Sean from Brums was so patient, and helped with multiple requests from BMW to have the repair retroactively covered. This was months after the fact, and I'm not sure many repair shops would have taken so much time to help. If my car needs service, this is where it will continue to go!

I also received a "friendly" reminder text on Sunday about my appointment on Monday. Fast forward to Monday morning I arrived 15 minutes prior to my scheduled appointment at 8am. It's nothing fancy but I love this car a lot and it means a lot to me. It used to be the car my grandparents drove me around in when I was little. I won't ramble too much about it's backstory but long story short my grandmother has since passed and my grandfather gifted it to me when I got my license. So in April I was in a really bad accident. I got nailed pretty bad in the passenger side. It was bad enough that the engine shut off and my hazard lights turned on automatically. Anyways, the insurance company totaled it and I was devastated but not really surprised because its a 2008. I've gotten work done by Dave & his employees in the past because of a minor fender bender and my parents have gotten all of their cars from him in the past so I felt that he was the best person to bring it to. Fast forward a couple days when he got back from vacation he DID advise that I don't bother with it because of where it got hit and the amount of money in damages it was. I explained my situation and the sentimental value of the car to him and persisted that I was more than willing to pay out of pocket whatever the difference was between what the job was worth and what the insurance gave me. He agreed to fix it and even still he insisted I would not pay more than what the insurance company gave me and after a couple of weeks I went to pick it up and my total was 700$ less than what the insurance company gave me and over 1000$ less than what the appraiser said the damages were! I still had a couple of minor issues with the interior afterwards and he fixed all of those too without charging me another dime. Overall, Dave took care of my wallet and my car and I couldn't be more grateful for his willingness to help me out in a tough spot, and the quality of the work done on my vehicle. I hope I don't have to go to his shop anytime soon again lol but god forbid anything happens to my car again I 100% know where I'm taking it. Everyone that works there is very nice and show genuine compassion for their customers. If anyone reading this just smashed up their car and want it back new without having to sell a kidney, this is definitely the place to go. Once again thank you Dave for helping me out I REALLY didn't want to lose this car.
