I took the car to Pat and he stopped what he was doing and started to diagnose the car. He then told me that most likely it wasn't serious. I told him I had an important doctors appointment the next morning and asked if I should rent a car. He said "leave the car with me." Later that day, he called me and said the car was repaired! Wow, was I grateful and relieved that he was able to fix the car the SAME DAY! I always trust Pat. He and his team are very customer focus, honest and competent. We've been to Brum's a few times for oil changes and minor repairs and we're glad we did. We have found Brum's to be reliable, honest, timely, and reasonable. They have not tried to up sell anything, but at the same time informed me when (for example) I needed new rear tires. He asked where I had the front done and agreed they did good work. They are always pleasant and professional. I recommend Brum's very highly and will not go someplace else if Brum's can do the work!

Many months later, I received a letter from BMW that a particular component was now under warranty, which was the first service that Brums had repaired. Sean from Brums was so patient, and helped with multiple requests from BMW to have the repair retroactively covered. This was months after the fact, and I'm not sure many repair shops would have taken so much time to help. If my car needs service, this is where it will continue to go!

I had a dent on my bumper that was preventing me from passing my state inspection (even though it's…read morepassed for the last 10 years), so I called up Mike's to talk about options. Steve Medeiros answered the phone and suggested we try to push the dent out because why would I want to replace a bumper on my older car. I was surprised that he suggested an easy fix and so so grateful. I came by the next day and he spend about 30 min pushing the dent out himself to much success! On top of saving me the cost of a new bumper, he didn't charge me a penny for his time. I owe him big time and plan to go no where but the Mike's Auto Body family of businesses. I called about a week ago to set up an inspection and no one answered the phone initially, no voicemail, but not a huge deal. I was told I needed to call and speak to the owner to set it up. No offer to have him call me. Again, not a huge deal, but foretelling of the (lack of) professionalism that was to come... I called again and was given an earful about what a waste of time it would be for him to do the inspection "I only make $6 on it, so you must bring cash or a check, I don't take cars or I would only make $3". It is not worth it to me. I'm not sure why he felt the need to disclose this information to me... but I digress. I ask about how long the appointment will take. I'm told after I tell him my car is relatively new with no obvious issues "everyone thinks there car will pass and has no issues". Ok, I leave it at that. Until... I went into another establishment to have my windshield wipers replaced in the interim... the kid installing them ends up cracking my windshield (now I have less than 2 weeks until said inspection is due). I call on the next business day to let the gentleman (I use this term loosely) know that I'm unsure how to now proceed. I called at least 4 or 5 times at all different times of day to try and be courteous in event I SHOULD cancel the appointment. Again, no answer. The next day, I call again and someone answers, I ask if it is the owner, realizing that he is the only one I am "supposed to" talk with about this matter. He will not identify himself. He tells me "too many people want to talk with him and he doesn't want to talk to them." I tell him about what has transpired. He tells me "I'm not the one who did it. I have inspections on my own cars, I'm not worried about your car." He begins laughing. I am perplexed by the way the owner received and handled my simple request. What should I do in this circumstance; should I still have the inspection, anticipating it will not pass and I'll need to see this unprofessional clown more than once. I tell him I don't find it funny. I tell him how I tried calling the previous day and didn't get through. I know he deals with this all the time, but I don't and I'm trying to figure out what to do. He tells me "I don't care what you do, we always answer except during lunch hour and we don't answer when the car is on a lift, I don't want to drop a car to answer a call. I've been in business 40 years. We answer. So he is suggesting I'm lying I suppose. He said "why don't you call me another 5x, I have your appointment in the books; come or don't come, I don't care!" And the clincher, he hangs up on me. The Owner was incredibly rude, condescending dismissive and completely unprofessional. Clearly he didn't want my business. I obviously didn't go to the appointment, he didn't even give me the chance to respond I wouldn't be there. Instead, I went to Sun gas station, just a little way away, where they know how to treat customers, the gentleman there was pleasant, efficient and helpful. The complete opposite experience that I had with this shop. Good luck staying in business with your attitude, unkind sir.

I was given an estimate of between $300-400 for front break repair and filter and oil change. I ended up with a bill for $1,048!!!! No one from Smith Auto had the courtesy of checking in with me once they realized the cost would be so extremely different from their ludicrously deceptive and deceiving estimate. They trapped me and won't hesitate to trap you. I don't trust them, and would advise anyone around not to trust them either. On top of that, they'll add 4% if you use a credit card to pay. Brian was able to fit me in right away and took the time to review the pros and cons of a wide range of options. In less than a day he was able to professionally mount and wire a front and rear mirror dash cam with no visible alterations to the car's interior. I already loved my Jeep prior to the modifications but now I absolutely adore the way it looks. The owner restores much older jeeps, as well. The minimal yet snazzy lift not only allows me to basically drive over just about anything but it looks incredible. The lift didn't affect the gas mileage too bad as I was first warned by the haters who don't have a lifted Jeep, ha! My Jeep is rad.
