    Tacos

Seafood tacos with indoor and patio seating. Free parking available. We came here for a late lunch after the San Diego Safari Park and were greeted by a friendly waitress. I had the garlic shrimp, smoked tuna, and fish tacos. I'd highly recommend the smoked tuna taco but all of them were tasty. They had guitarist playing live music indoors, which was really nice. Credit cards accepted.

My little book club met here for a long lunch on their covered patio. We ordered a variety of tacos and drinks - horchata and Jamaica and a mocktail margarita. I got the tropical tostada and it was so fresh and loaded with ahi - although when they say spicy, they mean spicy! The service was amazing and they were so attentive to us, even as we relaxed and chatted for a long time. It was a great choice and we really enjoyed it!

Came here for lunch today with my friends. I ordered the salmon salad. The fish was nicely seasoned and the veggies were very fresh. The fish was a very thin slice so it was a bit on the dry side. Overall, I did enjoy it. Two friends ordered the Mahi Mahi entree. They both liked their dishes and commented their fish was also thin and dry. The flour tortillas that came with their dish were freshly made and absolutely addicting! One friend ordered the torre sky scraper, which was a stack of cooked shrimp, octopus, scallops, shrimp ceviche, fish ceviche, cucumber, and onions served with chips. Another friend ordered deep fried butterfly shrimp. Our server also brought out some complimentary chips and really spicy salsa and we each also got a sample of the fish soup. I would come back for the fish soup on a cold day! Note: Only the initial serving of chips was free. Refills for the chips only were $2. Refills for chips and salsa $6.50. The restaurant was very clean and had a good number of tables indoors, as well as a large covered area with more tables outside. I would not recommend drinking the water. It tasted like unfiltered faucet water.

One of my favorite mariscos restaurant in SD. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Sweet: Everything I've ever tried is fresh and flavorful. I typically get an assortment of tacos. The fish taco is light and flavorful. You can't go wrong with any of the tacos. I love their chips they serve at the table. They offer a mix of sauces that enhance the tacos even more. Sour: It cost $5 I believe for another round of chips and salsa. It's worth it though.

Great variety on the menu. I got the ahi appetizer as a meal and it was delicious. It was light, flavorful, and nicely spicy. It was definitely what I was looking for.

Got the Torres Sky Scraper. So refreshing and delicious. My new favorite. Shrimp is perfectly cooked and the spice was well balanced. Add a little of the green and red house hot sauce and *chef kiss, perfect bite.

Good seating inside and out. Lots of parking outside. Good for big parties. Burrito was good. Staff is nice.

Stopped by one evening while in town for some tacos and ceviche. Service was friendly and attentive. We ordered the shrimp chimichanga and it was really tasty, but definitely heavy given its generous portion and also being deep fried. The side vegetables were well cooked. We also ordered three tacos: fish, octopus, and smoked tuna. The fish was well battered and fried. The smoked tuna was not overly smoked and was one of the better smoked tuna I have had. The octopus was very tender, but a bit too salty. Overall, a solid place for a good meal.

Five delicious tacos, including the excellent smoked tuna one. Terrible photo, my apologies.

Smoked tuna. Keep that in mind. This place was not easy to find (Google directions took me to every corner of the mini-mall) but I am glad I didn't give up. By the way, are there four tunas here? Three? Five? Does it matter? Incidentally, "tuna" in Spanish does not mean "tuna" in English. But tuna means tuna here at this very attractive little restaurant. This is a place that sells excellent tacos but the menu is beautiful and serves much more than just tacos, with a strong emphasis on seafood. We ordered our food to go and tried five different tacos: garlic shrimp, avocado, gobernador, spicy shrimp, and smoked tuna. Everyone loves the smoked tuna and add me to that club. It's delicious. Every taco was very good and, fair warning, the spicy shrimp taco is legitimately spicy. But you simply must get the smoked tuna. You select corn or flour for your tortilla and we selected flour, being the gringos we are. I don't know if the tortillas were freshly-made but they were very good and, at a minimum, grilled before they were served. Let's just say the tortillas were delicious. The chips were crispy and freshly made and wonderful. My guess is the salsa that accompanies the chips (and I am not referring to the hot sauces) was made fresh, too. It was very chunky and flavorful and perfect for chip scooping. The customer service here was great. While we waited for our order, they gave us little complimentary servings of a delicious seafood soup served in shot glasses. That is good service. I wish we had eaten in and will do so next time. Forgive the terrible photo I took of the tacos. They really are excellent. Smoked tuna. Remember that.

This place is amazing!! Glad we came out of the rain to eat here. The service is great, Alicia is amazing. So attentive. They are so nice and the food came out quickly. We started with fish chicharron $15.95. It was great!! It was perfectly fried and the fish is moist. The sauce is amazeball. Now let's get down to the rest of what we ordered. Fish and fries for kids $13.95. Great size and nice and crispy fish. You gotta ask for the tartar sauce. 1 Shrimp taco & spicy shrimp tacos $6.95 each. Delicious Seafood mix $6.45 was okay. Our favorites 2 Smoke Tuna for $10.90, four tuna Dorado $6.95 and fish tacos for $3.5. According to my foodie of a daughter, the house sauce for the tacos have a really nice pop of acidity. They are not stingy on serving size. I ordered 2 tacos and I was satisfied. The horchata was also really good. FREE REFILL!! The restaurant have plenty of sitting area indoor and outdoor. The bathroom is clean and it's inclusive.

Spicy Shrimp Taco ($6.45) - This was my favorite of the 3 tacos because it was bursting with flavor! It had a great level of heat and I liked the melted cheese. Fish Taco ($3.50) - This was a simple, yet delicious fish taco. You have to try it if you want tacos here because it's such a classic and very well-executed. Fortunas Dorado Taco ($7.45) - I wasn't a huge fan of this one because it was overwhelmingly loaded with crema. The shrimp was great though.

FIRANGI Authentic Indian Gastropub -- What a Place!…read more Wow. I honestly walked in expecting a good Indian restaurant... but what I found was something completely different. This place isn't just a restaurant -- it's a full-blown lounge with style. First thing you notice is the vibe. Beautiful Tiffany-colored interior, elegant lighting, and a stunning marble bar that looks like it belongs in some high-end lounge in London or Dubai. Very classy, very comfortable, very cool. But wait... it gets better. POOL TABLES! And not just decoration -- actual playable tables. $1 a game! I nearly fell off my chair. I haven't played in ages. When I was younger I used to be pretty serious about pool, so naturally I had to grab a cue and see if I still had the magic. Let's just say... the spirit is still there, even if the aim needs a little polishing. They even run pool tournaments on Saturdays, which is amazing. So now suddenly dinner can turn into a little friendly competition. I'm already planning my comeback tour. Now about the food -- absolutely authentic and delicious. Real Indian flavors, beautifully presented, rich spices, and clearly prepared with care. Everything we tried was excellent and I'm already planning my next visit because I have to try the lamb. I've heard it's fantastic. A special thank-you to Sky, the lady boss of this place. She is super friendly, incredibly polite, and very professional. You can immediately tell she knows the cuisine inside and out. She explained dishes, made recommendations, and made us feel genuinely welcome. Hospitality like that makes a huge difference. So what do we have here? * Beautiful lounge atmosphere * Marble bar and stylish interior * Authentic Indian cuisine * Pool tables for $1 (yes, really) * Saturday tournaments * Fantastic hospitality Honestly, this place is a hidden gem. A perfect spot for dinner, drinks, and maybe a little pool if you're feeling competitive. Let's just say this: I will definitely be coming back... probably way too often. If you see a guy practicing pool shots while waiting for his lamb curry -- that's probably me. Highly recommended. woww

One suggestion would be for the staff to ask customers about their preferred spice level, especially since many people have very different expectations when it comes to South Asian food. That said, spice preferences are personal, and next time I'll be sure to ask for my food extra spicy. I'm willing to give it another try and see if that makes a difference!

Parking was easy; dining was outside with lots of shade. The service was great; everyone was so friendly. We didn't wait long for our food or drinks. They even split the salad for us individually. We ordered the lobster bisque, mussels with a red curry sauce, farmers market green salad, and ceviche. They were all so delicious! All the flavors were present as stated in the menu but were balanced and subtle which we loved. Our favorites were the bisque and the mussels. The lobster bisque was delicate and creamy with a hint of lobster. The ceviche was a tad bit too tart but we still enjoyed it with the fried chips. For happy hour, I highly recommend this place.
