All I can say is wow this place blows you away from craft cocktails to the amazing decorations. The service staff is quick and attentive. They are always friendly when we come in for our pre game date night drinks or post date night drinks and we have brought many a friend here because of it. I had such a great experience tonight at Misadventure! I ordered the Jealous Cousin and divine, really well balanced and memorable. The owner was doing to Earth and welcoming, which made the atmosphere feel even more inviting. I also met a regular who told me about their 1920's themed murder mystery event. He mentioned tickets are available on their website and it honestly sounds like a fun night out. The space itself is charming, there is a patio area, and I loved the detail of having a piano along with live music on certain nights. They rotate a seasonal menu, which keeps things interesting, and offer all day happy hour on Mondays. Between the drinks, food, and overall ambiance, it is a place I will definitely return to. "Oooh, Mango Dragonfire? Hashtag: Livin' on the edge!" Social media puts too much pressure on us to have big, dramatic thrills. Why can't 'adventure' be going across town to a new McD's*? "Whoa, this is different. I wonder if they have the same happy meal toys". (Spoiler alert: they do.) The truth is, most of us are not wired for too much adventure, or misadventure. Is climbing up a big mountain and saying, "This is so exhilarating!" believable? Really? You're exhausted, your finger tips are frozen, and you just hid from a Timber Wolf. Love this hidden gem speakeasy! The drinks are so good. They have vodka cocktails, and they make their own vodka! The bartenders/servers are amazing, all super kind, friendly, and knowledgeable. There's a comfortable variety of seating options inside and out, conducive to relaxing with drinks and friends/family -- as there are even some board games available to play. Love the laid-back atmosphere! We just went for drinks; however, they do offer a food menu, as well. We came here for dinner on a Saturday night. Here are the highs and lows. Highs: great service, delicious drinks, yummy food. Lows: the weirdest location, the vibe inside is just as weird, the cocktails and food don't match at all. We won't come back, BUT I would definitely recommend this place to locals in Vista looking for a quaint watering hole. You'll get good service and ingest tasty things. I'm sad that the original owners sold their distillery but happy for them as they created something unique and had a wonderful story. We haven't been back for a while now about 2 years. It's still a cocktail bar, and we came and had some high balls. Their cocktails were a bit too sweet for us this time and wasn't able to taste much of the alcohol. We were the only patrons when we first arrived...Crystal was the bartender and she was awesome! We started with bloody Mary's, delicious! I've been here a few times so far and it's definitely one of my favorite cocktail places in North County hands down! It's also awesome that they're opened pretty late considering most places close at around 9pm. I'm a huge fan of their highballs as I haven't had any places so far that make it as great as they do. I remember I found out about this place when attending a Yelp Elite event during pre-COVID time and the servers and drinks were so good back then. And they continue to be so good with even better drinks! The bartender/server is super nice (I forgot to ask her name) that makes me want to visit again. She told me that they have live music happening on Friday/Saturday nights, which you can check on their social media for all their updates. The place is pretty spacious and it's never crowded when I visit and I've visited here during weekday nights. Parking is pretty big so also a huge perk! Went to meet up with some old Co workers and get some drinks and snacks. The bartender was super sweet and helpful. I'm not sure how my coworkers liked their drinks but I wasnt too big of a fan. I tried their holiday drinks and the banana one was way too sweet but the banana itself was good. I then did the egg nog one which was better but still nothing fantastic about it. The chips were basic but the salsa was ok. The deviled eggs id advise against them. They tasted old. The interior decor was really nice. The outside can be easy to miss because Google maps takes you to the back. Interesting location, almost seems like it's in an office park and the outside is pretty unassuming. However inside you are taken into a diverse interior with excellent drinks and food. We came here after completing the Carlsbad Marathon so we didn't necessarily look or feel the best after our nap haha, Misadventure took care of us though and set us up in a nice quiet corner. The drinks were excellent and balanced, the diverse menu really caught our eyes. The food was well done too and should definitely not be overlooked. After my birthday dinner, I wanted to grab drinks somewhere new. Yelp pointed me to Misadventure & Co. I had never seen this place before, even though I worked in Vista for a few years. It's not in the best location, that's for sure. We walked in and it wasn't packed since the bar was closing in a couple of hours. The lights were dimmed down which created a nice ambience. The bartender was awesome and greeted us when we walked in. She was a lifesaver because I accidentally left my purse there. She made sure it was safe, even texting other staff members to let them know. When I called the next day, they had it waiting for me. The drinks were great. They had a crème brûlée dessert where the top was torched right in front of us. It added a cool effect and tasted amazing. We also found out they host a lot of events during the week like live music and murder mystery nights. They even have games you can play with your group if you want. Upon entering, you'll be greeted by a stunning bar and friendly staff. To the left, there's a cabinet stocked with various games you can take to your table. The establishment is cozy, with warm, dim lighting that creates an intimate atmosphere. One of my favorite areas features dark red velvet couches, heavy drapery, two armchairs, a fireplace, and a poetic quote on the ceiling. I love that they offer not only physical menus but also leather-engraved barcodes for online viewing. At Misadventures, they craft their own cocktail mixtures and distill their own vodka, which they sell. Typically, I enjoy a traditional Old Fashioned, but Misadventures' unique twist, called Dark Money, is delightful. They also offer various wood options for adding a smoky flavor, with apple and cherry being my favorites. They serve small bites, and I highly recommend the charcuterie board. The variety of cheeses is delicious, and it makes for a beautiful display. Among all the enjoyable elements, our phenomenal guide, Crystal, stood out the most. Funny spot in a business park when you drive in, but once you enter - it feels like a well traveled professor's library. The ceilings are dropped for an intimate feeling. The light illuminating from Turkish lamps is romantic. The wall decor is interesting and the best kind of eclectic. There's definitely no shortage of interesting pieces to look at in here!
