Ordered off of GrubHub tonight. I grabbed my order and thought, woah this feels heavy.. For a $7 shrimp ceviche tostada, they don't skimp. I actually went back and forth on whether I wanted to order two but it turns out one was perfect. It came with a bag of chips, two house salsas, a bag of fresh limes, crackers, tapatío and mayonnaise. Get this- the ceviche was mostly shrimp too! Not all cucumber & tomato filler like a lot of places do. The ceviche was delicious too. Very bright, fresh, and tangy. The Gobernador taco was delicious too. Full of melted cheese and delicious plump shrimp. I think this place gets slept on, it's so good. I've been there with friends and would suggest the enchilado taco too. read more

Should've listen to the comments. I rarely leave bad reviews, but the service here was genuinely terrible. We sat down and ordered a grapefruit Jarrito, only for the waitress to tell us they were out--and then I watched her hand one to another table minutes later. On top of that, the owner personally walked up to a neighboring table to give them complimentary chips and salsa, while our table was completely ignored and never received any. It took 20 minutes just to get our drinks. For food, we ordered ceviche and a shrimp cocktail. Since these are both cold dishes that require no actual cooking time, we didn't expect a massive delay. However, after waiting 40 minutes--and watching a table that sat down 10 minutes after us get their hot food served first--our dishes never arrived. At that point, we had enough. We paid for our drinks and walked out. Unbelievably poor service and blatant favoritism. Save your time and money and go somewhere else. read more

This place is the worst do not go here. The food is already really bad here and to top it off we got the check and tell me why the price was a $5 different than what the menu said. I ordered a coctel and it said $22.50 and when I got the check it was $27.04. Then my boyfriend got a soup and it said 21.99 and on the check it was 22.87. Like that's is not okay and when I asked the waiter she said the manager and owners doesn't want to change the menus so they just over charge people. We were craving mariscos and found Mariscos Mazatlán on Yelp. When we got there we decided to dine in, but that turned out to be a mistake. The restaurant had a DJ booth and the music was extremely loud. So loud that my wife and I couldn't even have a conversation. After waiting a few minutes, we decided to ask for our food to go. Unfortunately, the food wasn't much better. I ordered the camarones cucaracha and they were very overcooked, almost like the shrimp had been deep fried. They were dry and had no sauce I was disappointed. My wife ordered a tostada de aguachiles verdes. The flavor was okay, but it seemed like the cucumbers weren't properly washed or peeled, and they didn't try to wash the shrimp it was also dirty. Overall, the experience was disappointing. Between the loud atmosphere and the food quality, we won't be coming back. They definitely need to improve their food quality. read more

The drinks arrived incomplete, and when we finally thought our food was coming, the server casually told us there was "no coconut for the shrimp" -- after 40 minutes of waiting. At that point, we had no choice but to cancel the entire order. I still paid for the drinks (two sodas and one bottled water), and we did not even receive an apology, which is the bare minimum in a situation like this. When we went we were the only table at that particular time. It started to pick up as we were leaving. The music is perfect it makes you feel as if you are at a restaurant on the plyas and there is a groupo playing. It has a semi modern look to the dining area. The food was good the chips and salsa come pre seasoned and we're quite delectable. The food we got wasn't spicy. I wish there was a bit more spice to the dishes but they were still good. These guys get the 4 for the cooking quality. Calamari / octopus is a hit or miss for a lot of places but both it and the shrimp in the cocktail were nicely cooked. No chewyness. That is a big plus in my book. The ambience and space inside is ample, the view is nice too, even for it just overlooking the street. Nothing I tried screamed crazy good, but they were ok. Came to this place in hope of some good birria on a Sunday morning, so we decided to try theirs out. The staff was really friendly which is why I decided to give 3 stars instead of 2. The birria on the other hand was not great. It was full of fat, in fact it was mostly fat, and I felt grossed out looking at all the pieces of fat floating. We also tried the quesatacos and they were also mostly fat and the meat was really dry and unflavorful. I would say skip on the birria at this place. So today i came in with my family to try this resturant for the first time, i ordered 2 mojacetes 2 tacos at first the place looked nice , however 20 min after ordering our food and being seated the waiter comes to my table only to tell me that they do not have the mocajete. I was shocked that it took them 20 min just to let me know that they didnt have what i wanted, i ordered something else instead and waited another 40 min for them to bring out 2 tacos and then waited another 20 min just to recieve my main entree, they forgot the tortillas and a soda asked for 3 boxes gave me two waited 5 more minuets for the last box paid 80$ and wont be coming back. This may be my new "go to" spot! Just left here and I loved it! Food was amazing, service was just as great, and the drinks were even better! They greeted us promptly and brought chips and salsa. We ordered 2 micheladas, which were pretty damn good. And it just so happened to be buy 1 get 1 free! How cool is that. My boyfriend and I each ordered the campechana, which contained the usual, shrimp, octopus and oyster. The seafood was fresh and let me tell you, they are not skimpy on the seafood! If im being honest, the customer service was definitely there, the 2 girls who were taking my family's order and checking in on us were very kind. However, it's a very small restaurant, no AC and the food took SOOOOOOO long to come out, we waited about 1 hour and 20 minutes for our food to come to our table. We weren't the only ones who were frustrated there was about 3 other families who continued going up to the counter to ask how much of a longer wait there was for the food. When the food arrived it wasn't even warm, so that was concerning, considering we waited a long period for hot food. Portion sizes were regular serving sizes, not cheap on the meat or too much. They had a DJ playing music inside the restaurant and he was playing the music ridiculously LOUD, im used to hearing loud music at any other restaurants but the music was too loud the tables were vibrating. On the minus side, the wait staff seemed to touch their hair and faces a lot and continued to serve food without washing their hands. Also, someone that I presume to be a manager. PROS: food is really good CONS: super slow in kitchen (it took 25 minutes for our food to arrive) They brought my birria first (tasted amazing), then literally waited another 10 minutes for my husband's order.
