We stumbled across Fourno's after walking out of another restaurant due to abysmal service... and walked into a delightful dining experience! The two servers were polite, efficient and a delight to interact with. They made us feel more like welcome guests in their homes than customers at a restaurant. The drink selection was limited but I found a delicious local beer and my wife had a frozen strawberry coconut concoction (Miami Vice) that reminded her of her favorite drink from a Caribbean resort. We couldn't have been happier with the food. She had a pasta dish with vegetables (she's a vegetarian) and I had shrimp and veggies over rice. Both were delicious and the portions were very generous. The shrimp were huge but still tender and there were 6 of them where I would have expected 3. The only reason I'm not giving the 5th star is the ambiance. Fourno's is doing a wonderful job taking a piece of sidewalk and turning it into a dining area... love the big umbrellas and the festive Greek music... it's fun to watch people walking by take a moment to dance a bit to the music. Still, you can't help but notice that, despite fantastic efforts, you're seated in kind of a side street and the back lot is a little rough around the edges. Was visiting Niagara on the lake and found this hidden gem. Was there for lunch. Tons of parking but for a fee and some public transportation. Decided on the gyro lunch special The meat was so tender and spiced perfect. We were lucky to find a delicious Greek restaurant with Al fresco dining, perfect for enjoying the beautiful weather. This is definitely a very affordable restaurant on Niagara on the Lake compared to the other restaurants. My girlfriend and I stopped here before heading back to the USA for lunch and were thoroughly impressed! We started with the garlic bread appetizer, and for the $7 price it was a little underwhelming and I would definitely recommend going for a different appetizer. However, both the Pork Slouvaki and Chicken Slouvaki lunches were delicious! Each was accompanied by a Greek said and a side of tahini dressing. The meat was fork tender, the rice was full of flavor, and the Greek salad was fresh! The service was very good as well! Food is worst Greek food I've had. Greek salad dressing mostly vinegar. Sangria is mostly pop. Over priced. Music is mostly mid eastern and not enjoyable. Party of four - nobody enjoyed their meal. One star because they added $5 to my bill for paying with a credit card. There was no prior notification of the charge. There were no signs in the restraurant. I just happen to noticed that it on the payment terminal. The server said it was a management decision to code the payment terminal that way with no notification to the customer. Plus we were charged an extra $5 just to add feta to some fries. I have visited this restaurant when in the area before and I will not be returning because of the deceptive methods. read more

Came here for lunch with a few friends, and the food was amazing!! I got the chicken souvlaki w/ greek salad and I loved it. My friends also tried my dish and fell in love. I felt like the portions were perfect, not too little and not too much. The service was okay. Despite our waitress being kind, she was pretty slow. I asked her for straws, and I reminded her about 2-3 times. When she brang it, she just touched them with her hands after dealing with other orders and just put them on the table which was already dirty.. was not impressed at that part. The restaurant itself has a nice atmosphere and a pretty cute date night spot. However, I feel like the washroom should totally be renovated. It's super tiny and one would feel so claustrophobic in there. Came to NOTL decided to have some greek food with tge family. At first we were told that they were pet friendly on the patio. So we jumped on that. Later to we were told that she would have to be tied up on the fence. So we deciced to do take out. After payiny 105.09$ for 4 people excluding any drinks the food we were not satisfied at all. The portions were tiny. Looked like a 1 1/2 scoops of rice and the greens and potatoes tasted frozen, in which, they claim to have fresh produce to which I beg the differ. Coming from a family who owns restaurants in the United States this food gets a 2 star rating. Unless you are going for a drink or 2 or if you like high prices and hardly a full meal then this place is for you. read more

Stopped in here for lunch during a visit to the area. We were drawn by the offer of Greek salad. We sat out on the patio which was nice enough and off the Main Street but we were placed in a corner staring at a wood wall. We started with garlic bread which was ok, but not out of this world and then followed with a Greek salad. It was tasty enough and the portion was generous but I can't say it was the best Greek salad I've ever had. The wait staff were ok although really eager to get rid of us it seemed. They tried to take our drinks away from us and clean our table even before we were given the bill. Don't think we will be coming back but at the same time, if you like Greek food it's not a terrible place. read more

The food was excellent. My wife and I shared a calamari and each had a souvlaki, chicken for her and pork for myself. Delicious! As I told our waiter, I am not usually a fan of Greek salad but they did an excellent job and I finished it, and found myself wanting another one. Excellent customer service, staff was very friendly. We go to NOTL quite often with our kids, and we like to dine out. I have walked by Fourno's many times, and never ventured in. We went this weekend and I half-wish we had just waited for a table at Bistro Six One instead. I am not a big fan of Greek Food, but outside it says "Greek & Canadian Cuisine". Honestly, it's about 80% Greek Cuisine on the Menu, so if you're not a fan, I would choose another place. Let's face it: NOTL is overpriced, and this place does not exclude themselves from high prices - thank goodness for a 29% US Exchange Rate! My kids had Kids Meals. One had Chicken Fingers, one had a Burger, and one had Spaghetti. My daughter's burgers came with fries, but we substituted a salad for her (at the price of $2.95) and I told the waitress that all she likes is the lettuce, and ranch dressing. I said "please just bring lettuce and dressing". The salad came, and they used the mixed greens with the purple lettuces, etc. I had to pick all (except the green) of it out. Perhaps I should have asked for green lettuce only, but they do have Caesar Salad on the menu, so I made the assumption I would have just received Romaine Lettuce - I won't make that assumption again. Otherwise, their Kids meals were were all pretty basic. The highlight of the meal was the Cheese & Olive Plate Appetizer (Hefty Price of $13.00 CDN). Not worth the price we paid, but the Feta was good. There could have been more olives, and the tomatoes were not ripe enough to have been served. My husband had the Souvlaki Lunch with Gyro. Again, hefty price tag of $15 CDN, and it didn't even come with Pita like it usually does at most places. I chose the "Paradise Salad" which is: "Spring mix with tomatoes, cucumbers, red onion, dried cranberries, pecans, strawberries, crumbled blue cheese and white balsamic dressing." It was a good sized salad, but the Pecans had a Cinnamon Coating on them, and it just didn't work. Candied Pecans are one thing, but this Cinnamon Flavor didn't go well with the rest of the flavors. Once again, large price tag for a Lunch Menu Salad (with NO meat) for $16.00 CDN. The atmosphere is dark and dank since it's under ground. The absolute worst part of the restaurant though are the Ladies Restrooms. If only I had brought my phone in and taken a photo. The Restroom itself is a decent size, but for whatever reason, they made the depth of the Toilet stalls so short - they have bi-fold doors on them, and I am ONLY 5'3", and my knees hit the door when I sat on the toilet. I had to open the bi-fold door partly or I would not have been able to get my pants back up since there was literally no space to move. It's really an odd decision on their part because those stalls could have easily been 5 or 6 inches deeper. There was plenty of space between the stalls and the sink. I can say with near certainty we won't be back. The food was just meh, the prices were too high. I don't mind paying the NOTL prices if the food is decent, I have a nice atmosphere and I can use the restroom comfortably. read more
