    My barely there martini
    Rachael B.

I've been here a handful of times and I have always had a delightful experience until the other day. Perhaps the waiter was off his game or maybe he's just not a very good waiter. I ordered a dry vodka martini straight up with a twist, the waiter has to come back and confirm my order thinking I wanted a dirty martini, I clarify that I want a twist, NOT dirty and he brings me a martini with a lemon twist and 3 olives?!?? I ask for it to be remade (I really do not like olives) and he brings me back a glass that looks like it was what someone left at the bar. When I mentioned the lack of beverage all I got in reply was "that's a 2 oz martini" I ordered a martini, not a 2 oz martini and when I've gotten a martini here previously it was a full glass. If you aren't going full the glass perhaps you should purchase smaller glasses.

Amazing food, great prices, and friendly atmosphere. Their pear, asparagus, and gorgonzola salad ($15) is amazing - fresh, generous portions, toasted walnuts, and pita bread is over the top! It's also meal sized so no need for an additional entree. The pizza was delicious! Their pizza ($13) is made fresh in the restaurant with a stone baked oven. You can see the crust and toppings being freshly prepared. TIP: Ask for dressing to the side. Their vinegar dressing on the salad will be too powerful and potent.

And here for a work function Christmas party. Place was packed when we arrived. Parking is available in big plaza parking lot. Coworkers and I were greeted nicely by the our server who was professional and polite. We had apps which were quite filling and delicious. Mains were okay. Some mains were a bit on the greasy side and some were not anything special. Prices are fair and below average for pasta and steak kinda dishes. They had a pre fix menu which was nice to chose from with a lot of options for your app, main and dessert. Atmosphere is classy and decor was tasteful.

I was driving down St Paul looking for a coffee to grab when I noticed the sign for Di's. I had a…read moredouble take and noticed it was a pizza shop. After a lot of subpar slices around the region, I was a bit hesitant but when I saw hand pulled soda, I had to drop in as I was curious. I dropped in and looked around. Cool looking spot and they offered a few different slice options. There was a what looked like vegan option which was sauce, garlic and I assume olive oil. I asked about their most popular slice and they said the pepperoni. Looking at the slice it, I definitely wanted to try it. It was cup and char style pepperoni. They asked if I wanted it reheated, I said yes and in no time I got my slice to try. I grabbed a seat by the window and looked up and down the empty street. I took a bite and yup, best slice I've had in the area in awhile. I will admit the slices are way more expensive than most places at $6 but it's a substantially larger slice and higher quality. Would come back to try some other slices or grab a whole pie. I didn't end up getting a hand pulled soda but will.

We were on our way home from a full day of travel and eating, and we figured what the heck let's…read moreget more food. Our initial choice was closed, so we figured we'd give Di's Pizza Pies a shot. The place was minutes from closing down for the day, but they did have a couple slices of Pepperoni ("Red Sauce, Mozzarella, Battistoni Cup and Char Pepperoni, Pecorino") left, so we ordered one each and waited as they were heated up. I was a little skeptical as the slice was handed to me, as it looked a little pathetic and super dry. My worries proved to be unfounded as it's a delicious slice of 'za. (Would it have been better fresh? Of course.) The plentiful pepperoni is the big star here, as it's flavorful and irresistibly crispy. The rest of the pie complements it quite well, and though I was expecting to only eat a few bites, I wound up scarfing the whole thing down in record time. If I'm ever in the area again, you know I'm going to stop by and order a whole pie.
