Attentive, helpful, good quality service. Both of our kitties were lovingly taken care of and were up and about quickly after being spayed.

I went to the Filipino Community of Watsonville this past weekend and I was reminiscing of the time…read moreI was a child playing with other Filipino children there. I didn't realize how significant Filipino history was in Watsonville until I learned about the Watsonville Riots in January 19 to 23, 1930 that represented racial violence and tension against Filipinos that ultimately California apologized to in 2011. You can learn a bit more about this in Wikipedia. Anyhow, according to the Facebook page for Filipino Community of Watsonville, they've been around since 1931, a year after the Watonsville Riots, so I'd be curious to know about the history of the organization, which I couldn't find online, unfortunately, and they do not have much of a digital presence. I can imagine that the Filipino Community of Watsonville served as a safe space and support for Filipinos. It's nice that you can rent out the hall for events and they have a kitchen and parking in the back. So I did attend an event on a weekend that used the facility. I think it could've easily been a house at some point with walls torn down to create a hall, but I don't really know. From what I read in their bulletin board, they have a number of community events and it's nice to know they are developing a youth program. They have a lot of people involved as board members, officers, and youth. I do not live in Watsonville currently, but I appreciate that this place existed in my youth and it was nice to say today.

Not a cold environment like an animal shelter, this kind lady takes lucky dogs into her home and makes them part of her family. Warm and inviting she has opened her home so when your best buddy needs to have care during the day while you are at work....or stay longer while you are away on a business trip you simply could not hope to find a kinder soul to look after your furry friend.

My specialty is adventure outings, where I take a small pack of well-behaved dogs out to a nature beach to run around and play. I pick them up from their home, supervise them having a great time, and towel dry them before bringing them back home. If your dog isn’t trained off-leash and you’d like for them to be, I can help! I use positive reinforcement and consistency to make progress. The first step is to build trust and a bond, and to show that coming out with me will bring great fun and rewards. When the time is right, I can slowly start to allow them to have more freedom, while training vital recall skills. If you feel your dog isn’t a candidate to go off-leash, I can also do leashed hikes, neighborhood walks, drop-ins and pet transportation to vet and grooming appointments. I have experience with newborn puppies all the way to geriatric and special-needs. Check out my website for more information, and feel free to text or email with questions or to set up a time to talk.
