Veggies and fruit are ultra fresh. They offer produce not only from the Bierwagen family orchard farm but also from other local farmers. They also sell local honey, pies, jams and jellies; and pet food made from fresh raw meat including bits. The building is a real building with walls and ceiling. I don't remember if they had central AC, but the ultra hot summer Saturday that I dropped in ... the temp was way cooler in the building than outside, quite comfortable actually. And I'm a wimp in the heat. They share a paved parking lot with the Happy Kitchen restaurant, which is also a venture of the Bierwagen farm family. Oh my, their pies are heavenly. Things to note: the farm market is open seasonally. Currently they are open 11-4 pm Monday- Saturday. But for sure, for the full 411... I advise checking out their Facebook site. The doors were halfway closed impeding people from leaving and coming into the store. I also don't mind bagging my own groceries, but the guy who rang us up did only that, leaving our things on the conveyor belt as he just walked away. Who are you hiring? We've shopped at SPD for 32 years and we have always preferred it to anywhere else in town, but this nonsense is getting old. Do better.

It is thoroughly embraced by the locals and enjoyed by all. Event has music, food, and many interesting things to buy from the local area. This is much more than just a farmers market and is a fun place to just hang out and people watch for a couple of hours. I look forward to going again next time I'm in the area.

Some people love it and others do not care for the taste. There is a coop in Grass Valley that sells it is smaller amounts and you should try it before you get yourself a quarter, half, or full steer. People who run the ranch are great. Beef is available only during a short time each year, around the spring. The beef is slaughtered at the U. of Reno and cut and packed there and returned to the ranch in Nev. County for sale.

Very poor experience this morning. I had my dog with me - ordered latte and a berry croissant…read more Overpriced ($16!), but wanted to support a local business. All was going fine, and we were happily bopping to the music while my pastry was being heated, but my pup yelped at a clearly non-dog person and the manager (?) came out screaming at me "THAT DOG CANNOT BE IN HERE!!" I am happy to avoid businesses with anti-dog policies if they are posted (was not). And, by law, a business has to ask you if it's a service animal before asking you to leave. Regardless, I would have been happy to leave with my already purchased product, but the woman kept screaming while I was waiting for them to hand me my pastry. I was so embarrassed and angry with her attitude, I spilled my coffee on the sidewalk outside as I was trying to get away from her. There are service-oriented ways to address this type of situation - yelling at your customers is not one. Especially followed by a snide "have the day you deserve" as I was leaving. I will never return and will discourage others. Ftr, went to Flour Garden and after hearing the story, they gave me a discount on my replacement latte. The pastry sucked, by the way - overdone on the outside, claggy on the inside and no flavor.

They had some assorted pasties and rolls along with some fresh sourdough bread rounds. They also have coffee. I decided to get something savory to go...linguisa wrapped in what looked like a croissant. It was so good...just enough for the ride! Its somewhat small inside but looked very clean! Next time I will get a coffee and maybe a cinnamon roll to go!

You can immediately tell that she isn't just a florist. She's a farmer with a deep love of plants. My husband and I have a backyard that's overflowing with flowers and vegetables, so we share that same joy when it comes to talking about plants. It felt like we were speaking the same language from the very beginning. For our floral vision, I wanted our ceremony to feel like our guests had stumbled into a whimsical wildflower paradise. I wanted it to feel abundant, natural, and full of interesting textures. Even though I didn't always have the florist vocabulary to describe exactly what I was thinking, Deena immediately understood the vision and created something even more beautiful than I could have imagined. I also asked her to create a floral lapel for my husband after stumbling across one on Pinterest. She told me she hadn't made one before, but instead of hesitating, she got genuinely excited about the challenge. The final piece was absolutely stunning. It was wild, textural, abundant, and unlike anything I'd ever seen. Working with Deena was such a joy because she brought that same excitement and enthusiasm to every interaction. You could tell how much she cared, and her work speaks for itself. One of our guests messaged me after the wedding, "11/10 flowers. No notes." Honestly, I couldn't say it any better myself. We bought buckets of blue and white flowers with various green fillers. The drive to the farm was picturesque and part of memorable experience. Deena had everything waiting for us when we arrived. The flowers were so fresh. Not one of the centerpieces we created wilted in a four-day wedding trip. The centerpieces were the highlight of the wedding and we'll never forget the experience. I even recently purchased seeds for two of our favorite flower varieties. Hoping to grow them in the yard. Thank you, Deena, for your help and service!
