They put some kind of delicious spice blend on the burger that made it so so delish! and the sandwich was super generous with a side of au-jus. It's not fancy but it hit the spot for a quick road trip spot. We didn't browse too much around the store but there were tons of people shopping and buying their award winning pies. Arriving a bit after 1pm on a weekday the restaurant was jammed packed. I waited on a line out the door. There's not enough room at the order counter area to handle any overflow. I had checked out having lunch here once before. It was impossible and I just left. There's a vast array of burgers available and then a few other items too. I had read that locals like the Tri-tip sandwich with horseradish sauce so we tried one of those, plus a 'Tasty Burger' with cheese (extra cost). We also got a side of sweet potato fries and small drinks. The large drinks are super humongous. For a long time I've heard remarks from folks about the amazing quality of the food at Ikeda's. So I was totally buzzed to finally have the opportunity to try it out. It took around 20+ minutes from the time I placed the order until my number was called to pick up at an adjacent counter. It seemed like a tedious long wait but not exactly is it a fast food place either. There's covered and protected outdoor seating plus some indoors too, which is air-conditioned. It was a hot day so fortunately we snagged a two seat table inside, but you have to be ruthless and on top of scouting to get somewhere to sit. I'm a person who doesn't enjoy or appreciate needing to struggle to have a meal. I'd much rather go to Awful Annie's nearby and get seated and waited on... but that's just me and my preference. We got our fountain drink plus napkins and ketchup from a dispenser, taking turns not to loose the table to folks stalking for an open seat. I had a sweetened green tea which wasn't bad. We each tried each other's meal. The hamburger was indeed absolutely delicious. I wouldn't say the best ever, but very high quality and tasty. It fell apart with the Tri-tip sandwich which was TERRIBLE. The meat was extremely grizzley, chewy and greasy. It was plain gross. The tomatoes on it didn't help one bit, and frankly whatever horseradish sauce was on it was tasteless...no punch at all. The toasted bread was limp and I, unfortunately, really couldn't appreciate any of it. It was very disappointing and left a lump in my stomach. The fries were just OK and they do give a large portion for the cost, $5.99. If you come here I suggest sticking with a burger, which apparently is their signature meal choice. The other thing I really disliked was the chaotic atmosphere of the place. It's crowded, noisy and just unpleasant. Plus the flies! I literally wanted to woof down my meal and leave. We did check out the adjacent store and they do have some amazing product. I'm sure the quality is good, but prices are high. Ikeda's is a long standing family owned business and I hate being too negative, but it is what it is. I doubt I'll return.

We bought buckets of blue and white flowers with various green fillers. The drive to the farm was picturesque and part of memorable experience. Deena had everything waiting for us when we arrived. The flowers were so fresh. Not one of the centerpieces we created wilted in a four-day wedding trip. The centerpieces were the highlight of the wedding and we'll never forget the experience. As the months went on, I got nervous because the weather was cooler than normal, and the flowers were growing slowly. So I added 400 stems of bulk flowers to my order for insurance. Deena was awesome. She was super willing with great information. I LOVE her event software that tracts your proposal, order, payments, etc. We were always in the know. As the wedding got closer, she kept in close contact, making sure we were all on the same page. We had the bulk flowers delivered the day before so that we could prepare the table arrangements. We picked up the other arrangements the day of the wedding to make sure they were super fresh. In the meantime, my flowers kicked in and were amazing. It was a wildflower-themed wedding. We kept our flowers in pots, and didn't have to worry about them wilting, etc., while we kept Sweet Roots Farm flowers cool to bring out at the last minute. The flowers stole the show. It was a huge success. The house was not landscaped. There was a lot of brown.....until all of the flowers showed up. It was beautiful! Our favorite thing is to thaw the juice only slightly and eat it with a spoon. It is like the best sweet, tart and vividly flavored Icee in the world. Blue Goose Produce is open the whole calendar year. It's located on Taylor Rd in downtown Loomis,…read moreso it's one of the most convenient locations to sample and buy seasonal Mandarin Oranges. As of 11/19/25, which is early season, you can buy a 4 lb bag for $10. While I was there, one farmer was sorting the oranges out by size. Apparently, the medium ones are the most popular. You could buy small ones for $1.50 per pound. Mandarins were attractive and juicy. Update: It's the sweetest and easiest to peel of the three different bags I bought on 11/19/25. Blue Goose Produce is associated with Westview Growers. If I remember correctly, there are 1500 mandarin orange trees in their orchards, so you can buy mandarins there until April! Farmers are friendly and informative to chat with. In October 2025, I believe I spoke with the owner Mark about the Blue Goose decor. One antiquities specialist soon found him a large metallic goose after he requested it. He painted it dark blue himself. This goose gets outfit changes to match the holiday! His family has been collecting blue goose decor over many years, which you can find throughout the store. I learned that a female goose can just be called a goose. A male goose is a gander, and Gander Taphouse is in the same plaza. Yesterday I learned that mandarin oranges taste better a day or longer after they have been picked. It takes time for them to sweeten. You can find a variety of local farm goods here, such as honey, scented candles, Earth & Vine products, local Newcastle Mandarin Ranch products, and Petaluma Creamery cheeses. You can buy pies here. I might call ahead to ask about available flavors. You can find limited produce here. I've bought a large tomato, finger grapes, and a ruby grapefruit here. Pros: -For our ceremony in the redwoods we didn't need any flowers to make the place beautiful, but we did ask for a chuppah (for the groom's Jewish culture) adorned with batik cloth and jasmine flowers (for the bride's Indonesian culture). The chuppah was made out of beautiful wood, and even though the specific species of Jasmine flowers used in Indonesian weddings was not available, Molly came through with a local flower that looked almost the same. -We both love succulents and wanted to have them be the floral look of our wedding and reception. The bouquets, corsages, and bride's hairpiece were creatively made out of succulents and all looked gorgeous -For the reception, we wanted the tables to have potted succulent arrangements as centerpieces. Molly delivered, big time! Each succulent display was different and beautiful in its own way. -The mother of the groom was very involved in the preparation of the centerpieces, acquiring and hand-painting seventeen pots for the arrangements. She and Molly worked VERY well together in making this happen. -Great value compared to some of the other florists we considered Cons: -None All in all we were very satisfied with Molly and recommend her highly! Review from my mother in law : Working with Molly was a total joy. I live across the country from her, and we communicated by phone, text or email in regards to the flowers for my son and daughter-in-law's wedding. She ended up custom-growing plants for specific containers that I mailed to her. Those centerpieces, in addition to the bridal bouquets and a custom-designed outdoor chuppah ended up making a lasting visual statement! She is a superb listener and a beautiful artist. As an artist myself, I can totally endorse Molly to get the job done in a memorable way!

I saw the word "Plums" on the sign and felt that I'd like to treat myself, so at the next corner, I turned around. I have significant dietary considerations, and plums fit right into my plan, for a few reasons. So I stopped and bought a bag of plums... $6. I tried to tip a buck (I only had $7 cash on me so "here... for the tip jar"). Nope! "Thank you, but put it in your tank". The two young ladies that helped me were delightful, and told me about their property and how it's been in the family since it was built in 1911. I love history! Such a beautiful property. But the plums!!! Oh man... so amazing, sweet and perfectly ripe. I was so lucky to just happen-by this gem on the last day of their plum-sales season. I can't wait to see what their next harvest is. I was inspired and created this for them (for you!) and expect to "happen-by" again fairly soon. THANK YOU for my most delicious and most healthy snack today!
