We had run over a screw on my wife's 3 week old SUV. Called AAA and they had someone from Fox Cities Towing over within 20 minutes. We expected to just have the tire changed out, but the service man removed the screw from the tire and plugged it right there. Saved us a trip and expense to have the tire repaired at s later time. Dead battery; they showed up and replaced it in short time. Dead again within a week; they showed up again in short time and told me that their first guy put in the wrong battery; they replaced it with the correct battery. Battery quickly went dead; they told me I had to take it to dealer so the car's computer could be reprogrammed - something they should have the first two times. So I took it to Bergstrom and had it programmed. 10 months later, battery dead AGAIN (4th time!!!). Went straight to the dealer this time; they kept the car several days to be extensively checked; car was OK (charging function and no parasitic current drains). Simply, the battery they put in was no good so it was replaced by the dealer. I then asked Fox City Towing to honor NAPA's battery warranty. I was told: 1. Warranty no longer applies to the second battery they put in even though it had to be put in because they screwed up on the first battery 2. Warranty no longer applies because the dealer now replaced it and not Fox Cities Towing - insane after I was stranded 4 times because of their ineptitude and then a bad battery whose warranty they will not help me with. I am in my late '60's and have had plenty of bad cars and batteries in my life. This battery problem takes the prize for the number of times I was stranded by their service. The final straw and thus this review - I rarely waste time complaining - was the gall to tell me that I should have come straight to them rather then the dealer. Just like a kid who can't learn not to touch a hot stove after being burned 3 times. AAA is willing to help me now with the battery warranty claim which, I learned, is how these things are handled. Just don't blame your customer when they've done nothing wrong especially when your ineptitude caused me a lot of grief. read more

I call AAA because my van broke down and this is the company that they sent my business to. The dispatcher called and told me it would be about a 45 minute wait. I called back an hour later and the dispatcher told me that the tow truck was in route and would be about 30 minutes. I called back about 45-50 minutes after that and she answered the call but put me on hold and wouldn't get back to me so I hung up. I called AAA and she contacted them and told me they would call me right away. 10 minutes later I called AAA back and canceled the towing service. Fox Cities Towing does one thing good. My car's front driver side coil springs snapped and was parked at a local Wal-Mart in Green Bay. I called my insurance and they matched me with this towing company. They did respond by calling quite fast like in less then 10min to reconfirm the tow and where I was and if I was going to wait for them at my car. I had asked how long am I looking and the lady on the phone stated "About 45min to an hour". I was hungry so I decided to grab a bite nearby and informed her I would wait since it was just an hour. I received a text from them saying "ETA 50min to 80min". I guess another 30min after the time she quoted was alright. I keep getting reminders from my insurance via text asking if they arrived. After 2 hours I contact them and a gentleman by the name of Matt informed me that his driver is on another tow and will get to me right afterwards and gave me a time-frame of 30min to 45min. I wait another hour and 15min. I called and inform the guy who picked up and asked if they are not on the way, I am going home cause my son is with me and he needs to get home to do homework and sleep for school tomorrow. I also have an "electronic start" car and the brakes will lock if the key is not present and I am going home if they are not on the way. The guy tells me that the driver who is suppose to come to me is still not back from his original tow and it can take up to another hour or so before they get to me. I just told him to cancel the request and called my insurance company to get a tow the next day. 3 hours = fail I just told my insurance to get another provider for tomorrow and leaving the car parked at that lot for the night. Epic Fail. Edit: I forgot to add the reason why I requested another provider not cause they failed but my insurance company had me on hold for a while and I'm thinking they called the towing company and was told they cannot get out to my car till 9am and I am going to be in the area at about 7:30am. Receptionist was snippy, unhelpful, entitled and rude. All I asked for was an estimate of when I could expect service as my children were waiting to be picked up. She never provided an answer. She was also rude and unhelpful with the representative of my insurance company when they were trying to set up service. Ultimately, they never showed and I changed my tire myself, after waiting two hours. If you're in a pinch, I'd suggest calling someone else. read more

Traveled to High Cliff State Park from Illinois this week to camp. Pulled into the park and heard "ping, ping, ping" looked at dash and it said service charging system! Now what! Got the camper backed in, set up and looked under the hood a few hours later and didn't see the drive belt. Called AAA the next morning and they had Fox City's Towing on Tower View Drive in Greenville call me to confirm info and pick up my vehicle. They would have towed me anywhere nearby for repairs but not knowing the area I asked if they did repairs and they said yes. I told them to just take it and fix it. Knowing we needed the vehicle sooner than later they fit us in their schedule and we got the vehicle back late that afternoon. I can't say enough how kind the tow truck driver was, answering all our questions and how honest they were with the repairs. We could have easily been taken advantage of, being from out of town and stuck between a rock and a hard place, knowing we needed our tow vehicle fixed ASAP. We would recommend Fox City's Towing for sure! (As a side note, after they took the vehicle I looked them up and was pleased to see that they got 5 star reviews online. This firm hit the news recently with a AAA national award. The owner went above-and-beyond in aiding a domestic abuse victim who had car trouble. The story reported that he got her a new battery, gas, and helped give her grocery money. The woman eventually paid him back. I'm not surprised. A week ago I had a similar experience. Mine was lots less dramatic: I curbed a snow tire, and destroyed it. All at the close of business on a Friday. Nick, the owner, got me where I needed to go safely. He got my car towed to my tire shop which had Saturday hours. It's one of those feel-good stories that makes this 68-yr-old retired widow happy to live in an area where people care. (But don't think I wasn't on the phone with the tire shop at their 7:30 am Saturday start with "did my car get there?" Not to worry. Fox City's Towing & Nick had everything set). read more

Excellent service and response time. Car wouldn't start. Attendant knew immediate problem. I was terrifically relieved. Attendant said to put on brake put car in neutral and back in park and car started right away. Also to straighten out tires when parking and car started right away. Attendant even changed out my wiper blades free of charge. Checked out battery cable connections,battery quality, starter and alternator readings. I've never received better service.
