I love that they have pooches running around in here, makes it not so rough having to pay for car repairs when you have cute doggos running around to lighten your mood. As a female I hate going to these places as I know nothing about cars and am afraid of being over charged. I recently had my breaks changed and after a couple weeks I had a weird thumping noise come from the front left side of my car- obviously had no idea what it was. I was recommend to go here. I was just a walk in, to see if they could just listen to it to tell me what it was and then make an appointment. The front desk gentleman knew exactly what it was when I told him, he took a look, pulled it in the garage and another gentleman fixed it up really fast and I was on my way. No more weird noise and it took less than 10 min, and didn't make me come back for an appointment. 12/10 service. read more

I can not say enough great things about this family run business. My car broke down 2+ hours from my house. They were able to tow my car and get it in and repair it within a couple hours. My '04 Honda Accord broke down a few miles away so I had Zentner's come tow it to their place after a recommendation from my past employer. They replaced the starter at a great cost with minimal labor charges which was right in line with what I was expecting and heard from friends who know their way around cars. The starter installed ended up being a dud and broke later that week so I had Zentner's tow me back to their place and they replaced it at no cost because it was a defective starter! I was very impressed because I know very little about vehicles and they could have easily thrown on some charges that I couldn't contest due to my lack of car knowledge but they were honest and upfront and made the situation 100%! The new starter is working like a champ and they have earned a customer for life. I can highly recommend Zentner's in the Appleton area! read more

They where amazing. I blew out my tire during a really nasty day a couple weeks ago. They came to get my car and fix the tire the guy that picked me us was extremely friendly and they didn't screw me around with prices like other places try to or give me fake problems with my car. When I first moved to Appleton I got an oil change at a chain shop, and was given a list of things that were "wrong" with my car. Even though I had just had it in a shop in my hometown two weeks prior. 10 miles later my car started making a weird noise, and I had the good fortune of complaining to a new friend about it. She recommended Zentner's. I called and spoke to the staff there they told me to bring it in on Monday and they would have a look at it for me. Told me none of the problems at the other shop at mentioned were very valid,just general "scare tactics". But did tell me I did have an air compressor in it's final months. Gave me a fair estimate for what it would be to replace it and also said if I was planning on trading in my car anytime soon, now would be the good time to do it. Took his advice bought a beautiful 2014 Honda CRV a few months later, And I won't trust it to anyone else in the Appleton area. I feel really lucky to have found this shop. read more

I used to trust Zentner until lately. I went last fall when my brakes were squealing. Dave put it on the hoist looked at them without taking the tires off and told me it was rust. Didn't seem right to me but I know my vehicle. Drove it a few more weeks took it back and told him I needed a tire rotation and the brakes were still squealing so they'd have to take the tires off. They put it on the hoist and of course the brakes were bad on the front and the rotors needed turning but the back were ok. 2 weeks down the road back ones needed replacing and the rotors needed turning on the back also. The break pads were so cheap the rims were filthy. I took my SUV in to have my tires rotated at Pomp's where I bought the tires. The technician told me the pads were cheap and showed the reason why they squealed. It was because whoever put my break pads on instead of putting break caliper grease on the calipers they put Aluminum Anti Seize Lubricant. They could put new brake pads on but they won't adhere to the rotors because of putting Aluminum Anti Seize Lubricant on the calipers. So now I have to spend a large amount of money so things are done right. I'll never go there again. While getting an oil change, the local Ford dealership gave me a laundry list of problems with my car (breaks, rotors, cv boot...) I went to Zentners for a second opinion and they found nothing wrong with my car. Dave even recommended that I wait 15,000 more miles to get my breaks done. I was ready to spend hundred and Dave sent me away paying nothing. Well, 15,000 miles are up and I just had Zentners do the work at a very reasonable price. Thanks guys.
