Four years ago a nice young man knocked on my door and told me all the benefits of Fox and offered me a special "deal". I have to say that I put up with them way too long s they have been terrible and I have them on speed dial as I have had to call them so much with all sorts of problems and pests they have not taken care of. I write this review with a very heavy heart as I am so upset and disappointed in the handling and outcome of my experience with the Administration of Fox Pest Control. First let me say the Technicians were very polite and tried to be helpful and do a good job. Second let me say that from the start of my (what was suppose to be a 1 year contract) there was double talk on Ticks!! The most important reasons for joining them was to have the yard sprayed for ticks and to keep mice out of the lawn tractor shed. I was definitely told we were covered for tick spray. The original spraying was at the same time that I signed the agreement that included both. The following month when they arrived I inquired about tick spray and was told "no that it extra" which every time they came, I asked again and was told the same answer. The original contract was absolutely stated that they would NOT automatically sign me up at the end of the contract. They have continued to charge me even though I have called and called to straighten it out. The last call was totally unacceptable as the person on the other end absolutely refused to listen to me! She just talked and talked over me. Consequently I have paid one month over my year contract and even though I have tried desperately to stop it, NO HELP AT All. I was told since I gave the Technician a 5 Star rating I must like Fox. (The technician took the time to try and explain that the yard had been sprayed for ticks. Complete double talk for the Company. the Supervisor was informed, her comment was that we were covered for ticks. I asked if I would be compensated for the lack of not being sprayed for ticks and a resounding NO! Then I was informed "oh yes, we have been spraying for ticks all year!" Not! The gentleman that signed us up was very convincing to sign on the line. We are old and on a fixed income and the worst news of all is that I am very down and out with LYME! and the tractor wires were eaten by mice and cost hundreds of dollars to fix! I am at a loss as to what to do, if nothing else I hope it gets their attention and do not do this to some other unsuspecting older couples. All I want is to be rid of FOX forever! read more

August 2020 Door to door salesman ignored a large no soliciting sign above doorbell pressed and continued to knock on door. Don't know about quality of service but that right there ensured will never call if needed Response from the owner 10 months ago Hi DP, we are sorry for any inconvenience we caused by approaching your home. We also apologize for our team member either not seeing or disregarding your No Soliciting sign. We will remind our teams to watch for and respect these signs. The unwanted solicitations and high pressure sales appear to be really common in reviews followed by a response from Fox saying "Sorry etc" we will review this with our sales people. Even creepier is when start looking at your windows to see if curtains moving. I saw the woman walk up. Reach for bell, see sign, turn, then proceed to knock instead. It's abnoxious. Prob cut down on negative reviews if you stop this from happening Update 6/8/21 Ignored sign again. If was not on a work call would of answered to see where the disconnect is and get the woman's name Update 6/14/21 Get the stock response of please call to discuss. Why would I want to call? Solution is simple. Look at and around door, see sign(s), walk away. Also county requires a peddlers permit. $200 fine per person min. Must be on person and able to be presented on demand. read more

First time appointment, wasp n other bugs/insects. The gentleman that showed up was really nice, patient, courteous, & professional. I actually found them online, I wasn't solicited. Time will tell, if the stuff sprayed kills off these horrible insects. They took over our home. I look forward to the day where we can sit on our porch and not be tortured. (Giant carpenter bees, wasps, Beatles, flies, ants, n more). I was told sprayed stuff was pet friendly, just need to let dry before any pet contact. I'm gonna have faith that Jim will help us get our home back. I can't remember the last day I didn't have a swatter in my hand or a shoe killing one thing or another. PS Jim wore not one, but double mask. He did right by us all around. (And he had a nice sense of humor) my husband and I are more than satisfied so far. I'll keep a lookout on the billing. Salesperson cold canvased me for $248.40/yr for 5 external applications (not including termites). The reality is that was simply the first application and I was expected to pay ~$153 per external application for 4 more external applications. So $650 for 'maybe' was deceptive -- I don't have a pest issue...a few carpenter ants from time to time. Considering what is covered a can of Raid & wasp spray will solve the issue. I urge caution in dealing with this company, Northeast, Meerkat & others are more transparent in their fees/billing. I paid a $150 cancel fee to save $306 more in fees for a total of ~30min of external spray work -- they didn't even do my basement on first application.. Read the fine print, refuse online contracts & avoid blind canvassers. read more

I am a current contract holder and I have been trying to contact them for several days now. I have a huge wasp nest in my attic and I am highly allergic. I need a technician asap. No matter what number you call no one answers. On hold for 30 min and then disconnected. I have called, emailed and messaged them. I received a message on their facebook messenger saying someone would get back to me within 24hr. That was 3 days ago. I have left messages and I still have no response. I even went to their Albany address in hopes of being able to speak to someone. This is simply a warehouse type steel door with no real office to speak of. I am not getting the service outlined in my contract and I think this whole operation might be a scam. My next step is to contact the attorney general's office because I think this may be a fraudulent company. No legitimate business operates this way. Stay away! read more

I contracted with Fox recently. They've been here twice and just came back for a follow up. They've been professional, friendly and accommodating. I asked them back after a few weeks because I started to see more pests coming in from the outside. They didn't hesitate and we're here rather quickly. I would recommend them. read more

I hate solicitors knocking on doors, as other reviews have stated. Now I'm sure the General Manager of Fox will reply to this, stating that they are sorry and they will train their staff, etc. But that is the same answer they have given to other reviewers with the same issue and yet they keep sending pushy sales staff door to door. Avoid Fox Pest Control. I contracted for a year long program in July of 2021. The contract cost close to $70 per month, which was taken promptly every month from my bank account. Unfortunately, Fox repeatedly scheduled service and then never arrived. I would reschedule the service, and they would not show again. When I did get a statement that they provided service, the statement clearly showed that they did not even spray for all of the insects that I had contracted service. We continued to have the same amount of insects and mice inside our home as before we contracted with Fox. This service was a TOTAL WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY. Save yourself the cost and aggravation and avoid Fox!!! read more

If I could give them zero stars I would. Their "salesman" came to my house at dinner time and told my 6 year old child who was outside with his brothers to go get his parents. I told him we were not interested at least three times. I then shut the door. About two seconds later said "salesman" knocked on my door again and stated "I think there has been a disruption in our communication". He was persistent, made me uncomfortable as my children were still outside and would not leave even after I told him to get off of my property. It wasn't until I called my husband over that he left. This man was on a hover board going door to door throughout the neighborhood-even going back to houses that were not home the first try. He was in our neighborhood for about two hours and finally left in a car that was parked around the corner with out of state plates. I would never do business with Fox after this type of solicitation. The salesperson made me feel uncomfortable and was beyond sketchy. No thanks. read more

We have been a customer of Fox for two years. We are so pleased with the service and call backs. In fact when they schedule an appointment they over communicate with a text, and phone call. But that is good, it reminds me when they are coming. Every technician has been kind and informative. They found eaves and corners in the siding to close up to prevent pests from nesting and always show up when called. Cant say enough good things about Fox. read more

Initial contacts were very good. A most pleasant and knowledgeable visitor came to my front door. Then the service that Josh and later Jarod provided was timely and much needed. Moreover, it is very affordable. Plan for organic ( and good smelling) treatment was at small difference from chemical. I will update this review depending on how things go. A lot was promised. I'll have to see if they live up to their word and that the service proves to be of value. read more
