A salesperson came to my door and sold me a contract for service. Before purchasing it, I opted not to buy it as I explained that we would be selling our home and moving out of state sometime in the next year. I was told that I would be allowed to cancel the contract when that was to occur. I was also told that after the first spray, to expect to see more bugs/spiders the first week but then after that, if I had a reoccurrence prior to the next scheduled spraying, they would re-spray without any additional charge. We are packing and painting and have purchased a new home out of state, so I canceled our contract. The next spray was scheduled for July. Well, the spiders have been out in force, but because I canceled the long term contract, they refuse to honor their word and respray without a charge. They stated they would not honor their word as I canceled the contract. I consider this to be poor customer service. Their first spray was only partially effective yet they will only return if I pay full price again. No thanks. read more

Our elderly great aunt and uncle were relentlessly harassed by sales reps from this company for months. To the point they were ready to contact law enforcement. Being on a fixed income, they politely declined to agree to a contract for monthly service, but the reps continued hassling them and went as far as trying to fear monger them into changing their minds by insisting this is the "worst year ever" for ants and spiders. They tried contacting the company directly to speak with management but the number listed is answered by an automated system that doesn't allow an option to leave voicemail. Companies like this need to be exposed for preying on the elderly! read more

The people answering the phones are always polite, but unfortunately the follow-through is terrible. I wasted my entire day waiting for a technician who was supposed to call me 30 minutes before arriving. By 2:30 PM, after hearing nothing, I called Fox Pest Control myself. I was assured someone would call me back and that they would "most likely" be there before 4:00 PM. No call. No show. This wasn't a minor inconvenience. I planned my day around this appointment and stayed home waiting, only to be completely ignored. To make matters worse, this isn't the first issue we've had with Fox Pest Control. When we initially signed up for service, the technician who came to our home was rude and unprofessional. If Fernley isn't an area your company wants to service reliably, then stop sending sales representatives out here to sign people up. It is incredibly frustrating to be promised service and then left waiting all day with no communication. The final straw was trying to reach someone after the missed appointment and being sent to voicemail, despite the company advertising 24-hour availability. Good customer service is more than having friendly people answer the phone. It's showing up when you say you will, communicating when plans change, and respecting your customers' time. I have two no soliciting signs One as you walk up to the house and one literally hanging on the ring door bell camera. You can't miss them... this guy feels it's appropriate to not only by pass them but also ring the door bell as well. I have asked this company to not return to my property and yet they can't and won't take no for an answer. They have gone as far as going to those who live around me and say we use their pest control service when in fact WE DO NOT. Us neighbor's communicate as to what pest control company we utilize we definitely do not use fox per control. In fact their reviews are awful. One person we know did sign up with fox and after Fox failed to show up they jumped back to our normal pest control company. These sales guys run around on motorized Segway and scooters and the guy on the Segway has damaged peoples garage doors from not stopping in time. Most of our area has signs that say no solutions however Fox seems to think it does not apply to them. I subsequently asked eight of my neighbors (including the one referenced), about using their service and they all said no. After telling the rep that I already have a service he asked if he could come in for a glass of water. What are we in the Depression and people go door to door asking for a glass of water? I immediately thought he wanted to case my house. I wasn't about to let him in. I should have directed him to the hose by the garage but I did give him a bottle of water. I sleep during the day my dog went nuts I answered the door and I asked him if he could read he said yes I read the signs, I told him he was breaking the law and he didn't care. The sales people who go door to door for this company are relentless. We've told them no on multiple occasions. We finally put up a sign DIRECTLY ABOVE OUR DOORBELL that states "Do not ring doorbell. No Soliciting." So imagine my surprise when my doorbell rings during my daughter's nap time and it's a Fox Pest Control salesman. As soon as I opened the door he admitted he saw the sign and ignored it because we might still require their services. A few weeks ago, a technician from this company came to my door offering services. While our initial conversation was polite, the technician used stereotypical tactics, mentioning fictitious neighbors who supposedly used Fox and claiming he could offer me a lower rate because he "hates landlords." I explained that I am a tenant and needed to discuss with my landlord before proceeding. Two days later, I contacted Fox through email, their online contact form, and left a voicemail to formally decline their services. I also immediately removed my payment information from the customer portal. Despite these efforts, my cancellation request was not acknowledged. Instead, I received a text from a technician claiming they couldn't see my payment details on their end. I reiterated that I wanted to cancel and had already removed my payment info. The technician said he would pass along my cancellation request. Later, I received an email stating that cancellations cannot be processed via email for security reasons-- which I found odd. I was so frustrated at that point that I did not respond further. On September 8th, I received a surprise text informing me a technician was scheduled to arrive the next day. I immediately called Fox and was put on hold for five minutes without speaking to a human. I left another voicemail, making this my sixth attempt to cancel, and provided all necessary identifying information, explicitly warning I would not pay or accept service if a technician arrived. A few hours later, I received a voicemail demanding a real-time conversation to cancel, which I ignored. As expected, I then received a message the next day saying a technician was on the way. I blocked their numerous numbers they contact you from and chose not to respond when they rang my doorbell, as I informed them I would do. Overall, I find this company to be unprofessional, persistent, and disrespectful of customers' wishes. Their approach feels aggressive and predatory, and I would not recommend them to anyone. Sales team has no respect or can't read. I have a clearly posted " NO SOLICITATION" sign at my front door, this young man rolls up on his hover board, looks at signs, rings door bell. There is also a sign above the door bell asking please don't ring as it spins up the dogs, which it did. He proceeds to try and sell their service. I politely say no thank you, he continues with how bad our house is invested, I explained we have a service, again no thank you. He continues with he knows the company and they don't do a good job, I finally asked if he could read, pointing to the signs, he just continued with his sell's pitch until I started shutting the door. I think next time it would be easier to welcome him with a Trespassing Warning and when he doesn't leave immediately or returns, place him under citizens arrest and call the Sheriff to issue a citation or book. I understand this company outsources the sales team, they need to rethink that strategy as it's doing more damage than good. I live in a rural area, and this guy just walked up my driveway and set my dogs to barking. They use psychological training and tactics to get people to lower their guard, asking lots of questions to find your interests to try and establish connection. This guy asked if I lived alone (WTF) and then showed interest in my work and could he see it? This is beyond creepy and it pisses me off that I got steamrolled by the slick sales person. I did NOT sign any contract nor secure any service from this company, and if anyone from this company comes back on my property (with no trespassing signs clearly posted), I will call the police/sheriff. And the whole roll of naming my neighbors and that they were using their services, and I'd get a discount, etc etc, and that I could cancel if I moved without paying the $300 cancellation fees....all a bunch of lies. Please stop sending salesmen to my door. When I don't answer the door they keep coming back until you do. When I do answer the door they get pushy and are looking for yearly contracts by using lies. They tell you that your neighbors have signed up and they will give you a deal if you sign up. I talked to all the neighbors and they told me that was just not true. They even send out these young men late at night to knock on doors, like 9pm or 9:30pm. That is very unprofessional and not safe for anyone. And it gets the dogs barking too. They pound on the door over and over and stay off the camera's. They ride Segways or electric scooters to get around the neighborhood faster and so they can keep coming back. They are hitting up all of South Reno right now and there must be many because everyone is talking about it on Social Media. Does the owner of this company care that they are getting so much bad publicity, I don't think so. If one person signs up maybe it is worth it. Definitely won't recommend. They send people to your door to solicit. They do it all day and even late at night. They were told today by someone in our neighborhood to leave. The guy banged on the door like he was the police the first time. They told him to leave and the guy came back later to harass them a second time and cause problems. The employee for this company kicked the home owner in the head in front of 3 children of one which was a 5 month old baby being held by the spouse of the victim standing next to victim who could have been hit as well, a 2 year old and an 11 year old and 3 other adults outside with them watching as it happened. The guy took off on his Segway and the police were called. The Fox Pest Control employee was cited by CCSO. 1 for assault and not sure the others were, but there were 2 other charges. He had no identification except a badge with his picture and name and no permit to even solicit from what we were told by the police! keep these people away from your home. They will harass you and your neighbors. Just call the police is what the officers told us if they come to your door. If the owner or manager of this company would like the video ill gladly share it privately. Showing after their employee assaulted the man he told him "you dont know who youre talking to" and made it clear hes telling people where the victim lives. The homeowner didn't even touch the employee of this pest control company to have him hit him. He just yelled and told him to get off his property and go away. When I say "no" I don't want this, it means no. I try and not be rude cause everyone gotta make $. No business card or even a flyer for future reference. You'd probably get business later if hard sell tactics weren't being used. Coming to my door multiple times is ridiculous, just leave a card or flyer and move on. I work from home and the repeated visits were annoying and got my dogs all worked up. If you are offering a good value and good service people will recommend. I will not recommend. This company utilizes extreme high pressure sales tactics to bamboozle their potential clients with false promises. They even lie about certain things to get people to sign up under pressure. There was one of their sales reps that told a customer that they are required to have pest control services, that their HOA requires it and if not would be fined. There is no HOA for this specific customer so that was a blatant lie from FOX. They force you to sign up then dont explain the large cancellation fee they charge if you want out of the contract due to bad service. They dangle the carrot of cheap initial service visit cost but they dont get any pests under control. I dont know how its possible when they dont show up when they say they do. They dont even install enough equipment to do normal service and monitoring. They just arent a reliable, effective and trustworthy company and I advise anyone looking for pest control service to get someone other than FOX. read more

I'm extremely disappointed with Randy and FOX. On sept 26 I did sign a contract with Jacob Janke. without my wifes consent, she was adamant about cancelling service. On sept 29 at 11:11pm my wife called Jacob to cancel, he promised that the service would be cancelled. About a month later we received a monthly $89 charge. My wife called FOX to explain we cancelled within 72 hours of signing contract. Randy's explanation was we should have called FOX, not the sales rep. He went over what he observed, performed the service, explained what he was doing and what follow-up services would occur, even found a hidden area where a wild animal (like a ground squirrel) had chewed through the wall of an outside structure allowing other animals and mice to enter. Apparently, in an effort to enter into the Douglas County, NV pest control market, Fox Pest Control has sent out young men on Segways, going door to door early in the morning and until after 9:00pm. These (this?) young man knocks incessantly on doors and rings doorbell repeatedly, all caught on cameras, reported on neighborhood watch apps, and reported to Douglas County Sheriff's Office. It has been happening for over a year, but recently has ramped up. Should a resident open the door, the young man's sales approach is extremely aggressive. He will not show a required door-to-door permit. He has no business ID, card or brochure. He does not take no for an answer. It is especially disconcerting to the elderly and single women to have the "visits" so late at night, even if they are not opening the door. The head office has been notified and yet the "salesman" continues to invade our neighborhoods. The young man is gone before the DCSO can get to him. read more
