We had a great family outing at Fox Point Farms! It's a wonderful place to bring kids. The farm is cute and well maintained, and the tractor barrel ride was enjoyed by kids. Admission to tractor ride included picking a vegetable and animal feeding/petting. The market is adorable, and we really appreciated that many of the ingredients used in the prepared food sold are organic and locally sourced. We ordered the pizza and salad, and both were fresh and delicious; our kids enjoyed them too. Parking onsite is limited, but we had no trouble finding nearby street parking and walking over. There were also plenty of clean bathrooms, which is always a plus when visiting with young children. Overall, a fun, relaxing experience for families. Great place to take guests. read more

Needs shade over the green space. The website said to not bring canopies or the tents but we saw a lot of people with those there. Food is decent. The buzzer doesn't work I guess. I saw my food sitting there among a lot of other food so it was a good thing I was standing by the area. They gave us the wrong sandwich but quickly and easily fixed it. It's nice there is a petting zoo, but they don't clean up the poop like other places. Overall it's a decent meet up space for a casual hang out but gets hot. Parking was easy on site. Yes! There was one vegan sweet treat in the case. A Summer Fields Cookie - Coconut and Sweet Corn. It was so flavorful. Lime zest was sprinkled over the cookie in addition to some coconut flakes and a glaze over part of the cookie. Definitely a re-buy. Tried a new-to-me Kombucha as well. There are so many items in the market, but it doesn't feel crowded. I was able to get the last bag of Steep & Sourdough English Muffin Sourdough Bagels. I just noticed that there is a little sticker on the bag - Best in Show from the 2026 San Diego County Fair. Now I'm extra-glad I picked them up! I wish the pizzas offered a vegan cheese. The tacos had one vegan taco, but as an fyi, their beans are vegan. There is a great open space for picnicking, playing, or watching soccer! Visited my friends in San Diego and headed out here. The place was such a big surprise. So many facilities and activities. There's an event center, produce, cafeteria, pizzeria, herb shop, brewing facility, and farm tour where different types of animals can be interact with kids. Came to check it out with my older kids and nieces, and they all enjoyed it even though we were only there for a short time. We didn't get a chance to do the farm tour since we were limited on time, so we just grabbed something to eat from the cafe inside the market, got some coffee, and hung out for a bit before heading out. Caramel Rosemary Latte 5/5: Surprisingly good. Savory Toast with Egg 5/5: From farm to fork, this was so good. Ham and Brie Sandwich 4/5: The kids got this. Went to Fox Point Farms for a free concert and definitely can't wait to come back! The outside grass area was a great place to hang with a drink and watch the kiddos run around and play. The place was VERY busy while I was there but the lines moved fast and they had multiple places you could buy food and drinks which helped. They also have a little market with all types of snacks, food, and drinks that are perfect to enjoy out on the lawn or patio. We were too late to see the farm or animals but we could view them in the distance which was a really cool and unique experience. I cant wait to come back for one of their many events they seem to hold. Quick tips: parking was a disaster, don't assume you will be parking in their lot if you go on a busy night or weekend. FOX POINT FARMS @ ENCINITAS Parking here is a bit unique, it's a free, open gravel lot with no marked spaces, so you kind of create your own spot. It can be a little tricky to maneuver, especially with a larger car like an SUV. I visited on a Sunday afternoon, and it was definitely busy. It filled up quickly, but I was still able to squeeze into a spot with a little patience. The whole space has a farm-style setup, with most things located outdoors. There's a brewery, a restaurant upstairs, and a small market all within the same area. I came specifically to check out the farm and the tractor ride. My boyfriend and I caught the 2:30 PM ride, and while it was a fun experience, it's definitely geared more toward kids. Adults can ride too, but since most of the group was children and families, it felt a little out of place. That said, it was still enjoyable we learned a bit about the farm and even got to interact with some of the animals like horses and chickens. The brewery wasn't quite what I expected. While there's a large building labeled as a brewery, it's not open to walk through or explore. Instead, it operates more like an outdoor stand, and you can also grab drinks from inside the market. I was a bit disappointed since I was hoping for a more immersive brewery experience, especially since my boyfriend is really into that scene. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to try the restaurant upstairs because it closes on Sundays from 1:30 PM to 4 PM, we arrived right in that window. read more

My friend and I stumbled upon Fox Point Farms as we were driving through side roads to avoid traffic on the 5. The space is absolutely beautiful. It wasn't too busy for a Sunday afternoon. We were able to find parking in their main lot. We walked around the property, did not go on the tour but I think it'll be something nice to try the next time I'm there. We ordered tea from the coffee bar as well as a brown sugar cookie. Whoa! They were delicious, especially the cookie! They had pizzas and tacos as well. We didn't order food but it smelled great! The staff was friendly. The store is small but there is a lot to choose from. I found many Strauss products which I really like. Great place to decompress. read more

That alone earns a nod. But let's talk about the fries, because someone back there knows what they're doing. Double fried. The kind of crisp that shatters just enough before giving way. iYKYK. The burger? A proper smash... almost. Good flavor, solid sear, but missing those lacy, crispy edges that make a smash burger sing. The bun leaned a little dry, nothing tragic, just enough to notice. Still, paired with a pale ale that knew its role and played it well, it got the job done. Then the sleeper hit walks in like it owns the place: chicken schnitzel Caesar. Another $25, another beer, this time a light lager that fit like a glove. Crisp chicken, bright dressing, balanced, satisfying. This is the dish you come back for. But food's only part of the story here. The space? It doesn't whisper, it announces itself. A roaring fireplace, towering vaulted ceilings, a chandelier that feels like it could tell stories if it wanted to. Live music weaving through it all. It's the kind of place that makes you sit a little longer, order one more round, and forget what day it is. Service was solid, no complaints, Water could've been colder. I recently came here for the sunset stroll self guided farm tour. Upon arrival, the parking lot was full, but we only had to circle around once before we found a space where someone was leaving. We waited for the previous tour to finish, and then we walked in. I ran into several employees along the way who were very friendly. You can tell that they love what they're doing as they are creating this new farmlet. They have micro greens, greens and lots of veggies that they sell in the self contained market and restaurant. They have several goats, chickens, bunnies, cows, pigs, and even a horse. They gave us leaves that we could feed some of the animals, which was fun. It was also fun watching the kids enjoy the experience. Hopefully, inspiring future farmers. They have event space, a market, a brewery, a taco stand and a restaurant. This is THE weirdest place I have ever been to. I am still trying to figure out what I just witnessed. Epic fail for our group. Everyone was confused. A line for pizza, line for drinks, line for tacos, had tickets for the band upstairs, could not really figure out why you needed tickets and it seemed understaffed all around. If they had some guest service person walking around it would be awesome. Farm was closed, I'm so confused!!!! What IS this place? Don't get me started on the parking lot or the Gymboree full of kids. If you really want to be annoyed come here. They should just start over and have a full service restaurant. So unorganized. We stopped by here with my homebrew club for a "Meet the Brewer" tour, and I was thoroughly impressed! As a homebrewer, I really geeked out on their setup. They had a pretty cool ontrol area that allows the brewer to direct flows from a single control panel. The brewery has an incredibly slick, efficient operational layout. You can tell the brewer really knows his stuff. had the Dark Lager, and it was excellent, definitely the highlight for me. I also sampled the Porter, which was solid. They actually roast their own coffee here too! I didn't sample it this time, but looking back, I really regret not grabbing a bag to take home. I grabbed a sandwich and a pastry at the store. While they were a little on the pricey side, the ingredients were clearly fresh and tasty. The staff was super friendly, and the seating is great (both indoor and outdoor). Check out the bar outside the brewhouse they have this awesome winch system that raises and lowers a cover over the taps. It's such a cool touch! Their steak sandwich and salad was delicious! And so were their large cookies and scones. Fox Point Farms is a super unique farm-style hangout that blends nature, activities, and a small brewery experience all in one spot. Pros: This place has such a fun and refreshing vibe very outdoorsy, peaceful, and almost like a little escape from the usual city spots. It feels like you're on a farm (because you are), which makes the whole experience really different and memorable. There's a brewery on-site with a good variety of beers, and I liked that some of them had Japanese-inspired flavors it made the selection feel more unique than your typical brewery. We also did the farm ride, which was $15 per adult, and honestly it was a really fun experience. It's definitely more geared toward kids (the little tractors are tiny haha), but it was still enjoyable getting to ride through the farm, learn about everything, and then interact with the animals. Being able to pet horses and chickens was such a cool touch and made it feel very wholesome. Parking is free, which is always a plus. It's more of a make-your-own-spot situation on a dusty lot, but it wasn't too bad overall we were still able to find a space without too much trouble. Cons: The parking setup can be a little tricky, especially if you have a bigger car like an SUV since you kind of have to squeeze into spaces. Also, the farm ride is definitely more kid-oriented, so just keep that in mind if you're expecting something more adult-focused. I also wish the brewery operated more like a full bar setting, but it was still nice to try the beers. Verdict: If you're looking for something different and a little more interactive, this is a really fun spot to check out. It's great for a casual day outdoors, especially if you want a mix of activities, animals, and drinks. My group had a good time (6 adults 3 kids). It's great for dates or families. Spots for kids to run around. Bring a blanket and sit on the grass. But they also have plenty of seating. Arrived on a Saturday around 1130. Parking was a bit limited and small for what it seems how busy the place can get. There's a lot of options to choose from for meals and wine, beer and coffee. We got the konichiwager which was really yummy, refreshing and light. I got turkey focaccia, it was okay, def pass on that and try something else. My friends got the steak sandwich and they felt it lacked flavor but they really enjoyed the pickle lol. We bought their eggs and the brown ones were the most flavorful The pizza was really delicious, it just takes a really long time to come out because they have only one person working the station, they def need 2 people. We also did the little train ride/farm animals. While it was a cute time and nice to hear about the farm, I think if you purchase a full meal it should be complimentary haha because it's really simple. it's 15pp inc kids even if they sit on your lap (less than 2 free) Restrooms were a little unkempt and I wish they had more or a few just handwashing stations. Service was okay and friendly enough. Not really warm or approachable. The shop has cute stuff to buy. THIS FIVE STARS IS PURELY FOR THE PIZZA!!!!! Did I just get sent to Italy or what?!?! I almost ate it too fast and forgot to take a picture! Like wow. It's really hard to impress me with pizza here in the states. I didn't know about this hidden gem at Fox point. Everyone in my family had the same feedback. Our favorite was the barbecue brisket pizza and obviously my kids loved the cheese pizza. The wait for the pizza can be a little longer when it's busy since it's hand made to order. I recommend ordering whenever you find a table and getting in the queue. If we're going to do a review on Fox point specifically, I would give it a four star. Although I love how family friendly it is, the parking here is horrendous. I enjoy a lot of the stuff from the market, but things are a tad bit expensive for what it is. This is such a perfect spot for a small wedding. We had our ceremony in the hatch gathering house and it was beautiful. Be warned though, it can get very hot and could be tricky in the summer. It's a glass house overall. It was perfect for a spring day and perfect for my guests to walk over right to the reception area at Haven to eat. I don't live nearby, so I hadn't had a chance to check it out--but I finally found myself in the area and stopped by for lunch with a group. It was pretty busy when we arrived, and parking was a bit of a challenge. I ended up finding street parking around the corner. The space itself is large and airy, with plenty of outdoor seating. It looks like there may be a second-floor area as well, possibly for dinner service or private events. Ordering is easy--you can either scan a QR code at your table or order at the counter. There's also a small market inside offering local goods, along with some fresh fruits and vegetables, which adds a nice touch. I ordered the protein salad with grass-fed steak and a slice of carrot cake. The salad was well-balanced--not overly salty and lightly dressed, which I appreciated. The steak was cooked perfectly and added great flavor. The carrot cake was a standout: moist, not too sweet, and really satisfying. The atmosphere felt very family-friendly, with lots of kids and groups enjoying the space. It's a great casual spot to hang out and relax. Very cute one of a kind, space. A housing farming village, people live in the housing community located on the farm and buy into the farming project. They get a box delivered to their home every 2 weeks and they along with the patrons keep the farm going. Love the family friendly vibe and how much they grow on this land, including having a micro bakery, brewery, apothecary, petting zoo, and more. We did the 30 minute walking farm tour, and stopped to purchase from their produce market and get some lunch. Their specialty coffee drinks are great and hubby loved the steak sandwich. I ordered the chicken pesto and was underwhelmed- the chicken was dry and there was not much seasoning or any sauce to give it flavor. I had to order some tacos afterwards. They also have a pop up pizza stand which smelled delicious where we were sitting. Definitely need to come back with the rest of the family. read more

We didn't leave any left overs. My French toast was sweet and perfectly moist. The whipped butter and berries with maple syrup were so delicious together. The tractor tour was really fun. U have to buy tickets. It runs every 30 min on the weekend. It includes a tour of the farm and the opportunity to feed the farm animals. It's a very short ride, but you get to see the crops, pick lettuce, and feed bonnie the cow, goats, 2 pigs, chickens and 2 alpacas. There's a brewery and a market that sells organic fruit and veggies and snacks. They also sell sandwiches, salad, pizza and tacos. The tacos might only be on the weekend. They have a Harvest Market where you can order coffee and baked goods, brewery, yoga classes, Haven Farm + Table restaurant, Huerta taco stand, pizza pop up, and of course a farm tour, tractor ride, feeding the animals!! We grabbed coffee while waiting for the farm tour and animal feeding. The ticket comes with both and are at scheduled times. You can ride the tractor or opt to walk. We decided to walk it since the area was small. They grew lettuce, artichoke, and flowers to name a few. Then we got to feed the cow and goats. The guinea pigs were adorable but were too busy eating off the feed from the ground. There were two llamas but they kept to themselves.
