We really enjoyed our stay Friday and Saturday night!! We booked this site last minute so that we could do some white water rafting research and float around in the river which was about 30 minutes from the site. After checking out the South Fork rapids we then went over to North Beach and floated around while we watched all the rafters go by. The hosts, Troy and Janna, were very accommodating and also very friendly. We booked site 5 online and when we got there we asked them if we picked a good site. They said yes, but that site 6 would be better for this weekend because we wouldn't have anyone directly next to us so they switched us to 6. All the sites are spacious with shade and pretty level. (I will add that they did lay some gravel at each site but the sites are all dirt for the most part so it does get dusty. We travel with Astro turf mats so we laid those down and it did a good job mitigating the dust.) Troy and Janna have owned the park for a couple of years now and have put so much work in to it to making it a nice RV Park where people will want to be returning guests. They have an awesome bar area where they serve cold beer and wine. On Friday nights they grill burgers and on Saturdays they make pizzas. So if you don't want to cook, they'll cook for you! They've built a stage in the hang out area and every Saturday night they have live music!! The band last night was great. We hung out at the bar for a few drinks. Met some other campsite guests who were all friendly to chat with, and then we went and sat in front of the stage and enjoyed the music. They've got some picnic tables in front of the stage but we just brought our own chairs. They've also got a pool table, bocci ball, darts and other fun games to enjoy. This was our first time visiting this campsite and we'll definitely be returning. Thanks Troy and Janna for making our first visit a fun and memorable one. Sites are a little tight, but this campground was such a fun experience! The owners are fantastic and very welcoming. Saturday night a band called Neon Pickle played and they were great! Everyone was singing and dancing to their music. A very nice indoor and outdoor bar area with a nice selection of beer! They had made to order pizza, and they were so tasty! Lots of great walking trails on site or within a few miles drive from here. I recommend Fox Sparrow RV Resort and look forward to returning soon! read more

Spent Presidents' Day weekend here. The owners are awesome. We arrived in the dark and Troy guided us to our site and helped us back the trailer in. Cheyenne greeted us when we registered with a Valentine goodie bag. It's a very woodsy environment but no trouble getting level in our space. All hookups worked perfectly. No wood fires here though. There are trails to walk around and it's very dog friendly. It's a mix of permanent and vacationers and we were greeted by roosters on our walk. All folk we encountered were very friendly. Public bathrooms were clean. Saturday night Troy and his band rocked the Foxy (bar on site) and Janna was very welcoming tending bar. We will be back in warmer weather for sure. read more

These nice people bought this campground, renamed it, and turned it into a great place to be! All within less than a year. I am so glad I stopped in to see it. We were looking for a good place nearby to suggest to friends for camping near Georgetown, and our home, this summer. They have 40 acres of campsites, including full hookups, and tent sites, and a nice big group site, that I know of. Maybe more?! They told me they are continuously improving the entire facility. They built a nice big stage out side and are planning live music and food trucks on some Saturdays this summer. They also have a small general store on site, and a cool pub called Foxy's. When we stopped in, they were serving personal pizzas to order. The pub had 4 beers on tap, including one from a small local microbrewery that we love. They also had a nice selection of wines. The pub has a pool table and a couple of large screen tv's. Oh, and the restroom was not only clean, it is not an outhouse, (Yay). Many campgrounds I looked at can't hold a candle to this place. We liked the pub so much, we returned on the weekend with a few friends. We all had a great time! I cannot believe we have such a cool place to hang out near our home. Our friends from out of town will definitely be camping there this summer. They named it after a beautiful bird, Fox Sparrow. I think it was darn clever to name their pub Foxy's. We will absolutely be back... again and again! read more

My wife and I would encourage you to book a site and enjoy the beauty of the area and the incredible kindness and service of this family owned business. Owners Troy and Janna were great and went out of their way to make us feel welcome and made sure that we enjoyed our stay. We went over to Foxy's Pub Which is on the party and had one of the best burgers and the next night pizza to die for!!! They are doing a great job revitalizing this beautiful campground with a whole lot of Sightseeing, history, and recreation around you.. The campground is quiet and peaceful.. Troy and Janna seem to try to manage and run their campground at the highest level. 10/10 read more

I came into the area looking for a place to stay for the duration of a 3 month job as a lineman. I had come across this campground formerly known as Camp Chiquita, right in the middle of the transition to the new owners of what is now known as Fox Sparrow RV. This campground, in just three months, has gone through a huge transformation and that is all thanks to the owners and staff of this family run campground. I have brought my family with me to many different RV parks and we are typically very choosy about where we decide to stay, and upon first glance on day one, this is not one of those parks we would normally choose to stay in. However, the owners were so nice and so supportive and helpful, that we wanted to give this a shot. They shared their vision of this park with us and I have personally watched the changes throughout my stay and they are still continuing to improve this campground every week. I believe in their ability and experience to continue to improve this campground in the future. This campground has a ton of shade, there is a nice park for kids to play at, and a lot of space to play and explore. I was hooked up to thirty amp and while you have to be a little selective on what appliances your run while running one AC, I never had an issue keeping the trailer cooled down in the summer months. There is a store in the office with cold drinks, ice, rv supplies, and basic food items and snacks. The laundry worked just fine for us there, and they have a really cool indoor/outdoor bar/pub they are working on fixing up with a pool table inside and just a neat place to hang out. The park is located in a nice spot, not too far from town and grocery stores and places to eat. I recommend Shandy's (soo good)! And it's also not far from multiple lakes and higher elevation hiking and off-roading trails. There's a few locals that have been in the park for a long time and they were super nice and welcoming to us. There's a lot of local wildlife in the area and if you get a chance to meet bananas, the park's official staff dog, he is super friendly and fun. I enjoyed my stay here and I would definitely go back if the opportunity arises.
