The price! $69 for 18holes! Fairways under repair and they've been the same ones for that last 10 years! Cart paths are worse than the city of Buffalo streets! Wow, where do i start. Probably the worst self called Golf Course in the area, talk about playing in a Cow Pasture! So many Greens had major issues, like # 10 has what looked like tire tracks burnt thru the entire Green. Or #2 with Tree Roots (Look @ Pic's) coming through the grass (How do you Putt with something like this) for God Sake close the green set up a temporary & fix it!!!!! Cart paths are brutal, my back actually hurt after the round & talking about carts!! CLEAN them !!!! You will never have to take a beautification drop on the course because there is NO beautification anywhere. And here is the BEST they hit you for $69 a round, that's right $69 Don't waste your money !!!!! read more

Course is very poorly maintained for paying almost $70. Came here to play 9 holes with my dad for Father's Day along with my mother and sister. Both my mother and sister were not playing just riding along for a family outing. had to pay full price for the both of them as if they were playing. (which is whatever I understand). But then tried to tell me they don't have any 9 hole rates at the moment? So was forced to pay full price 18 holes and only playing 9. How do you not have a 9 hole rate? I've played this course for years and it goes more down hill every year. I knew this going into it today but unfortunately planned this 4 days in advance and all other courses booked up. Came for a tournament . Lack of mgmt is a joke . Didn't even have golf carts available for the tournament . Tournament started late . When it became unsafe with thunder and lightening the was NO horn or announcement. Completely unsafe and unprofessional . Do not recommend to give your money to this course. read more

Place is a dump. 64 bucks to golf a course that is equivalent to deleware Park but longer with better scenery. Greens are all dying, fairways r trashed, divots all through the fairways not fixed and ball marks all over the green. Place looks as if they don't even have a grounds crew bu got the nerve to charge 64 bucks in the middle of spring. read more

If you are looking for a large wide open and long course that is away from the city and lets you play a relaxing game of golf, this is the course to try. They are still making improvements to the club house and parking areas so expect to see some construction happening. The course is well kept and soft. A 2-some can play 18 in 2.5 to 3 hours. The snack shack wasn't open this time but we teed off early so perhaps we were just too early. On rainy days plan on encountering some standing water. read more

Early season golf and wet fairways are expected. However charging full price when the greens are in, at best, very poor condition, is unacceptable. Putts will bounce ( inches off the ground) and wobble to the hole as absolutely no work has been done to them yet this year. But they have been taking money. At a minimum something should have been said of the poor green condition prior to accepting money. I dare to say we do play BTC a few times each year and they are consistent. There are some tee boxes still lacking markers, almost no ball washers and the cart path rivals many of Buffalo's pot hole damaged roads. Disappointing read more

If I could give this zero stars I would- So poorly managed so do yourself a favor and save your $40. It was a nice day- so clearly they should overbook everyone and let their tee times get backed up a half an hour. Then they send their groups out every 8 minutes so make sure there is always at least 8 carts waiting at every hole. They only have a 18 hole rate knowing full well that those they are sending out have zero chance of playing 18. It took 2 hours and 48 minutes to play 9 and we won't every return to this hole. Lots of good courses around that don't overbook to make a course unplayable. Shame on you- this should be theft. read more

I'm Tourn between writing a positive or negative review. On the one hand, I don't know much about golf courses, and this may be a normal thing. But on the other hand, I didn't like some of the attitude I got from other members and/or employees when I was here as a guest doing a round of golf a couple of years back. It's a nice course to walk around, secluded and out in the middle of nowhere, with plenty of space and usually not busy. The parking lot is a little iffy, and there are parts that look like they're being worked on, construction wise. All in all, it's a good golf course, but at $40 a round (or thereabouts), it better be! Still, it's far from the most expensive course in town. read more

I think 1 is the lowest you can rate on here otherwise I'd go lower. - charging a corkage fee across the board is the most insane thing I've ever seen a public golf course do. - no 9 hole rates. I booked a tee time for four of us today. My friends were playing a full 18, while I could only play 9 due to time constraints. When I told the cashier I was only playing 9 he said "oh we don't have 9 hole rates, so you have to pay for 18." I was also informed there was no possibility of getting a rain check or credit for the half of the course I didn't play. Again, I've never in my life been to a public course that doesn't offer 9 hole rates (specials/flat twilight rates notwithstanding). So I paid $45 for nine holes, a cart, and a corkage fee. Nonsense. - It's April and the course is in ok condition. However there are still several holes that have drainage dug up. Are they upgrading/changing out drainage? Who's to say, but there are piles of dirt, loose sewage piping and chopped up trees along some of the fairways. Real great look when you're charging $45 for 9 holes in April. - Tee times are eight minutes apart, leading to massive backups. On the first tee today we were behind one group, who was waiting for the group ahead of them to be clear of their drives. Looking at the 2nd hole, there was a group on the green, a group in the fairway and a group waiting on the tee box. The backup was unrelenting for the entire round. We waited on every tee box and had to wait on most 2nd/approach shots. Overall, this course has been going downhill for a while and decided to enter a massive nosedive for 2023. Suffice to say it will be a long time (if ever) before I book another tee time there. Plenty of better courses in the area to spend my money at. Avoid at all costs. read more

Zero stars if I could. This place couldn't care less about your experience there. They care about a quick buck more than anything. Had a tee time for 4. 2 people had flight canceled. There was no way to cancel within 24 hours. Two of us showed up. Told the guy the other two couldn't due to flight. Said don't worry about it and then charged me 100 bucks a week later claiming no show. To show how smart they are, they would rather keep the 100 and never have me and my golf buddies come back losing out on 1000's of future dollars. Honestly, can't even fathom that someone can still be in business like that. Now before I knew I was charged the 100 bucks, I actually had gone back. Big mistake. They had a giant water main break or something that flooded a large portion of hole 13 or 14. No warning just a little longer than normal grass. Cart almost got stuck since the water was so deep. Luckily I was in the cart solo or it would probably still be out there with dozens of golf balls just laying under the water from all the other golfers hitting perfect shots into a hidden lake. O yea, not to mention that my buddy on this day cancelled last minute so I golfed solo, yet this time I wasn't charged? Weird right? They said it happens automatically to no shows yet didn't happen there. So where was that automation. Also, they stack tee times so close together that there is no way you'll actually tee off on time. You'll be, if lucky, 10 to 20 minutes behind. I've heard of people waiting much, much longer. After looking at some of these other reviews, seems that I am not the only one. I'd recommend going elsewhere unless your life is on the line and you need to hit 18 to survive. Otherwise, I'd rather go putt-putt than go back here. For the same money, you can go to a place that cares about golf and the people that play and have a fantastic round. read more

I'd give this course negative stars if I could. I've played there more than a handful of times over the years and only kept going back because it's close to my house and you could play nine holes in the evening hours for relatively cheap around 20-30$. Yesterday was the last time I'll ever play there. I had a tee time around 6 and when I payed, I told them I was just wanted to play nine holes. They told me they didn't have a nine hole rate anymore and charged me $48 dollars. I voiced my displeasure, but it wasn't the kid who was workings fault, it's just his summer job. So we stop at the starter and he tells us to go to number 10. He also told us that there was a league off the front AND prior to that they had another league do a shotgun start. I could see the 10th tee box and there were 3 carts. I asked the starter how many groups that was and he said one, it's a group of 5 "they're here every week and play quickly..". To say the least no one played quickly and what course allows this? You think with all the other stupid rules this place has they wouldn't allow a group of 5 hacks to go off together. Anyways, After waiting every hole, we finally made it to 18 where the group of five in front of us were waiting for the group ahead of them. Next thing I know, there's nine (yes nine!!) guys on the tee box all getting ready to tee off (picture attached). We were told to play as many holes as we could, so we drove to a different hole and played until it was dark. We ended up playing a total of 12 holes. I don't know who is running this place, but they're doing an abysmal job. First the breathalyzer rule to start the season and now this BS. If there's leagues, that's fine, don't book public tee times during that time of the week. I understand they're probably trying to recoup money for that stupid restaurant they put in, but don't purposely charge me full price knowing the course is packed with leagues and only giving me time to barely play nine holes, while charging me for 18. Not to mention, you think you'd do all you could to continue to drum up business and have people go to the course and new restaurant, but instead management's policies are turning people away. And lastly, the course is a dog track. I'd rather go to any of the way nicer, better managed courses in the area that don't have ridiculous rules and rates. read more

Just watched the YouTube video "I Played the 3 Worst Rated Golf Courses in America" and saw this course as the first one the guy went to! Now, I live nearby and have played this course numerous times. I was shocked to see it on the video, but I get it! i had heard about the debacle of a $5 corkage fee idea (that brought them a ton of negative media from around the country), but little did I know until hearing a worker on the video, that the course no longer charges the corkage fee, but just added the $5 onto every round! I was wondering why the price shot up so much this year, and now I have my answer! Honestly it's not a horrible course (which the YouTube guy admitted), the greens are nice and quick, but it does need a lot of work! Cart paths are crushed stone and filled with potholes. It's hard to tell the difference between the fairways and rough. There is always standing water on the fairways. The carts you ride are filthy. Oh, and they have a real nice building for a halfway house that hasn't been open in over 10 yrs! (It's just used for storage.) A real course architect could come in and fix the course up, but the owners (it's a group of people) don't care! They just want their profits! This shortsighted thinking hurts the course and it's reputation! Fix it up, make it worth the price, and more people will come. Right now, this course is no way near worth the $46-54 they charge! read more

I went to the course this morning 7/10/2021 with my son and wife to ride along and watch them golf. I had shoulder surgery and I am unable to swing a club or golf. They said I couldn't ride along and watch without paying the full green's fees and the upcharge for a 2nd cart was another $10. I told them to charge me not to golf was ridiculous. I've golfed there several times in the past but Never again. I called Glen Oak CC and Arrowhead CC and they both said I could ride along and watch someone golf for just $10. I give them ZERO Stars for total disregard for customers and price gouging. read more

Recently, a friend of mine who has been playing at BTC for many years made an on-line reservation for a foursome. On the date reserved, the weather forecast was variable, and two players dropped out early in the morning and the two of us played. This resulted in my friend being stuck paying for the two extra tee times. He tried to appeal the decision but was denied any reduction in charges. I am aware of the cancellation policy, but in these circumstances I think an exception could be made in light of the fact that we have been long time - more than ten years - consumers at the club and have supported the course when playing conditions were less than ideal (Long grass, fairways and tee boxes in need of attention, missing tee markers, overcrowded tee sheet - especially on Bills game days that resulted in slow play, no club house or halfway house, carts that weren't wiped down in the morning, etc.) and we were still charged full price without complaint.. We also paid full price on days when we chose to walk instead of requesting a discount or waiver of the cart fee. On the day we played, the twosome behind us joined in and told us they had a similar situation but were not charged for the two missing players, so it appears your cancellation fee policy has exceptions. All I am asking is for some considerations for a long time, dedicated consumer who has arranged for many groups to play at BTC making it our "go to" Sunday course for several years. If this situation cannot be satisfactorily resolved, our group will no longer support your club with our business. read more

Course is not maintained at all, and then they have signs up basically "since you don't replace your divots we have to charge more now." Sadly it is nothing special and overpriced. So I played here for the first time today and it's was a blast. Beautiful course that offers many challenges. Due to the season just getting underway the course was pretty brown. Im excited to see it again in the summer in its full bloom. It's still spring so 18 holes cost $38, not sure what the rate is come summertime but I'm expecting a $7-10 increase. I'd definitely come back to play here again. And hopefully score much lower next time. read more

Just went golfing at Buffalo Tournament Club today (6/7/20). Has so much potential but the course is a mess! Tee boxes are not marked at all. Women have to find their tees. The cart paths are terrible; full of holes. It is more like farmland than a golf course. The sands are like gravel. Way too expensive for what this course is like. read more

This course isn't worth the money you spend. For $49 you're hitting off rock hard tee boxes that have been chewed up. The greens are in mediocre condition, hard and like a trampoline but roll fairly nice. The course needs to see some water, even the fairways were in dried out condition. We played on a Sunday and finished the round 30 minutes behind pace due to over booking. All together not worth the money, there are better courses in the area that are doing a better job with maintenance. read more

This course is a joke. The ranger/starter just drives back and fourth with some kid to the clubhouse area. 3:21 through 10 holes. Absolutely no control over the groups playing. There's a twosome in front of us and one behind us. 4 groups stacked at the turn. The fairways are not taken care of. Sand is concrete. At least you can't really lose balls because there's no rough. I'm writing this on hole 11 waiting for the tee. Will still have 10 minutes after I type this before we can hit. 6+ HOURS FOR 18 HOLES. ABSURD. read more

$46 feel like i just been robbed, course is an absolute mess, biggest cow pastor in the area. It has potential there are some cool holes but my back yard is in better shape. There are no fairways, tee boxes aren't cut. I understand the weather hasn't been great this year but I've golfed 20 rounds on the year this is by far the worst course. The new clubhouse is under construction and the pro shop (shack) and golf carts are in the parking lot but that's not the reason for the poor review. The golf carts were all dirty and dusty - unwashed with dried mud in the wheel wells and it hadn't rained in several days. The Tees were just as unkempt. We had mid morning tee times and found dozens of broken tees on every tee. The grounds keepers even mowed over the broken tees (at least they were freshly mowed). The fairways were mowed VERY short on the day we played. So short in fact that the grass everywhere looked like it was brown and dying. All we could figure was they mowed it super short so they wouldn't have to mow it as often. The pars of the cart paths that weren't asphalt were dirt and a little stone but they were FULL of potholes. It was so rough you couldn't drive on the cart paths or you'd break your teeth! The only good part were the greens which were large and in fairly good shape although they showed evidence of a lot of play. Overall, we won't come back at $40 a pop!! Save your money and go elsewhere! read more

My first time playing this course ... and my husband warned me about the conditions. It's a great setting and nice layout, but is not well maintained. The amenities are sorely lacking. You have to drive up to drop your clubs since carts are not allowed in the parking lot... but there is no cart rack. No hole markers at the tees, no ball washers. The "forward" tees are an afterthought. Even though we senior ladies have a nice advantage, the tees are nothing more than a mowed rectangle. There were just so many divots in some of the fariways when we played. The halfway house (snack shack) was not open. The clubhouse not open. The bathrooms in the clubhouse not even open. Upon completion of our round, one of the gals needed to use the restroom and since the bathroom in the clubhouse was closed, had to go back to the halfway house. (At least an employee drove her) I can see why the course was not busy when we were there. Obviously the owners are not prepared to put the investment into making this a great course. It's too bad.......... our group of 12-16 golfers will not be back. read more
