Falling behind on this, I was pushing late Nov to get new insulation installed and panicking as temps dropped daily. Robert / Attic Air were booked through the end of the year but they found time to fit me in for 800 sq ft (I think by working an unscheduled vacation Sat morning). They did a great job! They use the Owens Corning fiberglass, non-toxic and clean! Did not try to push or upsell me. Didn't push the toxic cellulose (don't want toxic pesticide saturated paper in my attic, we breadth that air!). They are pros and they do insulation very well!

Turns out there were mice living down there that we had no idea about. One even fell on a worker while they were pulling out the old stuff. Made sure to tell my wife who was on the fence originally about having this done. Big difference since then. The prices were generally either high for removal or insulation spray or both. However, a big factor was that most reps didn't seem knowledgeable or professional. Julian came out on time for the estimate, measured the space, and emailed the estimate right away. When we had questions, he always picked up he phone and took the time to answer them. This was our first time and thus had numerous questions: about moisture in the attic, best outside temperature, ventilation, dust prevention, etc... The team came on-time. Placed floor and stair runners, installed plastic to prevent dust. It took them longer than initially thought to remove our loose fill insulation, and Julian stuck to the job without hesitation. We had to leave the house for 24 hours to ensure fresh foam has time to cure and not breathe in the fumes. They use water based solution, but we took additional precautions. It's certainly not convenient, but it's the nature of the game. It's certainly best applying foam when still in construction not after. Overall, Julian and his team were on-time, communicated promptly, and did the job as promised. We're thinking to do our crawl space and would use them again.

That is poor business acumen, therefore I would be hesitant to hire this company.
