I had several different attic insulation companies come out to assess the moisture we knew we had in our attic and could see on our bedroom ceiling. The Attic Experts lived up to their name they were thorough and gave us a comprehensive analysis of our issues and how to address them. Turns out we had soffits that were never opened up and so they opened up the soffits, replaced the burned out motor in the attic fan, vented the bathroom fans out the roof and added additional fiberglass blown in insulation. They had over 5 guys out on the job site and were done before noon and cleaned up nicely too! I had been told by others to spray foam everywhere and or to hire a roofing consultant. I was first turned off by the gruff attitude I received over the phone, and numerous times to call to get any return call. After they Re worked our attic I am glad I did not give up. I could not be happier. I worried about my new roof being cut open to add 8 vents to my ranch home. The guy on the phone did the math with me and explained the codes and how he calculated the number of vents. This team even visited my home spent a lot of time taking pictures measuring, and looking for missing baffels in my attic soffit vents. It turned out we were missing almost everything to do it right. This proposal Engineer spent 45 minutes evaluating everything. Vaulted ceilings in 3 areas of my ranch home. We were referred to The Attic Experts by the person who serviced our AC unit. The first time I called to schedule an apt, they were straightforward with pricing and setting an apt. The crew that arrived to replace the motor on our attic fan were professional and completed the job quickly and on time. When they did the work, it was a cold day so the crew said that they confirmed the motor and fan is working, but if the fan doesn't kick on when it gets hot, call them back because that would mean the thermostat needs to be replaced. We had an 85 degree day recently and my husband went into the attic to see if the fan had kicked on, and it had not. I called this morning to have The Attic Experts come back to look at the thermostat, and the owner was extremely rude. He was immediately defensive and told me his guys would have NEVER told me what they told me, and they were booked out until mid May. Cory was awesome from the start. Got a very reasonable initial estimate to add some insulation. However, there were water issues that turned out to be much worse than initially thought that delayed the start. Since it took a lot of time and sleuthing to finally get them resolved (roof, crawl space, chimneys, etc. involved), the whole project got put off for many months, yet he was prepared to honor the initial estimate. The project ended up being much larger in the end due to the extensiveness of the water damage and mold. I ended up needing more vents, an attic fan, and total removal & replacement of the old insulation, all of which other contractors told me were needed so I knew when Cory said so, he was being totally honest. He helped me make decisions with his truly expert and sensible recommendations, and his advice aligned with the other contractors without them comparing notes; he knows his stuff! His team was prompt, courteous, and efficient. I am thrilled with this company all around! They came to provide an estimate within several days. They were knowledgeable, showed us several issues and explained how it would have affected our home (they were right). They came and quoted us in November and were very upfront by saying that there were certain things that were a priority, but not all of the work needed to be done at once.
