Robert came to give me a quote and was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I got a quote from 4 different attic insulation companies and he was the only one who really ventured to all corners of my attic to inspect every square inch. He explain a lot to me and his quote came back as one of the lowest but also included a couple other items the other companies did not. They were very responsive in answering any of my questions via email after getting the quote. The day of install, Alejandro and the crew were extremely professional and nice. They placed blankets along the path they would need to access the attic and respected my home. They did air sealing, replaced a bathroom vent, replaced two bathroom ducts with insulated ducts, enlarged my eave vents, replaced the motor on my attic fan and blew insulation all in about 3 hours. Professional, knowledgeable and flexible! Robert listens and accommodates. Had a mouse issue, removed insulation from about 1200 sq ft of living space and took the time to clean the attic. Falling behind on this, I was pushing late Nov to get new insulation installed and panicking as temps dropped daily. Robert / Attic Air were booked through the end of the year but they found time to fit me in for 800 sq ft (I think by working an unscheduled vacation Sat morning). They did a great job! They use the Owens Corning fiberglass, non-toxic and clean! Did not try to push or upsell me. Didn't push the toxic cellulose (don't want toxic pesticide saturated paper in my attic, we breadth that air!). They are pros and they do insulation very well! read more

This review is based on the initial proposal/ quote provided by the Attic Air company on 19 April 2025, for upgrading the Attic insulation at my place and a subsequent sudden withdrawal for not to complete the project. I initially filled the online query for a free estimate. It was promptly handled by the owner of the company and a mutually agreed date was scheduled for an estimate. I reviewed the proposal/ estimate, it looked very reasonable and it seemed okay to go for the next step of getting more details or clarifications on certain points mentioned in the proposal, such as, Foam Air Seal, installing baffles, clearing soffit and ridge vents, and asking details/ pictures of knee wall and attic ceiling insulation. My intent of asking these questions was to get a clear understanding of the total scope of the work, what's included or not. As it was very well mentioned in the proposal to feel free to contact for any questions, namely, "We're here when you need us". Accordingly, I took liberty of asking a few more details, but, looks like it didn't go well with the office. I was told in no uncertain terms that " we're going to continue with not scheduling, and taking a pass on doing the work". Well, I have got no argument on this step and they have got every right to do so, however, the manner in which this was conveyed leaves some unsettled questions. With this, I state that the initial part of providing an estimate was handled well and I have had an intention of providing a 5 star review for the company after a satisfactory completion of the project. But it didn't happen that way! After reading this I leave it to the readers to form their own opinion but with a word of caution - please be careful, when you ask the company for more details or clarifications. And if you ask then be prepared to get a response similar to me. read more

We had a few little tweaks needed and they came out promptly to help, turns out 1 of the fans we had problems with they didn't even install, but they helped us any way. Attic Air gave me the best quote for attic insulation (I have two attics) and was also best price for attic fan $675 and installing a bath fan that I bought $175.00 (install fee). I know there's a lot of insulation companies out there but I thought Robert's communication and quotes were excellent. Other companies wanted to charge me 3x the cost for a similar job (I interviewed 7 companies) And, he was the only company to comply with my request for basement insulation that involves batts of insulation and not sprayed closed foam (I question the safety of off gases from foam). No one else was able to do anything other than spray foam in the basement. read more

A year ago we had Robert add insulation to our attic after a recent roof replacement. Recently a pest control company was doing a termite inspection and advised we had rodents in the attic, and would need to spend $9K to have all the insulation removed and replaced. I called Robert for a 2nd opinion, and he advised that was completely unnecessary, that there was very little indication of mice. As you can imagine we were greatly relieved. I asked him how much I owed him for his time and service, and he said nothing. I can only say that if you want a quality job done, at a fair price, by a company that performs with honesty and integrity, this is the place to go. read more

Rob with Attic Air came to my home in November to give me a quote to properly insulate my attic. Rob's encounter was informative and very professional. His prices were also very reasonable compared to a competitor I had spoke with just the day before. Fast forward to today, Attic Air arrived ON TIME (a bit earlier) in two trucks. One crew worked on the outside of my home to remove soffit panels while the other crew worked in the attic to properly vent a bathroom exhaust fan, connect electricity to the attic fan, and insulate the attic. The crew was efficient and very professional. In all it took a little over two hours. They answered all of my questions and recommended installation of a door tent (which I bought) as well. In need of an exhaust fan/light installation in bathroom and contacted Attic-Air. Was able to get an appointment on the books relatively fast. They arrived promptly at 8 am and were done within an hour inside the house/attic. A shirt 30 minutes later and ventilation through the roof was completed. The fan replaced an existing can light in the shower, and was located in a very difficult corner. Attic-Air was able to complete the job and clean up all dust and insulation that fell through the attic, and vent the fan through the roof in a short amount of time. it was a total pleasure dealing with Robert and his crew. They showed up on time, he gave a thorough and complete estimate showing everything that was needed. They explaned everything they were going to do. They tarped off all the areas they would be going to and were completed and cleaned up in about an hour. The house looked like they were never even here, they cleaned up completely after they were done. After installation they made sure to show me their work and explain what they did. We had an attic fan installed and was happy with their work. I had them come back to add insulation to the attic and exhaust the bath fans correctly. With the recent cold weather, it seems to have made the house more comfortable. There was an accident by one of their workers that damaged an unrelated part during installation. Robert (the owner) immediately said he would make things right and take care of the problem. Robert brought his team to our home and gave us the full treatment. Our attic was missing baffles, insulation was not deep enough, exhaust vents were not venting to the outside and we had an inoperable attic fan. Attic Air installed exterior vents in our roof, hooked up the exhaust tubes, put in a new attic fan, baffles and blew in cellulose insulation. Our 100+ year old house did not have insulation in the attic nor did it have bathroom vents. Had an appointment with Robert who came in July to review the work needed to be done in July. They're so booked that we couldn't get availability until early October. On the day of the work, 2 guys came for the insulation and 2 came for installing the vents. Took a little over 2.5 hours. We had pro pink insulation blown into attic. The guys knew what they were doing. They also wore masks the entire time inside which I respect because not every contractor wears a mask indoors. That following night we noticed both our bathroom fans were making a lot of noise so hubby emailed Robert (owner) about it. He was very responsive and sent Alex over the next day. He was able to diagnose the problem (the damper was stuck on both fans after the bathroom vents were installed). Alex was done in 15 minutes or so and explained to me what happened. He brought his own booties and ladder so kept our area clean as he made his way inside. Overall, we are satisfied with the service and the fast responses we've gotten. read more

Attic Air is the best! Robert is trustworthy, professional, and meticulous. We got his name from our neighbors across the street who highly recommended him. We had Attic Air install several roof vents and put insulation in our crawl space that was sorely needed. They also installed a motorized exhaust fan on the roof to vent the crawl space when it hits a certain temp in the Summer. And, Robert was kind enough to set us up with a roof vent and proper connective tubing over our bathroom in anticipation of an exhaust fan we will be installing once we redo our bathroom. It's all set up and ready. The work was done in September, 2018. It looks great. We are properly vented and insulated. We have been so pleased with our heating bill over the Winter. The gas bill went down significantly! Cant wait to see our ComEd bill this Summer. Fast forward 8 months later. Yesterday we noticed a small water spot on a our ceiling and left a message for Robert. It's a holiday weekend and yet Robert came today, into the City from St. Charles to address the issue. He found the problem at one of the vents and replaced the vent, sealed it, and guaranteed the issue was solved. He showed us pictures and thoroughly explained what happened. It was a fluke of an issue involving a lose board in the crawl space. However, there's absolutely no reason to even consider doing this project yourself. Neither should you consider a "handyman" or general contractor. Attic work is what they do and they do it better than anyone else. You are not going to buy an attic fan more than a couple of times in your life. There's no way you're going to find a better one than they provide. They have worked with all the manufactures and only provide what they know is the best. They are meticulous about keeping your home clean. They were fast. I had an issue with some noise on a fan and they came out that day to fix it.
