I could not be happier. I worried about my new roof being cut open to add 8 vents to my ranch home. The guy on the phone did the math with me and explained the codes and how he calculated the number of vents. This team even visited my home spent a lot of time taking pictures measuring, and looking for missing baffels in my attic soffit vents. It turned out we were missing almost everything to do it right. This proposal Engineer spent 45 minutes evaluating everything. Vaulted ceilings in 3 areas of my ranch home. Truly are experts, not just a name, its actually real honest and scientific expert type person. My heating bill in the first 3 months went from 230 per month to 89.00 a month, and the two rooms in front which needed heaters for the grandkids now stays at 68 min to 73 all the time. 8 vents 2 bathroom fans and re designed with proper size hoses 6 inches of blown in installation that from the side looks like my crew cut hair cut. How they got that to be perfect is awesome in itself. 9 vent baffles were installed, sealed all lights and any holes they found My roof vent from Storm Guard roof company had 2 areas where the roof vent went sideways and was never glued down. They repaired it too. Not one detail or little detail was missed. You can trust these people to do it Right. They did it all in 4 hours 15 minutes. I may go for the automatic Attic Fan in 2022 now, I just saved the money for that install in 4 months ROI is easy to justify. ARC…read moreprovided a quote ( without visiting our home) that included the following sentence, "Please confirm exterior walls are framed 2x4". I told the rep that other companies have inspected our home and stated that our walls are suitable for blown in insulation. ARC never came to visit our home - while their competitors did this as a standard account management cycle. Fast forward to this week, I was ready to sign the agreement and pay the deposit - the rep asked me to confirm the 2x4 framing. I asked him how he wanted me to do this - he suggested I drill pilot holes in each wall or pay a 3rd party to do this and that ARC was not responsible for verifying the details of our home. Not responsible for validating a critical project detail before having you customer pay thousands of dollars?! Extremely poor customer service and frankly, a lazy sales team. I am sure the crews doing the work are great, but the accounts team could use a refresh. I will work with a competitor unless ARC has employees willing to visit their prospective customers!

While other assessors came across with a salesman approach, Jim was super practical and realistic from the start about my options. Like I was initially set on getting cellulose for my attic, but Jim pointed out some limitations given the age and construction of my home (condo built in the 1970s). He mentioned examples of older places with cellulose developing issues like sagging ceilings. No other assessor mentioned this, so deciding to work with Jim was an easy choice. He was honest and only recommended what worked best for my situation. As of writing this review, it's been over 2 weeks since his crew came and completed both air sealing and insulation. Before, my second floor would always had a 4 to 5 degree temperature difference from my main floor. Since their work, there is no significant difference. I even checked the temperature consistently for a few days just to make sure. Whatever they did, it's made a huge difference! Jim was one of a few companies that I received estimates from for insulation, but he was far and away the most thorough and descriptive. As a first time home owner, I didn't know a shingle from a soffit - Jim made the whole process easy to understand. Further, his report on our home after the estimate was like a graduate thesis, but in layman terms. I'm far more educated about my home after working with Jim, and I finally have adequate insulation in my attic and crawl space. He was also reasonably priced (competitive with another estimate and 1/3 of the most expensive estimate that we received). TL:DR - I would recommend Jim and his team to anyone looking to up their insulation game (he also does HVAC and Solar, although we weren't in the market for these).
