Fox winery is a private winery. Unfortunately you can only get their wines here and one local shop. If you like sweet wines you'll love the blueberry and they have a new blueberry Pineapple, those are my favorites. They also have a Raspberry that swet and tart but its seasonal. The Captains choice and Antebellum Rose are semi sweet. They have a Melot and Cabernet as well. They have a free wine tasting. You also get a 5% off when you buy 5 and more and 10% when you buy 12 and more. They also sell jams, homemade soaps, souvenirs, beef jerkies and wine accessories.

Very nice selection of local wines, reasonably priced. Convenient location just off I-20 East.

Friendly staff. Sad that they aren't doing more. Wine is not very good. A hidden gem that is missing the mark.

I bought a bottle of sweet Chardonnay and a blueberry wine because I'm a sucker for fruit wines.

Then, it was on to a semi-dry white (Muscadine). And, for the first time in my life, the sweet wines Blackberry, Blueberry, Plum, Peach Passion, Peach Shine {21% ABV!} and, Strawberry). All were absolutely delicious! And, had a few pretzels, too. Since I already have some Pinot Noir, I settled on a bottle of the White Muscadine, Blueberry and, Peach Passion (the Peach Shine has a "peachier" flavor, but at 21% ABV, was too much for me). They also have different kinds of honey and, jams & preserves. Definitely won't mind stopping by here again.

She was patient and let us try the wines and meads that we were untested in. The more you buy, the more of a discount pet bottle you receive. A case of wine is $13 a bottle. That's such a good price. The average bottle price is $16. I love that the wines are made with muscadine. My favorite is the blackberry bliss. They offer mostly sweet wines but also have a few dry wines and semisweet ones. We returned a second time in December. I was able to schedule an appointment on a Sunday with Bo for them to open. He was great! Very informative and pleasant. He shared some good stories with us. We'll definitely be back again and again.

The night before our trip, I made the mistake of reading reviews and started to feel a little skeptical, but by then, it was too late to cancel. I'm actually glad it was, because our experience turned out to be a great one. When we arrived, the grounds were absolutely beautiful and very well maintained. At check-in, we were told the last wine tour started at 5:00 p.m., and it was already 4:45. I asked if we could go the next day (Monday), and the front desk agent assured us we could, saying they were open daily from 12-6. After settling into our room, we headed to Louis' House of Bourbon. The food was decent, but the drinks were excellent. The atmosphere alone made it worth the visit. The next day, however, we found out that the wine tours and tastings were actually closed on Mondays, which was disappointing given the information we were told at check-in. Still, we didn't let that ruin our trip. We went out to a nearby steakhouse for dinner and returned to the resort for drinks at what had quickly become our favorite spot, Louis'. I have to give a special shoutout to the staff, Manny, Anya, and Cole were amazing. They were attentive, friendly, and really elevated our experience. Overall, we had a great stay and are already looking forward to coming back, especially in the summer to enjoy the pool and hot tub!
