It said on their menu that they have collard greens. I called, but they did not have collard greens. I spoke with the manager told him I would bring him in collard greens, which I did, a week later. I think they got put in the refrigerator and I don't think anybody ever did anything with them. I never got a phone call, and I did leave my number so he could call me when he got to them. I just called the restaurant again to find out where their menu was. The dotcom address, that's on the Facebook page that I have has info from 2025. The woman who answered was rude. She should have said that she would send me a link....but instead, she told me that she wasn't in charge of that and hung up on me. This is the 3rd time I've tried to go there to eat. I went to Foxfire Fixin's for the first time during COVID, when all the other restaurants were shut down, and I'll never forget it. I'm really picky and usually don't like trying new foods, but I saw my dad get the brisket on his plate and asked for a bite. That first taste completely changed my perspective on trying new things -- it's the best brisket I've ever had, perfectly smoked, juicy, and bursting with flavor. I've tried brisket from many other places since that first experience, but none of them have compared. The sauce that comes with the brisket is incredible, and the crispy fried onions on top are just perfect. The brisket and chicken noodle soup are my absolute favorites, but honestly, I love everything I've tried on their menu. The indoor atmosphere is lively and fun, with amazing decorations, unique dishes, and silverware, and the outdoor area is perfect too. Went here for lunch for my birthday and it was a great experience. Had the Poutine as an appetizer and it was delicious with the gravy and cheese curds. Had the half slab of ribs with cornbread, coleslaw and fries. The ribs were very tasty with the sweet BBQ on it. The cornbread was made fresh to order and I even got an extra one. The coleslaw was delicious and the fries were good. I even got a big chocolate chip cookie as a birthday dessert. They also give you generous portions. It was decorated so cool with all of the photos on the tables. Overall, it was one of the best experiences that I have ever had at a restaurant with the customer service that I received. We went when they first opened so they weren't prepared really. We were craving the nachos so we decided on the brisket (our waitress recommended) and the bbq sauces on the side (there were three to choose from) and baked Mac n cheese. The nachos were just ok. The Mac n cheese was dry so I should've tried the regular instead of baked. Lilly our waitress was very friendly. The atmosphere is what was most astounding. All kinds of fun things to look at. We took a spur of the moment trip here, after a recommendation from a friend. We were NOT disappointed. Despite being rather secluded, and having a very rustic appearance upon arrival, everything was clean and had a cool southern eclectic charm. Chairs didn't match, decore was all over the place, but that's half the fun. I got the pork rinds and the potato skins for the apps. They did take a decent amount of time to come out of the kitchen, but it was definitely freshly cooked and homemade and very flavorful. We shared the bbq sampler and it was plenty to share for 2. The food was freshly smoked and flavorful and melt in your mouth. We also got a side of mac and extra corn bread. The mac was made fresh and had real cheese, and was extra creamy. We were so full after the food, but couldn't pass up dessert. We got a few slices of pie to go too. Overall, slightly slow service, but that's expected give the overall feel of the southern kitchen and home cooked meal. This is by far the BEST bbq in Michigan that I've ever had. We came here based off some friends who've been here and loved it. We went with our normal crew of 8 (2 families). Even though it was a Sunday we made reservations. Didn't really have to but not taking the chance. When we pulled up the parking lot had signs at all the parking spots, which was pretty cool. The decorations in the restaurant is like a cross between garage sale and like your grandmas house if she collected stuff. Or like a place Mike and Frank from American Pickers might stop by. I loved it. Food: Cajun boil- spicy but great. Pizza, medium cheese minus feta, girls loved it and my wife had the Meat brisket sammich which she enjoyed. It was a little expensive but worth it. FOOD, bland, no flavor, boring, and unbelievably OVERPRICED! Not sure why they think they can charge 15$ for a meal that you can get for 3$ at any other mom and pop cafe in Michigan is beyond me. They had advertised homemade chips the waitress said the machine was broken all it was was chips out of the bag. Disappointed!
