Went here for lunch for my birthday and it was a great experience. Had the Poutine as an appetizer and it was delicious with the gravy and cheese curds. Had the half slab of ribs with cornbread, coleslaw and fries. The ribs were very tasty with the sweet BBQ on it. The cornbread was made fresh to order and I even got an extra one. The coleslaw was delicious and the fries were good. I even got a big chocolate chip cookie as a birthday dessert. They also give you generous portions. It was decorated so cool with all of the photos on the tables. Overall, it was one of the best experiences that I have ever had at a restaurant with the customer service that I received. I would go back here again.

We went when they first opened so they weren't prepared really. We were craving the nachos so we decided on the brisket (our waitress recommended) and the bbq sauces on the side (there were three to choose from) and baked Mac n cheese. The nachos were just ok. The Mac n cheese was dry so I should've tried the regular instead of baked. Lilly our waitress was very friendly. The atmosphere is what was most astounding. All kinds of fun things to look at. Check them out I'm glad we did.

AMAZING JOINT! This place has it all... The staff is friendly and very helpful. The food is very good (love the rub they use on the bbq'd meat). Then there is the decor, omg, how amazing is it!!! Each area has a theme and is so busy yet organized that the genius shines through! We will be back. They also have a few vegetarian options for those who can't handle the meat sweats lol ** great iced tea! All around one of the new favs in the area!

Absolutely perfect. The staff was amazing and polite and very knowledgeable about the courses and we even got to meet the owner and he was very polite and talked with us for an extended amount of time. Definitely try the brisket and the Mac n cheese. Also if you are not a vegetable person. You will be after you try their broccoli. If I could give this place 10 stars I would.

the Staff. Very Friendly. I believe this place is an out of the way gem. Well worth the trip if you have to come from a little ways. Food was very good and definitely you got worth your money. I had one of the burgers on Texas toast. Wife had Mac and Cheese. I saved the best for the last this place has amazing Decor. Will keep you looking all over the restaurant from wall to wall and ceiling to floor. Finally and again the staff was supper friendly. Will definitely be back.

We took a spur of the moment trip here, after a recommendation from a friend. We were NOT disappointed. Despite being rather secluded, and having a very rustic appearance upon arrival, everything was clean and had a cool southern eclectic charm. Chairs didn't match, decore was all over the place, but that's half the fun. I got the pork rinds and the potato skins for the apps. They did take a decent amount of time to come out of the kitchen, but it was definitely freshly cooked and homemade and very flavorful. We shared the bbq sampler and it was plenty to share for 2. The food was freshly smoked and flavorful and melt in your mouth. We also got a side of mac and extra corn bread. The mac was made fresh and had real cheese, and was extra creamy. We were so full after the food, but couldn't pass up dessert. We got a few slices of pie to go too. Overall, slightly slow service, but that's expected give the overall feel of the southern kitchen and home cooked meal. This is by far the BEST bbq in Michigan that I've ever had. A MUST recommended visit!

They have preserved the heritage and architecture so beautifully it gives the entire venue such a sophisticated, storied allure. The layout is simply divine. They offer a chic bar area, elegant indoor seating, and a breathtaking balcony that is absolutely the premier spot to watch the sunset over the water. It is a perfect 10/10 for ambiance alone! The hospitality was equally impressive. My waiter was remarkably gracious, walking me through a menu that surprisingly featured quite a few complimentary touches and wonderful selections. On his recommendation, I opted for the Lobster Corn Dog a delightfully whimsical, high-low culinary twist that was executed to perfection. During our lovely chat, the waiter mentioned they are under fabulous new ownership, and the passion truly shows. As someone newer to sharing my thoughts on Yelp, I can confidently say this is a premier destination that deserves a flawless score. A must-visit if you appreciate history, views, and impeccable charm!

I should've looked at the inside pictures more. My bad. :( The woman that runs a shop is sweet and friendly and helpful. She does events for the local kids and veterans. She also has classes for date nights and other events, for anyone that wants to learn how to make pierogi. The pierogi are all frozen, order and pay at the front counter. All orders are bagged. A small sheet of paper to give instructions on how to cook the pierogies in a pan with some butter. Suggested to eat with some sautéed onions and or sour cream for some. I got the chicken pot pie, the mushroom and mozzarella, cheddar, the potato and garlic, sauerkraut and mushroom, sauerkraut and onion. $87.04 The chicken pot pie comes with gravy and some crumbs to put on top. They have 25 different flavors, however, they were out of many and sold out , especof all the extra fellas. We cooked up the pierogi, sautéed some onions, kielbasa, kraut. We ate the potato and mushroom and mozzarella pierogi with the onions, cream cheese or sour cream. Pierogi took about 6-8 minutes on medium heat on the stovetop to brown some. The mushroom wasn't my favorite, as the mushrooms would gush out some water from it, was a rather unexpected experience, not for me. The mushroom and cheese were decent. The kraut and onion and the chicken pot pie fell apart somewhat during the cooking and flipping for us. The potatoes were as expected, not too bad.
