So to the Heckler crew, thank you for keeping it simple. This visit I had the Fried Pickles which if being honest were good but they're not the best I've had. If I could give a recommendation I would move away from the breading that's being used as I feel it takes away from the actual pickle which for me is about 90% of the taste profile. The breading was a bit overpowering. Sometimes simple is better. But that's just my opinion as a fried pickle enthusiast. Now as for the pizza, I have to give a solid high five. I've been here three times and everytime I've gotten a pizza and none have disappointed. This time around I got the meat lovers and it was fresh, and delicious. Overall, Heckler is a great place to go and one thing I do love about this place is that it's always a chill vibe, with great service.

The pepperoni pizza generally, you spread the pepperoni all over the pizza, but for some strange reason, a lot of the pepperoni were geared more towards the middle of the pizza, which I can't understand why, and it was extremely greasy, which could be understandable based upon the type of pepperoni, which did not seem to be a higher quality than normal, and that would be the same for the cheese. It depends on the cheese as well. In my humble opinion, I think there are a better pizza places in the area other than your national chains which we try to avoid, but I'm not so sure about Brooklyn pizza.
