This place is usually great but the quality has went way down hill. Wait times are often quite long, around a good 30-45 minutes till you actually get your food. This itself isn't the main issue however, but what I've seen more of recently is. The flies are just out of control. I watched as dozens of flies just had their way with the ingredients and pizzas that were waiting to go into the oven. The employees didn't even seem phased by their presence either. read more

We've always loved the concept of a make your own pizza. Our last visit to MOD pizza was okay but this visit really did it in for me. The kitchen area was pretty gross and there was trash all over the floor. Pizza is just okay and the crust has no flavor. More of a tasteless cracker loaded with toppings and some cheese. We had a coupon for the No Name dessert and that was pretty tasty. Half the soda machine worked and only one lemonade was filled. So it was disappointing to be charged for drinks. Stopped in for lunch before the big downpour around 12:30 ish, was not that crowded due to rain, service was quick as the toppings area has changed and was split in half to serve two folks at a time, only down fall is less toppings from they first opened. All the beverages were full. The ambiance needs to be updated and deep cleaned, some of the bench cushions were badly worn, ripped and taped up and walls cleaned or painted as not much has changed at this location since it opened. I've been to this location a few times. I have enjoyed my pizza each time. I opted for "The Tristan" because, who doesn't love Pesto? I even asked for extra pesto. They have plenty of options on their menu, and you can build your own pizza. The service was good. Prices are reasonable and for a regular MOD sized pizza, it's around $10. Updating this review after experiencing a completed 180 in service and food here today at MOF. Everyone was so friendly, welcoming, and kind. They kept asking me if I needed help and were just so thoughtful and attentive. They made me feel appreciated as a customer and it was genuine. The concept of this place is amazing. You pay for the type of crust you want and you can customize the whole pizza with no extra charge! I was so surprised at how well my pizza turned out. They cook it in a beautiful classic stone pizza oven, this made the whole pizza taste above average. Don't come to this MODS. Trash was overflowing, all tables were dirty as was the floor. Most of all it is 35 degrees outside and maybe 65 on the inside, FREEZING. My fiancé and I come here at least once a month. We really had no issue despite their B rating with the health dept. However, tonight, we witnessed something highly unsanitary that made us turn around and walk out. It was Tuesday, Sept 27th, around 8:30 pm. While waiting online to order, we witnessed an employee who was handling pizza dough behind the counter engaging with another customer. He decided to give her his phone number and had her phone behind the counter with the food touching it with his gloves. We watched as he input his digits and laid her phone down next to the food station BEHIND the counter. When he was finished, he left the phone on the counter by the food station and proceeded to touch dough w the same gloves. ANOTHER employee noticed the phone still laying there and hands the phone back to the girl w his gloved hands. He also resumed building pizzas without changing his gloves. We were highly concerned about cross contamination-this was highly inappropriate and unsanitary. My fiancé asked for a manager, pulled her to the side and explained what happened. The manager went to the employee and he immediately started to remove his gloves. He knew what he did was wrong. We just couldn't eat there due to the health risk after what we saw. I Felt bad for the workers so I asked if they could take another customer before closing and they said yes. Normally love this place! I'm not sure if it's the location in Fayetteville, but it was an experience that is making me think twice about this place. Location was not clean. Staff was rude. What I witnessed yesterday was unacceptable. The food prep area was disgusting and the employee wiped it down with a wet rag that looked like it was used in a surgical emergency room. The floors, employees clothing and food handling were just appalling. Not a single hairnet or head covering was being used. The staff attitudes needed improving as well. To say that I merely "liked" my pizza experience here or simply thought it was "good" would be a gross understatement. I'd never heard of MOD Pizza prior to visiting Fayetteville for the first time this pre-Thanksgiving weekend. However, you can believe I will be petitioning the company to include Atlanta in its list of future locations. The interior resembles what it would look like if Chipotle and Five Guys had a baby. Just like @ Chipotle, you call out your ingredients and watch as your pizza is made right before your eyes. You can totally invent your own or use one of their staple pizzas as a base. Being that it was my first time I decided to go with the Mad Dog, but added bacon, Asiago cheese and salt/pepper. IT WAS AH-MAZING!!! I also had the crew make a gluten-free veggie pizza for my wife with unusual toppings like kale and garbanzo beans. They recommended their "pink" sauce (which is s blend of the house marinara and Alfredo) for my wife's pizza. I was a little afraid since she was back at the apartment we were renting for the weekend and can be somewhat picky. But to my delight she absolutely devoured her pizza when I returned. When you've been with your spouse for 20 years, ordering something they weren't expecting and nailing it feels like winning the lottery. An even bigger surprise was how much my two teenage boys loved their pizza. They both have two totally different tastes for pizza and yet shared the same pizza with equal enthusiasm... maybe for the first time ever. One doesn't like a lot of cheese or a lot of toppings while the other hates end crust and too little cheese. Each was totally pleased with our pizza and ate the entire thing, crust and all. FINAL THOUGHTS I was also impressed with how short the wait time is for the pizza, how reasonable the price was and that you can get as many toppings as you want for said price! Here are my suggestions: - Receive the customer explaining briefly how to order. Why? Because the customer needs time to feel welcome in the place. I do NOT recommend this restaurant. The place smells weird and very dirty. You should've seen the floor... it was dirtiest floor I ever seen I think a football team locker room is cleaner. I'll make this short. The place is so dirty, the floor, tables, trash cans over flowing, the toilets! The drink station was empty, sticky, gross. I had to swap out three high chairs before I found one that wasn't broken! Pizza took 45 minutes and one was sitting on the shelf cold. Second pizza had toppings missing so had to be remade. Cake I ordered was fresh out of the freezer so couldn't eat it for a few hours. Had to take the second pizza home to eat as everyone was finished. Manager was friendly and apologised for the error in pizza toppings and made new one no issues. Staff were polite and working hard but have very low moral! Everyone seemed over worked and tired. None seemed like they wanna be there. I feel for them. Didn't see hair nets, actually found a hair in the pizza box. Staff did wear gloves but not sure how often they're changed. Some wore masks some didn't. But it's not mandatory now. Outside was clean ish so we sat there, lots of room. Plant based sausage had zero taste and the pizza was wet in the middle and soggy for some reason? Didn't taste of much even though it had three cheeses and seasoning still very bland. No music, no atmosphere, not a place to hang about just eat and leave. It's a shame because it has a lot of potential.
