One of the managers also came out and talked to me, letting me know they are opening up a coffee shop/soft serve at the store soon. I got to chat with her letting her know my daughter's ridiculous $40 a cup experience at Dior in FL -and she made sure she got a pic at the place so it seemed somewhat justified ! The lady assured me the coffees were going to be more like Starbucks prices. The point is, everyone was friendly, we made small talk, and there were plenty of people willing to help. After my purchases I noticed a whole section of bags I hadn't noticed the first time. The styles are wonderful and up to date, with something for everyone . They are well stocked and the mall is super clean, with a ton of dangerous shopping choices, from classic to upscale. . I could have gone to Carlsbad or Ontario and I'm glad I chose this location. I would NOT recommend Ontario's Mills and I'll leave it at that.

I had been shopping all day & while my girlfriend browsed I took my bags and sat on the red bench in the back . He then proceeded to walk to the back and stand directly behind me as I sat and browsed on my phone. He did not move from behind me the entire time I was in the store. It is undeniable that he thought I didn't belong in his store and wanted to "keep an eye on me". I was so uncomfortable I tried to ask about some boots that I thought were Marni & he gave me some snoody, sassy remark. Black people are already racially profiled everywhere we go. It's degrading, demeaning , rude, mean and most of all unnecessary. I would expect some empathy from a gay man, who also has probably faced prejudice throughout his life but i received none. He literally stood right behind me as If he was trying to read my texts. If he had sneezed, the entire back of my head & neck would've been wet. This type of behavior is not only insensitive but also dangerous, as it reinforces negative stereotypes that put people at risk for violence. I was so bothered and disturbed by this employees energy and attitude toward me, shortly after leaving I called the store and told him I was offended and hurt by his actions. He gave me some BS excuse about being able to greet people from the back of the store? And that they tell him to stand there when people come in ? Even though he greeted us from the desk at the front? Then condescendingly told me he's sorry "I felt" he was racially profiling me . No sir . I have been black all of my life . Much like you have probably been gay all of your life. I know what it feels like to be racially profiled. I understand that you as a white man , gay or not, have been indoctrinated and also benefit from a system of white supremacy & white supremacist ideology, knowingly or not. You thought I didn't belong in your store because I'm a black man. You thought you had to watch me because it was abnormal for me to be there and that I didn't intend to buy anything. You most likely thought I intended on stealing something. Well, that wasn't my intention. I was simply trying to have a nice day with my girlfriend, shop at a few stores and look in a few others. I'm obviously still saddened and hurt by this associate's behavior which is why I'm typing this long review. I would give you zero stars if I could. I would flag your store with a racist button if I could. If I had the time, I would stand outside of your store with a big sign that says "RACIST MAN INSIDE. DONT SHOP HERE". Be glad that I politely called you after I left the store, because some more Black people did walk in and I could've really made a huge scene about it & they would've most likely had my back. I'm sure as I left you began to stalk & eyeball them as well and make them feel uncomfortable. I hope that you see this review. I hope that you check your prejudice and start to see that your ideologies really harm people and makes them feel bad about themselves and I hope that makes you feel bad about yourself. They have a great variety of shoes there and I found a hoka that was so cute and wore them out of the store and for the rest of the weekend! The woman in the store helped me find my size, and even let me run around like a little kid to see if the shoe felt good for me too! The shoe was well worth the price, around $150 not including tax. I strongly recommend this spot, especially since it's walking distance from hotels nearby. I'm happy I found this place and don't regret my purchase at all!!!! His makeup application was perfectly camera ready I looked very natural, not overdone and received tons of compliments!
