Furthermore the only two girls working that night were focusing on closing duties- not once asking if my friend or I would like to start a room- and we had our arm full of clothes. There were a few other shoppers also in the store, none were greeted or helped either. The atmosphere was very cold, which is extremely upsetting coming from a self-proclaimed Loft spokesgirl. I'm a literal walking Loft billboard and have never felt so unwanted in a store. Yes, the store was large and was stocked with amazing pieces, but going out to the gorge and making this stop was not worth it. I found 3 items which, yes I love, but the outlet doesn't offer any of the same discounts as the regular stores. They also don't accept loft cash which is inconvenient.

On my way back this time, I decided to stop at the Outlet mall in Troutdale. I had been here before, but I never cared for it. I guess deep down this store was calling my name. The Loft opened a store in this mall six weeks ago, six weeks ago, can you believe it. They are located in the old Liz Claiborne store. I scored quite a few items. I keep telling myself I don't need anything else, but every time I stop by the Loft, I end up getting 5 to 6 items. Ugh, I still have 3 weeks left in Hood River. This is going to be expensive.

While this shopping plaza lacks an anchor store like Target and a slew of typical strip mall stores like Old Navy, Petco, TJ Maxx or Marshall's, it does have a really nice, well stocked Ross, a large Joann Fabrics & Crafts, and on the opposite end, a Walmart Supercenter and Dollar Tree. Sprinkled in between and in the parking lot is an LA Fitness, and a US Airforec, Navy, Army and Marine Enlistment office. There are several restaurants, too. For fast food there is Jack in the Box, Izzy's Pizza, Subway, Starbucks and Happy Terriyaki. There may still be a Wings place. On the end by Walmart is H.K. Cafe, the best dumplings and dim sum in Portland, no question. Strangely, this plaza is home to lots of financial posts and services: US Bank, Bank of America, H&R Block, Post Office, Providence Medical, and dental, insurance and chiropractic offices. In the back is a Cinemax Theatre, a relic representing the pre-Covid life that many of us miss. Never thought going to a movie theatre would no longer be an option. It's a mediocre shopping center as illustrated by the stores. It's a place I go for a particular purpose, like I need some new bathroom towels at Ross or I need jewelry supplies at Joann's. It's not a place you drive by and feel like you hit the jackpot with several great stores all in one location. However if you keep driving on SE 82nd, you will come across several other strip malls and stores so you can check off lots of errands in one general area.

There is a Walmart, a movie theater, a few banks, some crappy restaurants, and lots of space. Essentially a picture of suburbia without much of any downtown flair. There is also a Chinese buffet and an overpriced Radio Shack here as well, I suppose this place is as good as any for the potentially bored and broke teenagers.

There are a variety of eateries- corporate chain restaurants and local ones. Cascade Station was bustling on a recent holiday weekend. People seemed rushed and hurried trying to get in and out of the parking lot. Be cautious. A great thing to know is that Oregon does not charge sales tax so shop shop shop. ;) If staying at a PDX airport hotel, I would return here. 4 stars!

This is nothing like going to a local feed store or shoe store to find hats and shoes and jeans. They have so much more, the boot selection is even better than what I've seen in Nevada casinos and large western shops. In other states. I was extremely impressed with the accessories for hats, necklaces earrings clothing options are also impressive. The staff was very nice. Nobody swarmed us or bugged us to make a sale. They were very hands-off until you asked a question. Then they were polite and helpful. The prices were better than expected. Everything is so expensive anymore. It's a little scary to look at Price tags. I was able to get two hat, bands, a new hat, a brand new Levi sleeveless shirt for my husband's birthday All for 100 bucks incredibly good price considering what we got. I've heard from a few friends that the other locations are equally well stocked. Definitely will be going back here. The only place that has more stuff than this is the triple agent In Salem, Oregon so that's really saying something if you know you know.

The back of the store has a huge selection of fashionable work footwear, and the middle of the store has many racks of apparel. Boots are arranged by size (just as shoes in a shoe store are), but the signage was easy for me to overlook. After spending a lot of time generally feeling lost, the only on-duty employee came over and provided a HUGE amount of help. She spent a lot of time bringing me boots of various styles and price ranges, various insoles to try them with, and explained to me that they could stretch three different areas of the boots if a liked pair needed a bit of adjustment. I ultimately selected a really nice pair that carried a high price tag, but this truly seems like a one-time investment, so I didn't mind this. I'm really impressed with Boot Barn, and highly recommend it if you're looking for Western wear or Western work shoes or boots. Don't let the toppled wooden horse in the parking lot dissuade you.

I got a bunch of baking supplies there along with some small kitchen items. I do tend to walk around longer than I should but it's really hard not to esp when you think you'll notice something after several rounds of walking around. They stock Royal iced coffee. Because I am from Hawaii, seeing the can in their fridge always makes me happy. I always go in and buy a can even if I have coffee from blackrock already in my car, I can't help it! It makes me think of home. Aside from the manager being friendly, the employees are as well. They don't stalk you like some places would. They sometimes say Hi but mostly focus on other things and let you go about your day while shopping. This is very appreciable because it's not comfortable shopping in some stores and being stalked like a hawk waiting for its prey
