The café offers plenty of seating and feels bright and welcoming, thanks to its corner location with large windows that let in lots of natural light. The owner is from Tanzania, and the mission of the business is to serve the local community with high-quality African coffee beans. Part of the profits go back to Africa to support coffee workers and help improve living conditions in their communities. Their signature drink is the Zanzibar spiced coffee, which I featured in my photo. It's infused with a blend of warm spices that makes it truly unique. The coffee I ordered was a lighter roast, with a pleasant hint of acidity as you sip it. They also have three different food options with African bread. The staff are incredibly friendly and happy to share the story behind the coffee shop, which makes the experience even more meaningful.

A coffee shop gets an upgrade when they offer yummy eats. The African chicken and veggie wraps were both worthy. The dipping sauce packed some heat. Very cute space and doable parking

As soon as I came in and met with one of your employees, I had nothing but the best most kind genuine experience. I didn't catch his name, but he had offered to let me sample the flavors on tap and also take a to-go cup! I had asked a couple questions and he explained everything that is done, even got a little sneak peek into where the canning line was. Yes, I geeked out because I love stuff like this. And he was super awesome enough to tell me about all the flavors and when I specifically asked for the new blackberry lime, he said they actually finished canning it yesterday, which is what I came here for! I had also planned to pick up some stuff for my niece since she lives quite a bit of ways from your location. She only gets it when she can find it at the market and her area so this is going to be a real treat! Thanks for such an awesome experience as I visited Lion Heart! I also appreciate having the help carrying out all my cans to my car since my hands were already full. You guys rock and I will certainly be back to visit many times over.

Chilled and served correctly, this offers the same great taste and fizz. We only tried the Blood Orange and Ginger Fix, but were pleasantly surprised with the product out of a can. I received excellent customer service, being greeted right away and offered help, and then a staff person following up once I had started browsing to make recommendations and look into price ranges. I was able to take the sample boards home to see how they looked in reality. There was no pressure to buy, no rushing or upselling. They had a sufficient variety of materials in color/pattern, height/pile, fiber type, etc. This project was not a time when I was going bold or pricey, so we ended up with a simple warm neutral tone. I would come back for future carpet projects or other needs!

I went to this location with my interior designer, who let me use his professional discount. So nice! First, as I said they have an excellent range of options - and I'm a self- proclaimed "tile slut". I l-o-v-e beautiful tile, it is my weakness! I always spend too much money on tile and I was once told by my builder that he'd never again agree to a client's tile selection until he knew how the client wanted it installed. My "complex tile pattern" (as he called it) had cost him money! I didn't expect to find something as unique as I wanted at CFM, but I found beautiful tile and it is being installed right now. Something I love for three bathrooms and the kitchen. CFM also let me bring home a selection of flooring to see how it looked in our home. I did this two different times and they mailed me some tile samples I needed. Probably, one of the best features of this location was how excellent the knowledgeable/experienced staff was. Everyone. They knew their stuff and were really helpful and so nice. I worked with Christi Bird and was helped by Kathy over the phone a few days ago. I highly recommend this biz and this location, if it is convenient for you. I'll definitely use them again. This reviewer is female. Wife of "Bob". Not Bob. Don't know why yelp thinks I'm Bob.

I cannot believe this hasn't been reviewed. Am I the only STEEL geek?…read more Need STEEL? They got STEEL! This business exists in the Oregon vortex where ordinary individuals can easily purchase specialized items because there is little wholesale/retail division here. Other states with sales taxes are radically different. Wholesale businesses, in those other nasty states, don't collect sales tax. Too complicated. And for that reason, they don't sell to you and me, ever. But the Steel Yard does sell to you, me and everyone we know! The Steel Yard is a gravely paved industrial spot in the permanent autonomous zone, by the tracks, near I'm sure, plenty of hazardous waste areas. They will never build condos there. It helps to check their website ahead of time or phone the nice staff about what they have, and the lengths and prices. And length matters. This is not a "it's not how long you make it, it's how you make it long" kind of place. I'll get back to that. They have steel plate, steel bar, rod, I-beam, round/ rectangular and square tube. It's all rusty, except some stainless, so don't expect otherwise. They can cut it to length, but there may be a charge. I have purchased 1/8" plate to form nifty plant bed borders in the yard. It's pretty flexy-bendy, cool. And if you are a welder, you got to know the Steel Yard. You need to get into the mindset that the yard staff and even the office are more used to industrial purchasers. You are not going to get your ego stroked by friendly customer-service felial waitrons, especially on busy Saturdays. Most of the customers are in welding clothes and drive beat trucks. You don't need a fancy truck if you can just fix the old one with a welding rod. Drive in, knowing what you want. The yard dudes load it while you walk to the office to pay. Be a pro. Don't block things. If you have a ton of questions, pull off to the side, before asking, On length. Plan ahead how lengthly and heavy the metal you are buying is. Bring a suitably studly vehicle, even if you have to borrow a friend and their truck, because it's hard to fit a 20' length of steel in a Mini. Yes, size matters. Bring the law-required flag for protruding things you are hauling in your bench seat vehicle. So it's a little different than the suburban retail suppliers. Here it is all about the price per pound and the pounds per foot. But if you want raw STEEL at industrial prices, cheap, this is the most solid place in Portlandia.
