After my extensive search on google and yelp, I've decided to take my autograph Dan Marino jersey to get framed at Frame 2000. Going to Frame 2000 is quite of a distance from Downtown LA. Parking is fairly easy. The store is somewhat small. Will is the man at Frame 2000. He was very helpful with what I wanted done. Pricing is a tad bit high but I felt I got what I paid for. I recommended my friend to get his jersey framed here and he was very pleased with the final product and service from Will. Due to the service I received from Will, I came back a second time. Will and his team did a great job stretching two of my canvases that I recently picked up on a trip to Brasil. One is 59"x39" and the other is 9"x25". Both of these pieces were finished in under a week, which is much faster than other local framing spots. I will definitely be back when I need to get some pieces framed. read more

10 stars! This place is excellent! Great customer service. Great workmanship. I took in a very old piece to be re-framed for my mother. The item is collector set of Olympic pens from 1984 and part of a set of 3. So it had to match the other 2 pieces. Turns out this 'little project' was a huge undertaking. Each pen had to be placed separately and inline with the others. Must have been done originally in a factory. Can't imagine the time it took for Will (the frame guy) to complete it by hand. Once I saw what was required I expected them to up the price accordingly. To my surprise they stuck to the original price even though it turned out to be so time consuming. That's awesome! We had two original oil-on-canvas paintings framed. It was cheaper than I expected, and they were done two days early, but the work they did was great. The staff was super helpful in helping us to pick out frames for our paintings (I didn't know where to begin), and was super nice throughout the process. We even got an extra discount at the end. I'm not really sure what we got it for (maybe having more than one thing framed?), but I wasn't going to argue. I'd recommend that you NOT buy the Yelp deal, and that you instead just check out their website and print off the coupons. If you get there, and it seems like the Yelp deal will be better than the website's coupons, just buy the deal on your phone before you check out. read more

Got a Groupon for these guys only to go in and find out they just jack up prices 4x the competition then promote with 50% off discounts or Groupon (can't use both) - what a scam. They'll tell you that they're high quality and worth the price but realistically it's a frame and you give them a picture, they put the picture in the frame. I had some done at Art Gallery framing down the road and they look just as good as what I gave to these guys for 1/2 the price. They charged ~$240 to frame a photograph that was mid sized at most. They'll charge you even more for a matte so I decided not to - wish I had checked prices before buying the Groupon and being locked in there because I 100% would have gone elsewhere. read more

Truly, I hate going to frame stores in general because there's always sticker shock. Always. We got some frames here several years ago and things have not changed a bit. The owner is still very nice and knowledgeable and the quality of the frames they make is top notch. Now we just got 4 new frames and he gave us very useful tips for each one of them again. From colors and materials to match our different rooms to the glass type ("museum" to avoid reflections on a room with lots of light, plastic for our boy's room to avoid any potential hazard). I've never paid for custom framing before, so I think I was a little startled by how expensive this could get. However... Sam was so, SO nice - and I'm delighted by the end result. I'm sure I could have gotten a discount price somewhere else, but I had an original work of art beautifully framed for about $200 (I had a Yelp discount, too). It looks amazing - I was in love with the art before framing, and I can't believe what a major difference it makes vs. just picking a frame up at Ikea.
