Unfortunately, they were unable to make a pair of glasses that did not have an issue with the lenses falling out of the frames. The Eye Care Team was recommended to me from my insurance web site. I have a frame that is "rimless" and the lenses have holes for screws. Michelle Brand told me on the phone to bring them in and I did so along with my prescription. Due to the need to drill holes in the lenses, the order was sent to a Seattle lab. Michelle mailed them to me once they arrived back in their Spokane office. So far, these glasses are working well for computer use and also for reading newspapers. I am thrilled and because they are rimless, the lenses can't fall out.

Dr. Fairborn and the office team are nice and have obviously been trained in customer service…read more However, at my last eye exam, I had some kind of allergic reaction to one of the drops I was given and came in the following day for a quick follow up to my regular exam to figure out why my eyes were red and the skin around them completely blistered. I'd been told "come in if you have any issues!" So I did, but was not told that this would be considered a new visit - and it was charged to my insurance company and incurred an additional $50 copay that I was never informed about until I got the invoice in the mail. It would seem like if you have a strong reaction to something that happened during their treatment, you would be seen without it incurring another charge. OR at least you would be informed of such. The glasses that my husband and I ordered from them scratched easily despite paying extra for scratch protection - and I only ever used the cloth given to me. After shopping around we realized we could have saved hundreds going elsewhere. Also keep in mind that one of their employees is "hands on" - that is will touch your shoulder, arm or get into your personal space. While I'm generally really easy going, it happened often enough and bothered me enough to have to ask to have someone else help me - the request was granted, but the nurse I spoke to acted like I was being unreasonable for making the request, and i had to continue to make the request every time I came in - apparently it was not noted in my file. I hate giving negative reviews, but thought it might help others to share my experience. I will be taking my business elsewhere and encourage others to do so as well.

Those places all declined to provide a sample pair unless I had an exam, even though I explained I had my current prescription. When I called Northside, Megan answered the phone. She was fabulous! She asked me what my prescription was, found that they had samples, and provided them to me after purchasing a box of contacts, exactly what I needed! When I arrived at the store, a receptionist warmly greeted me and explained that Megan would be right with me. I sat in their lovely waiting room for a minute before Megan got me my samples and ordered me a six-month supply, all for tremendously cheaper than I had paid for that same box at other stores in the past! Megan solved a major problem for me in minutes and with great kindness and respect. The customer service at Northside Vision Center is truly fabulous, and they've made a lifelong customer out of me!

Dr. Rebecca Jangula is great. However, staff member Mary manipulated me into an unwanted, unauthorized $39 procedure that my insurance would not cover. I never authorized any extras. Then office manager Heather refused to release my medical records until I paid for it. This is against HIPAA and Idaho law and down right dishonest and unethical. They lied and manipulated me solely to add the extra charge (likely so Mary could earn a commission). They cared only about their money, not my finances. Buyer beware. I won't be going back or referring anyone to them. $39.00 just cost them way more in lost business

I said that I hadn't heard anything from them."Haley" the person I was talking to was very rude and said they leave it up to the patient to call contact them after a cancellation. She was not friendly and was accusatory. I said never mind I will go somewhere else and hung up. I couldn't find any phone number to talk to anyone else about this so here I am. Empire Eye should hire more professional staff. They lost a patient today. They get 1 star for today's experience.
