Cleaning staff of what I can tell might be only 2 people do a great job of handling the occasional mess. Apartments: Well maintained, appliances are pretty good, but all compact versions as the rooms themselves are pretty small. Decent amount of cabinet space, and high ceilings so if you can make use of vertical storage, you should be in good shape. Floors are concrete so while they are easy to clean, they are also very cold. Not recommended for families due to size, but couples can make due and singles will be fine as long as you don't have a lot of stuff. Amenities: - Parking is limited to 1 space per apartment which would be one of the few drawbacks but some of the neighboring streets have free parking with only 1 day where you have to move the car for street cleaning. Streets in the area are also very safe seeming.. Building has electric car charging spots also. - Gym Equipment is relatively new, good quality and kept clean. Nothing too fancy, similar to a nice hotel. Would be nice to have 1 or 2 more items but definitely adequate for a relatively small apartment complex. Also, never busy and 24 hours (although be careful after hours as I believe the person directly above can hear the noise from the gym). Two large TV's for watching games etc. - Coffee Commissary: This place is great. While it's not part of MLofts, it is in the same building and is a good place to do work. - Pet Run: This is a secure walkway where you can walk your dog. A great idea in concept but I generally walk around the block to the grass. - Laundry: 1 washer/ 1 dryer on every floor. Seems like not enough but I've only occasionally run into a situation where I had to borrow another floor's. Laundry rooms are relatively clean (as far as laundry rooms go anyway). - Common gathering areas: Firepit, common area tables and penthouse grills are all well maintained. These areas don't seem to get much use. While they are nice to have, I think it's probably because it's a bit awkward to have a gathering or to hang out in the middle of the common where you are in view of basically everyone else that lives in the complex (unless you're into that sort of thing). The penthouse grill area is more private which is nice, but again, I've never seen a gathering up there. - Wifi in lobby/gym: This seems a little spotty, but there's general cell service in the area. Staff: Julie the Property Manager and Stephanie the Assistant Community Manager are definitely a huge plus for this place. Both of them are very responsive to concerns and will go out of their way to take care of issues. They have responded to all of our maintenance requests within 24 hours. They even move all of the packages into the locked office before they leave for the weekend and put them back out in front of your mailbox to minimize the chance of theft. Residents: Generally young professionals who keep to themselves, very dog friendly.

My experience was incredibly frustrating and, in my opinion, completely unacceptable. I paid two application fees, submitted the documentation requested, and made multiple attempts to get clarification when additional documentation was supposedly needed. The most offensive part of this experience was being told that I had altered my pay stubs. I completely dispute that accusation. I provided my documentation in good faith, and rather than being given a clear opportunity to address the issue, I was left trying to figure out what exactly they wanted from me. I was also told that my co-signer did not provide sufficient income documentation. I specifically asked what additional documentation we could provide to satisfy the requirements. Natalie then told me to complete a "tax transcript," yet there was no option available to me to provide or complete the document she was referring to. I did exactly what a reasonable applicant should do: I asked for clarification. I even emailed Alex on Friday specifically asking what was needed because I wanted to resolve the issue and provide whatever legitimate documentation was required. Despite my efforts, I feel that I was given the runaround after already paying two application fees and investing substantial time gathering documentation. The entire process left me feeling that my time and money were not respected. Being accused of submitting altered documents is especially serious, and I expect companies handling sensitive financial information to have clear, consistent, and professional procedures for verifying documentation and communicating with applicants. I have requested the return of my two application fees and the removal of my personal information and documentation from their system to the extent permitted by law. I have also requested an explanation of the allegation regarding my pay stubs and clarification regarding exactly what documentation was supposedly missing. At this point, I am reporting my experience involving Alex, Natalie, and Frost Chaddock to the appropriate local, state, and federal agencies for independent review. That is not the level of professionalism or transparency I expect when dealing with someone's personal and financial information.

My husband and I would have loved to stay--our five years there were truly great. The management team is exceptional--always friendly, responsive, and helpful. They're incredibly accessible by phone, email, or in person, and the office being open seven days a week was a huge plus. The maintenance team is also top-notch--quick to respond and often able to resolve issues the same day, even on weekends. Pool and jacuzzi are always clean and was a great amenity. Management is always making improvements to the community, which made CentrePointe a great place to live. It's definitely a place we'll miss!

This is my 5th apartment in LA county where I truly had SO many issues beyond count. Summarizing some of the goods and bad below: Pros: Fair security deposit and timing on paying the deposit after move out Security guard is friendly and makes you feel better about the garage parking Great location in west LA, generally safe neighborhood, proximity to LAX Modern security and access controls (app instead of key fob) Maintenance and front office staff are fast to respond and generally helpful Renovated units, amenities. They even added a water line for the fridge that I brought with me Cons: Homeless permanently living on selby ave (right out back from the complex) to which the city won't do anything about it. While you pay extraordinary rents. Unit inspection checklist Our unit was renovated in some ways but off putting in others, holes in walls, scrapes in walls, dirty wall switches, no door sweeps, missing blinds, etc. when I first moved in and documented all this it took 6 months to get any resolution as I was told (emergency repairs only during COVID) Thieves/homeless casing the security guard hours and stealing laundry from the communal laundry room and/or scavaging dumpsters for recyclables (our comforter and several towels were stolen right after the security guard finished up in the morning. security cameras did nothing nor did the police) Mice/rats, roaches, and silverfish sightings are a frequent occurrence. We did get complimentary spraying twice a month to help combat this. Apartment unit Leaks, leaks, leaks. Our bedroom was situated under a balcony and a 30 year building was not designed with water in mind. Our bedroom ceiling leaked multiple times over the course of 4 years and management would just skim over it and paint instead of permanently fixing the issue. They decided to permanently fix the issue the week of our move out, how convenient. Note this involved all of our clothes getting doused as well as carpet in the bedroom which probably had mildew and mold under it. Luckily it wasn't a massive flood since we were home but it could've been much worse. Again, their solution was for us to use our renters insurance even though the landlord is responsible for drying in the apartment. Garage Leaks Several times my car had calcified water leaked onto it from the old, corroded Plumbing in the parking garage. Management would not pay for the detail needed to get it off my car. Their general answer to all issues caused by existing conditions is "use your renters insurance" Greedy, horrible owner company While the on site management were decent people (shout out to Doug and Lucia) they were yellow taped behind a greedy corporation who gave no shits for their tenants. My original rent was offered up at a good rate (during Covid) but by 4 years later, grew 15%. This was about 5-10% per year, despite being a good tenant, they don't care. This is to keep up with the obnoxiously priced apartments that are brand new on overland ave. Noise/general comfort This place was horribly noisy, I was on a 3rd floor with no one above me thinking that would be quiet. I was terribly wrong. Not only did I hear the cars whooshing by daily on overland which never ended, I had the most horrible neighbors who would blast radios and slam loud work out equipment anywhere from 2-6 am. In violation of the lease quiet hours, I filed at least 10 noise complaints and it still kept happening. There are also many large dogs in the complex confined to a small patio area so enjoy the all day barking. Even though management claims pets are not allowed (laughable) Pool/gym/bbq The amenities that are included appear lavish at first but you'll quickly realize it's not as nice as it seems. The bbqs were useless and wouldn't heat up. Certain tenants in the complex hog the pool and hot tub at all times, making it less desirable to go in.

TLDR: Pros - LOCATION, tenants; Cons - location, REPORTS OF MOLD IN BUILDING. Key Points: The Good: Location - close to everything you need and not a far drive from anything you may want, cool Residents, and Resident parking available. The Bad: Location - close to 405 freeway and freeway "activity", street parking (for guest) is scarce to non-existent during most hours, no elevator or ramp access to unit(s) - MAY BE wheelchair accessible but DEFINITELY NOT wheelchair friendly, every blue moon - package(s) disappear, bicycle(s) disappear, washer/dryer issues, excessive trash on property, lights completely out on stairways and entries/exits, cars burning rubber and/or doing donuts, water gets shut-off absent warning due to serious plumbing issues, there have been reports of mold in building since 2014 - Landlord does not remediate the mold according to California Department of Public Health guidelines; they paint over visible mold and/or water damage (at best). The Ugly: (Depending on your unit) - Constant plumbing issues, waterproofing issues leading to leaks and/or visible black mold, termite issues, several code violations, unpermitted and/or not up to code water heater installations, malfunctioning smoke alarms/carbon monoxide detectors or lack thereof, poor response by Landlord (to put it lightly) with almost always a lack of effective corrective action unless prompted by several complaints filed with the city or worse. Also worth noting: Property is located two blocks away from the community liquor store and across the street from housing projects that are allegedly the stomping grounds of a local street gang. Landlord has a track record of not engaging in corrective action regarding building conditions that endanger the health and safety of residents; they use Property Managers as scapegoats, they bring in a new one about every two years until they can dump the property on a new owner. Property is actively listed for sale, listing date 02/05/2025, MLS# 25495147 (per Redfin). BEFORE SIGNING A LEASE, consider: A. Submitting public records request to Los Angeles Housing Department as well as Department of Public Health to see if your unit has a history of code violations, mold, termites, etc. There are records reporting mold in building dating back to 2014 and as current as 2023. B. Viewing YELP reviews pertaining to management company Trion. C. Hiring a Certified Master Inspector to come out and inspect the unit for you (if you plan to stay more than one year or have pets, small children, or someone elderly living in unit). D. Keeping everything in writing and take lots of pictures/screenshots.

He is truly the best manager I have ever had--kind, approachable, highly responsive, and consistently quick to resolve any issues. I really appreciate having a manager who is dependable and treats residents with respect. I have really enjoyed my time here. My unit is fantastic, especially with the spacious layout, large walk-in glass shower, generous walk-in closet, and in-unit washer and dryer. The building amenities--including the gym, game room, and the rooftop jacuzzi, barbecue, and patio area with great views--are also wonderful features. Additionally, I have lived in Culver City for over 20 years. It is a small, safe, and growing community. I especially enjoy being able to walk to the downtown area for the restaurants, shops, and park, as well as local spots like Big Sal's, a sandwich shop open until 3 a.m. It is a wonderful place to live. They must delete reviews too because there's been a load of people who lived there complaining about the building. Also expect to owe them money for things you don't need to take care of. I only hung up one thing on the walls and left the place extremely neat and clean but got charged for 2 paint jobs, including the ceiling and deep clean and wall repair leaving me with no deposit being given back ($600) and me owing the place almost 1,000 and I am an extremely clean person with ocd so the claims are false and will be handled accordingly. They should have never changed managements. The lobby used to smell so nice, elevators cleaned frequently and maintenance requests handled swiftly but now, if someone parks in your spot they tell you "well what do you want me to do". They accuse you of putting words in their mouth like an individual did to me upon move out date saying I spoke on her personal life when I was very much focused on the move out inspection and making sure they wouldn't be dishonest on the paperwork. Street is very loud tho and you can hear the honks , sirens and construction on Venice and I was the 3rd floor toward the back side.
