I have ordered takeout and delivery from every single establishment down here. tonight I ordered from Francesca's because the tenant downstairs told me that the pizza was very good. I had my grandchildren ages 4 and 8 here and they wanted pizza. After waiting an hour, the margarita pizza was ice cold and the chicken wings were soaked-in oil. Disgusting. I called the pizza place and they told me that they would send me a hot pizza. We waited another hour. I live in Brooklyn and came to check this spot out, first off they open late , secondly the owner & everyone was so welcoming it . Customer service on point .. This has become our new go-to for excellent pizza! We like the margarita pizza with its light dough and flavorful sauce which is just delicious! When was the last time you actually loved the sauce on your pizza?! We've also had the eggplant parm meal that is baked and not fried, a HUGE plus. The portion is generous, enough for 2 people easily and absolutely scrumptious! Again, the sauce is delicious, flavorful and not greasy. I never order ahead on a Friday around 6 pm because it is a beautiful experience to watch these workers in a perfectly choreographed and organized flurry of activity take orders, make pies, answer phones, prepare deliveries etc. EVERYONE helps each other and the atmosphere buzzes with congeniality and efficiency. This place is amazing! I was visiting long beach for the week and ended up getting takeout from Francesco's twice, it was that good. Fresh hot NY style pizza, delicious pastas and salads. You gotta try their grandma pizza! We had a grandma vodka pizza, a chicken bacon ranch pizza, salad, and a bunch of slices. So delicious and fast, friendly service. All I've got to say is: garlic-knots sliders. I discovered this place just driving by and I wanted to check it out. Well the rest of their pizza looked really good, the window was full of thick garlic knots with meatballs covered with parmesan, or chicken with vodka sauce, or garlicky spinach. I couldn't resist. Wasted my time reading reviews about this place and was disappointed - I swear to god I think half these reviews are BS and people do it to help strum up business for the owners . Without getting into much detail there are 2 pizzerias nearby that blow this place away . Obviously- one is Gino's in the middle of town and the other is Davinci's over the bridge in Island Park . Recently made the terrible mistake of hosting my son's impromptu birthday next door at the Long Beach cinema. After 137 back and forth trips to the bathroom and concession stand, we planned an after show pizza party at Francesco's. My wife and I stopped in a week earlier, gave Sal a heads up, and followed up the night before the party. Sal was incredible and accommodating. He set up a dedicated section for my son and his 15+ friends, and had all of the pre discussed food ready to go once we walked in. Everything went perfectly at Francesco's, and the staff was warm and welcoming despite the chaos created by the party. Highly recommend for one slice, or ten pies. Thanks Sal! read more

I really wanted to give this place 5 stars because their food is good. They have a creative menu and good portions. Unfortunately, every time I come in there's an older man working who wears his mask down wayyy under his nose to the point I could sometimes see his lips. I understand it's hard to keep the mask on but literally everyone else was wearing it correctly. I'm a healthcare worker and I have to wear the mask for sometimes 12 hours at a time. I don't think I'll be returning because of this, as I don't feel comfortable that someone who comes into contact with so many people (both customers and staff) is preparing my food. Please follow cdc guidelines. If the teenagers working there can do it, so can you. read more

Amazing 10/10 obsessed with this place. Chicken Cesar salad is so fresh. The dressing is delicious. Chicken bacon ranch slice was so bomb. The place is super clean. Everyone's friendly. I've ordered multiple times. Salmon was fresh and moist with steamed broccoli. Chicken Marsala was above average. Can't wait to try the eggplant rolatini tonight. Eggplant hero was good too. Wow, amazing new spot in Long Beach. I've been here twice already, the first time I got spaghetti bolognese which was the second best bolognese I had in my life. Also the fried ravioli are amazing as a well. The second time I went to just pick up a slice. Hello Readers, I signed up with Yelp today to leave a review specifically for Francesco's. I called today to order pizza for my 8 month pregnant wife who decided that she wanted to eat a little cheat meal "for the baby." We decided on Francesco's today because they're new to the area and we wanted to give them our business as a show of support. Additionally, they have a decent Gluten Free menu which is pretty rare for a pizzeria. Unfortunately, we're not all born with perfect digestive systems. My wife cannot tolerate Gluten and she also has a Corn allergy. This can make ordering Italian food quite difficult as most, BUT NOT ALL, gluten free substitutes are made from corn. So here we are wondering whether Francesco's GF pasta was made with corn or not. It could be made with rice, which is common and acceptable for us. So, we came up with the idea to call the restaurant to ask. I spoke with what sounded like a young female. I greeted her and asked her "can you tell me if your GF pasta or pizza crust is made with corn?" Not surprisingly, she did not know the answer (which I expected because it's not common knowledge) and this female was gracious enough to ask her boss, who I now assume to be the owner. I could here him in the background saying "it's gluten free, I've never had a problem with it, what's the big deal?" All in rapid succession. This man the got on the phone and began talking. This is where my TWO STAR RATING came from and the reason for the review. He talked a mile a minute, asking questions but not listening to answers. HE SPOKE OVER ME THE WHOLE TIME, continuously cutting me off to say that he didn't understand the difference between gluten and corn and that he didn't know where gluten came from and that he doesn't make the crust, that he buys it third party (also very common). I know what he said because I listened, but if you ask him what I said, he'd have no clue because he never once shut up to hear me say anything, let alone answer HIS questions. He offered to send me a picture of the label ( which was very accommodating) and I agreed BUT I wanted to Make sure he sent the ingredient list, not a picture of the package only, because that wouldn't help. I couldn't even manage to get his attention for two F*cking seconds because he wouldn't shut up. This entire (one sided) conversation happened in approximately 6 seconds. Is that even possible you ask, I guess so. Anyway, I know that this may seem trivial to most readers, but between the arrogance, the constant talking over, the lack of knowledge and the fact that I had to hang up on him to keep from screaming at him, I decided to let you all know the type of experience I had. Lastly, I'm not ignorant. I called the restaurant at 6pm on a Monday in May. I'm sure they were busy. The questions I asked were not difficult to answer but if it was stress that made this task seem impossible, then I'm sorry for all the other customers who have to deal with this place when they TRULY get busy, like summer weekends, but something tells me this was more of a personality issue, not a stress issue. My wife and I won't be trying Francesco's . After hanging up on him, I waited a while to call back to let them know we wouldn't be ordering from them. We took our business back to Jack's pizza in Island Park. We ordered $60 worth of pizza and they were super patient and professional with a hometown charm. We will continue to pay them for pizza. 2 stars, one for the nice girl who answered / attempt to Accommodate and one because Yelp reminded me that we're still recovering from the Pandemic. read more

Heard a lot of good things about this new pizza place in Long Beach so I checked it out. The place is clean, they're following social distancing and mask guidelines which is good to see, and the guys working there are all really nice, friendly and professional. We ordered plain and pepperoni slices and I found the pizza to be good, but very salty, including the plain slices. My wife and I both felt unusually thirsty shortly after eating which isn't normal for either of us after having pizza. This could be just a one-time thing and we'll definitely go back and give it another try before drawing any firm conclusions. The pizza is not thin and it has a good amount of cheese, both of which are things we typically prefer. We're not big fans of thin slices that are light on cheese so I expected to like this pizza a little more than I did. The sauce is good but pretty standard. Overall, I'd say the pizza here is good, but not great, and was too salty for us thus the 3-star rating instead of 4 stars. read more

Francesco's has quickly become my favorite pizza place in Long Beach. Their vodka grandma and grandma slices are to die for. So unbelievably good. Everything we've had from here is so tasty. The chicken francaise was tender and tangy and their side of pasta with olive oil and garlic was shockingly one of the best pastas we've had - which I know is very high praise for a side dish.
