I have been told by many how great this place is.I stopped in today to see for my self,got a slice,good pizza,and ordered to go,a vegetariano panini because I love grilled vegetables,not only did my panini look nothing like it did on the menu,menu description grilled vegetables,nothing was grilled,veg is so underdone its practically raw,there was literally a few pieces of eggplant,some bits of zucchini but mostly broccoli cuts that I'm willing to bet came out of a store brand frozen food bag,it was mostly stem very little flower,mixed greens,cant identify,maybe kale,and tomatoes,yes there were tomatoes,every thing was kind of diced and looked like a bunch left overs scraped off the counter top and thrown in a pan,little pieces certainly weren't done on a grill ,there was no seasoning,panini has no flavor,vinaigrette dressing was in a small tub,there was not even a tablespoon inside.all in all a terrible experience,I hate throwing money away. read more

Huge fan of this spot! I moved to Freeport a few years ago and when i first tried Atlantic Pizza, I knew it would be my go-to local pizza place. Plain slice HITS. The stuffed garlic knots (so many options...roni, pesto, buff chx) are FIIIIRE and so inexpensive. Can we discuss the pepperoni pinwheel which is a personal WEAKSPOT for me?! DELICIOUS. All i hear about is how good the stuffed/deep dish (sorry I am unsure of the correct vernacular) eggplant slice is. I will report back. Atlantic is one of my favs in the freeport area, the owner is the sweetest and the food is delicious. The theme inside is a jazz theme. I love the versatile menu as it's not just a pizzeria but they sell cold cuts and other Italian imported goods. They are always extremely busy so I feel that's the reason the tables always seem to not be wiped down but that's the reason for the one less star. read more

Hands down the best Sicilian and Neapolitan Pizza I have had in my Adulthood. Reminds me of pizza I used to eat browning up that you can't find anymore. The cheese, the sauce, the flavor! Jose, who is the manager had a nasty tone on the line. I placed a dinner order on August 27 that was incorrect . I was told there was no manager to get a refund or they can send another order. The order time for del would've cut into my show time. I was informed to callback tomorrow don't touch the order and speak to management. Jose was not trying to hear it told me I could wait 30 to 40 minutes for another order but now it's cutting into my bus time to go home I asked for a refund. Picked up a large Plain and veggie pie, 66 dollars. Cashier was incredibly friendly. I asked him if its a mistake and the manager (or owner I'm not sure) overheard me, comes around the counter and comes up to me and starts popping off about how there's 25 dollars worth of vegetables on the pizza and that he's been doing this a long time yadda yadda. My experience at Atlantic Pizzeria went pretty well. They have a wide selection of slices, calzones, stombolis, bread knots, pastas. You name it they most likely have it! We ordered a cheese calzone which was pretty standard. Also ordered a regular slide same standard flavor. The spinach stromboli was not our best decision, there is a LOT of spinach and they use ricotta cheese. I didn't care for it, I am a fan of spinach but thus probably had more spinach than your average salad! A MUST GET ARE THE PESTO GARLIC KNOTS. I honestly wish I would have just made these knots the bulk of my meal! While I was there the order took a bit long, there was one staff member who was doing her best. This place makes an excellent pizza especially the crust which is second to none. whenever i'm in the area i'll usually stop in for a couple slices or a sausage pie as in my most recent visit, last week. my only complaint would be the sausage quantity could have been better. if you've read my other reviews you'll know how important a good amount of sausage is on a pie. The pie does freeze and reheat well ( i'm just one guy, how many slices can I eat at my age but slowly increasing waist size that i cannot honestly blame on the pandemic, because i did not let that stop me from doing what i wanted/needed to do ) but i have been home more often and tend to eat out of boredom, so.... Anywayzzz... this is a pizza review, not a PLANdemic review. I'd give Atlantic Pizza 4 stars due to the lack of sausage on the pie AND the counter person/owner/pizza maker's seemingly annoyed attitude. maybe he was having a bad day but i've yet to see a welcoming smile on the guys' face when in there. The young lady working there does have a nicer disposition to all customers as i've seen but unless you're a regular or friend of the guys working there, don't expect to feel your business is appreciated very much. All these 1 star reviews seem to be from people with a PERSONAL problem with the owner. Listen, I don't care lol. Their pizza is the best in the area. I always pick up a whole pie, and taste wise it blows other places out of the water. I don't know if I would try their other food though. Its a pizza joint, not a five star restaurant, not sure what kind of butt kissing people expect when they're getting a slice of pizza. My family ordered food from here for a family friend after a loss in the family. Told them it needed to be done by 5pm they were ok with that time (it was agreed upon). We go to pick it up and they're still cooking it, little angry but we asked them why it wasn't done even after we were promised it would be done by 5 the guy responds "well you can't rush perfection!" Probably the worst pizzeria I've ever been to. Unfortunately the food taste semi-decent which is why they're even still in business, I'm sure, but the quality of the food is beyond disgusting. You can clearly tell by just looking at the plethora of food in the display case that it's been there way longer than it should be. The foods they serve are the furthest thing from authentic, home cooked, Italian food. I can guarantee that anyone who really knows what quality Italian food is, is never eating here. Last summer I had taken a chance and ordered ravioli. The ricotta was very noticeably rotten and sour. They try to drench it in their cheap, raw tasting tomato sauce but even that couldn't cover up the taste of bad cheese. A few weeks later I spoke to another Freeport resident that happened to have the same exact experience so I'm sure this is something that happens quite often. That same visit, my daughter had ordered a dish with sausage and it was so dried out from being old and reheated way to many times that it was actually hard and crumbly. Yesterday, out of convenience and with the hope that they made some changes in the last year, we went there again and just ordered two slices. Within an hour I had heartburn and unbearable indigestion. I figured it was just because it's been a while since I had pizza and my body just wasn't used to it. My daughter at that point felt fine. Come 4am and sure enough my daughter started vomiting non-stop. It's now almost 8am and she's still in the bathroom, 4 showers later. Thrilled to have this gem down the block. I've tried 15 different choices here and you can't go wrong. The food is beautifully displayed, fresh and tasty. I recommend the grandma slices they are my favorite. Get adventurous and try the variety of garlic knots. I've always been satisfied and regularly hit this pizza spot. Pricing is pretty normal for NY. I send my employees and family there as well. Only downsides is there is no public restroom, however as a local I'm only concerned with quality food and service.
