Great find! Service is very warm and welcoming. Tables in sections of the restaurant are packed pretty tight and the room gets loud (this cost them a star) Menu is fantastic. They have the basics you'd expect in and Italian place but most of the menu consists of very creative and from what I tasted and saw around the room...delicious. Pasta dishes are the star. Been coming here for years, and unfortunately, the recent changes were disappointing. Prices went up a lot while portions got noticeably smaller. The new staff seemed unfamiliar with the menu, and there were communication issues when ordering. The lighting is also so dark now that it changes the whole atmosphere of the place. Hoping they can improve because this used to be one of our go-to spots. read more

Have not been here is quite a while and was a bit worried after seeing some of the latest reviews. No reason to worry! Food was very good, not quite as large on the portions as it used to be but I can say that about most places. We had four different dishes, all were very good. Service was outstanding as usual, it does tend to get very loud when busy. Bernardo the owner was his usualy gracious self. It was a friends birthday, as much as I don't like doing this my wife brought mini cheesecakes from Magnoila, they took them and made a beautiful platter with candles. The same waiter who is always there waited on us, but he dropped the ball tonight. Too many tables for 1 waiter and it showed. Went there last night with the Mrs & brother & sister in law. Te Mrs had grilled chicken with escarole & beans which she totally enjoyed. My sister in law had some kind of pasta dish which she also enjoyed. My brother in law had a Fra Diablo with shrimp,mussels,clams & squid on a bed of spaghetti which he really enjoyed. I ordered chicken parmigiana with penne which was very good other than the penne which was dry & a little to under cooked for my liking or I would have given it 5 stars. This is tough because this was actually the only thing I ate all weekend and I will say the food was phenomenal I loved the chicken parm. When I got the tiramisu I knew we shouldn't have ate it. It was hot and bubbly like it was sitting out for hours and after 2 hours out of temp the food will start to grow bacteria. I don't know if it sat out from the morning or if they put it in the microwave but I took a bite and it was really good so I did continue to eat it even though I did notice it did not look right and I knew better but figured I was safe at the same time. You can honestly see it in the picture. Best chicken parm I have had in a long time. Server was okay. Drinks were really good. About 6 hours after I ate, I got sick and threw up for two days. It was a terrible two days. 24 hours after my fiancé got sick but not nearly as bad. I just don't want that to happen to anyone else! I'm frustrated because it was really good up until that. Believe all the reviews! This place was amazing!!! I thought it was unusual to see an overall rating of five stars on Yelp but after eating there I'm leaving a five star review as well. Our waiter, Selvin, was great and made some suggestions for us. It was funny because he started going through a list of items he would recommend and then he said everything is delicious and he really meant it. We started with the Caesar salad which may have been one of the best Caesar salad's I've ever had. I highly recommend it and you will not be disappointed. For the entrée we both had Pappardelle with manila clams, shrimp, fresh spinach, tomatoes and a white wine and garlic sauce. It was delicious and the portion size was very generous. There were so many clams and shrimp! We were so full after our pasta that we didn't have room for dessert so we'll have to try that next time. I can't wait to bring my friends there. What an awesome Italian restaurant!! We start with a few appetizers, calamari, a ceaser salad, tomatoes and mozzarella and a beet and avocado salad off the daily special. It was all so good. My cousins took us here so we had quite a few different things. Chicken parmesan, eggplant parmesan, veal parmesan, shrimp scampi and grilled skirt steak that was on the specials menu. I should of gotten skirt steak! It looked amazing, it was cut about an inch thick, pink in the middle, and definitely tender. It was served with mashed potatoes and green beans. The shrimp scampi looked awesome too. My cousin said it was really good. The veal parmesan, the eggplant parmesan and the the chicken parmesan were huge portions, I didn't try the veal, but I wish I had! I did have the chicken and the eggplant. OMG!!! WOW!!! They were out of this world good. The portions were so large, I could of shared the the three meals and not ordered anything for my self. I'm much into desert, the crembrula looked good, my daughters icecream looked good too and the banana fosters I tried was fantastic. The kitchen did screw up a little bit our order, but its not about the mistakes, it's about how well the resolved it. THE DID A GREAT JOB!!! I can't wait to eat here again when I'm in NY. read more

Top notch Italian restaurant in island park. (Oceanside and Rockville Centre as well). We have eaten there many times over the years, they never disappoint! Order anything on the menu from apps. ,to soup/salad ,pasta,entrees. You will enjoy. Service is fantastic . Waitstaff is very attentive and accommodating. Haven't written a review in a while, but this place is def worth writing one. My bf and I wanted Italian after we went to Long Beach and this was the first spot that opened up so we wanted to try it out... BEST CHOICE!! Usually I don't eat the bread that they give in the beginning of the meal, but it was so good with the pasta. I got the lobster ravioli and their sauce is sooo creamy and perfect! My bf got a garlic clam pasta and that was also made perfectly as well. Would highly recommend and def going back to try more!! read more

This was our first time here at this lively Italian restaurant, ,, We had reservations for 8:88 and the young lady at the Hostess podium said that she couldn't fin it. Bur she did seat us and she was very nice about it.
