We needed a large limb removed from a tree, and the split point was about 20' up the tree. Work was done well and in a short time. The crew cleaned up even the smallest branches & leaves from the work. I would've given it 5 stars, except they were due at 9:00 a.m. and hadn't shown up by 11:15 a.m. I called the office, left a message, and the guy called me back, saying he'd "forgotten" about the appointment, but they could be there in 30 minutes. We were looking for someone to take out dead trees, trim hedges, and severely cut back the neighbors on all 3 sides overgrown trees that we hanging into our yard. We have a few guys that have left business cards at our front door. I grabbed them and called. I had a few people come out and bid. Mr. Franco showed up with his lovely wife Maria. They told me that Mr. Franco had recently started his own business, but he had been working on trees for over 10 years. I was stoked when he gave me the price. It was almost half of what the other bids were. He said he would like to do the work the following day which was a Sunday. I told him to go for it. I only wish I had called much sooner! Nothing but the right equipment was going to work on our old eucalyptus stump. I called to schedule an estimate and Maria was extremely polite and we had an appointment made for the next day. The quote was very reasonable. Just had Franco and his team here today, and I have already recommended him to two of my neighbors. We all commented on what a great job they did. I had reached out to Maria a month ago for a quote, she responded very quickly and got me a quote within a day or two. I needed to remove a tree from the park strip that would drop awful smelling berries. Franco followed up inquiring if I had a permit. When I told him it had expired, he stated I needed to renew it. Mardel and his crew are exemplary in every way! Their price was about 1/2 the estimate of another other highly-rated tree service and the quality of their service could not have been better. They encountered a couple of unforeseen large steel pipes that the trees had grown around, which required significantly more time and effort than anticipated. It would have been quite reasonable for them to insist on more money, or to simply not have finished the job. Instead, they removed the pipes, ground the stumps at least 6-8" below grade, removed every single piece of debris, beautifully trimmed up 2 additional trees for no charge and handed me a bill for the originally quoted price. My neighbor and I hired Franco to remove 6 large trees and grind the stumps. He also removed some smaller shrubs and part of an old fence. From the bidding to getting the job going, Franco always arrived on-time, and was there when he said he would be there. I wish all service providers were as reliable as these guys. I called them on a Saturday morning to remove a couple of huge broken limbs that had fallen from a tree. They said that they would send someone out to give us a quote on Sunday between 8:00 and 8:30. They arrived at 8:05, gave me a very reasonable quote.
