Drove in from Tulsa for a day trip. Googled the top place to eat. LOL what a joke. Service was ridiculous and honestly it felt like they were so annoyed with us even being there. This is possibly the best restaurant in Bartlesville and is a must try place if your just passing through. Pretty good service. Food is Great. Cool atmosphere. They have live music some nights. Food was wonderful! We had a ribeye and a hamburger. Might be the best we've ever had. Service was not up to par. Had to order the bread pudding 20 minutes before you wanted it. Waitress wasn't able to make that happen. About halfway through the meal here comes the bread pudding. I sent it back. Then the waitress brought it again and said we ordered it so she had to deliver it. I asked which one should I let get cold? The main dish or desert. She didn't seem to care. Solved this problem by getting the first one to go and ordered another that would arrive at the appropriate time. I will be back! read more

These guys have the best chicken livers I've ever had. The pork tenderloin was the best mix of flavors. There was a lot lot lot of black pepper that left me sweat'n like a pig. Mind you I ate every bite due to the fact that the awesome mix of flavors beat out the black pepper affect, hands down. And I happen to like black pepper. Their drinks where also very well made. The Chile Verde Pork sauce is delicious! We had brunch and ordered two Irish coffees. Reminded me of the ones we had at the Buena Vista in San Francisco. Wife had the cheesy grits with eggs. We both enjoyed them immensely. I had the huge breakfast burrito covered with pork sauce. Scrambled eggs were super fluffy and bacon was cooked to perfection. Frank and Lolas is a small restaurant that takes pride in their establishment. I stayed in town for 2 nights and I came here for dinner each night. It was just that good! My first night I had the green chili and catfish tacos. The presentation was awesome, and the homemade chips were super tasty. On my second night I got the pork chop and holy cow! It completely blew away my expectations. I've had $60 pork chops at amazing steakhouses and the pork chop I had at Frank and Lolas was comparable to those (And it's only $14). The decor is cozy and the staff are very welcoming. I heard from the staff that the owner enjoys collecting bicycles. You'll see cool vintage bicycles hanging from the ceilings. I thought it was neat to see that the owner(s) take the time to make the atmosphere of the restaurant so nice. Overall, I highly reccomend this place. I regret not taking pics of the food my first night. I will be coming back in here whenever I'm in town again. read more

Frank and Lola's is one of those spots I wish was a lot closer to home. It's not a huge drive from Owasso to B'ville, but it's long enough that you don't just bop up there for dinner. First of all.... the place. Quirky and cool is the best way to describe it. Church pews make up some of the booths, while bicycles hang from the ceiling. The kitchen is largely open to view, which is nice. A decent bar area which is not separated from the dining room. On my first trip, while waiting for our table, I casually scanned their bottle options, and spied a bottle of Blanton's, which is my favorite bourbon. If the bar serves Blanton's, then there's an uncommon eye to quality about the place. We had the cheese fries for a table app, which we demolished in fairly short order. The wife had the ribeye, son had the cheeseburger, adventurous soul that he is. Oldest daughter had the pulled pork, littlest one had mac n cheese, and I went with the pork green chile soup. I had a small bite (and was damn lucky to get THAT) of the wife's steak. Hands down one of the better steaks I've ever had in a restaurant. Tender, cooked perfectly and well seasoned. The pulled pork was not what we expected. The jasmine rice and aioli almost take the dish in an asian direction, but without losing its roots in the smoker. Odd combination that worked exceedingly well. The boy's cheeseburger was exceptional. Cooked well done, as he likes it, but still tender and quite juicy. The mac n cheese was pretty much standard kids meal mac n cheese, but she enjoyed it. The pork green chili soup.... was like getting kissed on the forehead by an angel. No, really...... It had all the depths of flavor one would expect in a dish of this type. The tomatillos were there in a subtle, yet foundational way. The green chile component was flavorful, hearty and not overpowering at all. Just enough heat to get your attention without detracting from the dish. The pork was deliciously tender from a long slow cooking session. I found myself wishing there was more of it, but that's the carnivore in me. Wife and I had the bread pudding for dessert, and it was every bit as divine as the rest of the meal. Wait time on an early Saturday evening wasn't bad, and was spent in the back room checking out the myriad of local concert posters and watching a few games of pool being played. I suppose the fact that Frank & Lola's is as far away as it is has kept us from getting overly familiar with it, the way we have other places that are a lot closer. We find ourselves trying to plan an early weekend date night to run up the highway for dinner. Also, as I thoroughly detest waiting in a restaurant, it says a lot that I'm willing to drive 45 minutes BOTH ways to eat at Frank & Lola's. read more

While I have loved frank and Lola's deeply for years, I fear I must report a very disappointing lunch. First it was cold inside. Then the hamburger was very very salty. Good, but really too much salt. Tge big disappoint was the mushrooms. They were not hot. They were warmish but cheese failed to soften and melt. Cold room. Cold mushrooms. I took half the mushrooms gone and reheated in my oven. Perfect. I hope all restaurants realize eating out is special and a treat to some, not just another meal. It has a great taste but it definitely isn't a ribeye. Plenty of food on the plates I saw, especially mine. I just couldn't finish it... This is my second trip in. A great little restaurant in a smaller city. First time here was for lunch and I got a burger that was huge, juicy & awesome. Now it's dinner. Sitting at my favorite spot-the bar. I get great service at the bar and no exception tonight. Jake was friendly, efficient and a cool guy. Started off with a Marshall Dunkel on tap. Apparently a Tulsa brew. This is a legitimate Dunkel! Full bodied, robust and dark. Tonight will be good. I ordered a pork loin for dinner. Sounds great. Wow! Looks awesome. A huge portion. Absolutely great dish. 3 slabs of pork loin in a great presentation with mash & a really awesome spinach side. Tremendous meal, great service from Jake at the bar and a cool local vibe. Pulled out the coveted 5 star since I had 2 great experiences here. Definitely check this place out! read more

Small extremely loud environment with a really rude waitstaff. sat there for over an hour only being served 1 drink while waiting for uneatable food. steak was literally 95% fat and the "melt" burger was disgusting. we each attempted to take 1 bite and that was it. mentioned it to cashier who just blew it off and ran my card for $68 without so much as an apology. I mentioned I thought it was pretty crappy that they'd charge us full price for food that we didn't even eat, entire meal was still sitting on the table. then our waitress who apparently was her mom literally chased us down outside the building yelling at us for being rude to her daughter. seriously? The green chile with pork is delightful and most of the entrees are good but overpriced. Having to wait 45 minutes to be seated during a weekday night was bad enough. The food quality and selection didn't warrant the wait. The service here was abrupt and almost rude. They were not willing to make any adjustments to any of the meals or sides. We (a group of five) had calamari, green chili cheese fries, quesadilla, catfish, sweet field greens salad, pork green chili soup, sesame chicken and bread pudding. Several different beers and margaritsa, too. Honestly the best things were the beer and the salad. I don't see why anyone gives the green chili any raves at all. It was bland and had no realy spice. If this is the best that Bartlesville has to offer, we will be heading to Tulsa for dinner more often over the next few months.
