The rib eye is the best steak in the area and locally sourced. The Salmon is great, I don't usually eat cooked fish but this is one I frequently order. Bartlesville was full of fun surprises during our short visit--Frank and Lola's was one. This joint has a great feel to it--old, small-town architecture, good music and a great staff. I never knew Bartlesville could do hip and trendy but apparently it does. This is wonderful place. My family stopped by for lunch and was lucky enough to snag a table outside. The weather was perfect ( not the typical hot and muggy ok summer) and enjoyed the view of old town Bartlesville. I had the BLT which was amazing. Great high quality ingredients well assembled. Others in the party had the pulled pork which left the eater with a wide grin. Another ordered the green chile and was also extremely pleased. Went here to celebrate my birthday. waitress took us to table for two, asked for booth, ok but she left us and our silverware napkins etc on first table. No frozen drinks. I went to Frank and Lola's my first time this past weekend with family. It came highly recommended by my niece Lisa, and it did not disappoint! Because Bartlesville is not blessed with a lot of good restaurants, it was a simple choice to go two nights in a row. Appetizers that included chicken livers and calamari (separately), entrees of catfish tacos and green chile sauce burger (with pork loin chucks), an open-faced, sandwich were excellent. They do great things with "heat", and Adam and his staff were Oklahoma-friendly. Saving the best for last - I had one of the two or three best bread puddings ever. Simply outstanding. You really must taste it to believe it. Then you'll look around and wonder, am I really in Bartlesville?!? F&L's is a combination restaurant and bar, so there was music that was a little loud, but which did not interfere with a great family visit in our party of eight. Oh, prices were very reasonable. I had an amazing dinner at Frank and Lola's during my stop at Bartlesville on a business trip. I was advised to visit this place and I am beyond glad I did. I started out with a mojito: absolutely perfect! Then I tried the famous green chili pork. This was so unique and tasty. It had a kick to it that reminded me of the original chili but even better. I followed up with the ribeye. Cooked to perfection and seasoned beautifully, I hadn't had such a great piece of meat in a long time. The staff is great but the food is just so-so. I ordered the most expensive entree in the menu which is a ribeye steak. It's the second most horrible steak i have ever had. While it was cooked to temperature, the meat is obviously low-class, but that's not even my issue. The steak came out incredibly salty, on top.of that the side fries was too salty as well. I asked for a steak sauce to tone down the saltiness and the server told me that they don't carry a steak sauce in their resto because the steak doesn't need it. Well, if the customer wants a steak sauce, he better have it, especially if they dont know how to properly season a steak. Would not recommend. read more

A great little restaurant in Bartlesville Ok The place gets busy in the evenings but the food is worth waiting for Delicious. I have had the ribeye which was cooked right m rare and seasoned perfect to the Johnny burger which has a jalapeño cream cheese which when then burger is hot it can be a little messy to eat it so I usually get the cream cheese on the side.So delicious for a small place in a small town. Desert Bread pudding is better than a lot of places and you can't go wrong with it You better have some extra room in your belly because it's worth getting ! read more

Took forever... I do apologize upfront for being so unapologetic, sorta.. I come from NY, Long Island to be exact, and I figured my wife, which is from here, would try this dive... For starters, I ordered the calamari, and specifically said salt and pepper only, which they agreed to.. about 47 minutes later I get this so called "calamari" and it has cornmeal breading on it? Which okay, I can understand the cornmeal breading because here it is very common, and on certain fish is extremely delicious, don't get me wrong. When I got the calamari which was, I feel way overpriced for a piece of squid, it was cooked perectly....except for the fact that there wasnt any seasonings at all.. just tough cornvread b with a few bellpepper spices? It was basically so recipe you would find on google 9 dollars though?!?!? We're from out of town and had several people recommend this place! Always trust the locals! I had the ribeye and my mom had some assorted sides. The ribeye was great with a Gorgonzola cream sauce and delicious mashed potatoes. Our server was super friendly and very attentive! Definitely a great recommendation and leaving happy. Visiting from out of town so was excited about a local restaurant. There was a 45 minute wait in a Friday night which I understood. We then waited a hour for our food. I asked for the manager and unfortunately for me it was our waitress. She had poor excuses and was quick to correct me that it had only been 50 minutes. My Melt was ok but very salty the more I ate. This place is one of my go-tos when I'm in Bartlesville for business. It's extremely convenient for anyone staying at the Hilton Garden Inn, and is a walk-able distance even with Oklahoma winters, which this Central Texan is not used to. People will tell you that their burgers are what they're known for (they have a special sauce that is delicious, but if you're calorie-conscious I would recommend putting on the side). However, my best experience was actually with their salmon salad. It's really more of a whole salmon fillet PLUS a whole salad. Though their prices are not cheap, I definitely felt like this portion size made it worth it. The salmon was perfectly cooked and seasoned quite well. It definitely surpassed my expectations. Contrary to a few reviews here, I had no problems with the service at all. The waiter came by and checked on us throughout the night, and even cracked a joke when one of my coworkers accidentally tried to pay her bill with a Panera giftcard. She blamed it on her eyesight. They've now nicknamed her 'Panera'. If you're coming on a weeknight though, you do run the risk of a really long wait. I've had that problem when coming in earlier, but when I showed up around 7:30 or so, I was lucky enough to be seated immediately. read more

I have been to Frank and Lola's about 7-10 times since they first opened in Bartlesville. Each time I was in town visiting family and it is one of the few local dinner-and-drinks spots with great food and beverages (albeit slightly overpriced). It can be too loud if you're looking for a place to engage in conversation on nights with live music, so always check their schedule before going. On the other hand, if you're looking for live music, they host many talented local acts every weekend. The reason for below average rating is their service. Three times I have gone to discover that they closed their kitchen 30 minutes early. The waitstaff each time were scarce and we typically end up walking to the bar to order drinks directly from the bartender. The most recent attempt to eat there resulted in our group walking in and, seeing no "please wait to be seated" sign nor a hostess nearby, seating ourselves... Only to immediately be approached and told there was a 45 minute wait. We left, went down the street to another restaurant (where seating signage was clear), and were immediately given service. But, perhaps the most off-putting observation was when I went to their Facebook page one day to check their live music schedule and came across what can only be described as a rant against a customer. Being in the service industry and dealing with inappropriate customers is an unfortunate part of life for restaurant owners. However, publicly chastising customers (no matter how rude they may be) is extremely unprofessional. In sum, the food and drinks are good, but they seem to cater to the needs of their staff more than the needs of their customers. read more

Woohoo! This is probably the best food that I've had in this town! VIsiting for a 3-day weekend, I've already eaten here twice. First time had the Salmon (pan roasted salmon glazed with sweet Thai chili sauce served over jasmine rice with cool Asian slaw and a red curry cream sauce)...and oh my goodness...it was soooo delicious! I was a little skeptical at first being so far inland, could the fish really be that good? YES. They fly in fish fresh everyday if I'm not mistaken. I just wanted to lick the plate clean. Then I went again and got the Honey Pecan Chicken Salad Sandwich (homemade honey pecan chicken salad served on a fresh toasted roll with lettuce, tomato, pickles and onion on the side), and again, this plate was just as amazing. My friends who live in Bartlesville say that all the other dishes are just a great and have yet to come across a dish they haven't liked. Food quality is great, service was outstanding, and staff was very attentive. Little things like asking the waiter about how spicy the green chile was...he offered to bring out a sample for me to try to make sure it wasn't too spicy since I was concerned if my taste buds could handle it. This place! Brought the boyfriend here for a birthday dinner and it didn't disappoint. We got there about 5:45 p.m. after reading the tips that the wait can be a bit long after 6 p.m. (especially on Friday/Saturdays) and only had about a 15 minute wait. Luckily, there was room at the bar, so time passed quickly. Bartender was friendly, knowledgable and service was quick! The food was on another level. We started out with the calamari, which was lightly fried and had a cool asian slaw underneath. Neither of us are particularly fans of any type of slaw, but we even liked it! I had the salmon, which is served on rice with a light red curry. Not something you expect to see in Bartlesville (sorry, Bartlesville!) and it was to die for. I'm a petite one, but I definitely cleared my plate. The boyfriend had the green chili burger and house-made chips. I'm very particular about chili verde... and they knocked it out of the park. The pieces of pork in the chili that were atop of the burger were tender, flavorful and darnit, I wish I had gotten the burger. But I didn't, since I'm gluten intolerant, which reminds me: lots of great gluten-free options. Nearly all of the entrees (excluding the burgers) were GF, so I was thrilled to actually have a wide variety of delicious items to choose from. The ambiance is lovely. Tables in the back are a little close together, but we had no issues hearing each other, having nice conversation and admiring the artwork on the walls and bikes on the ceiling. Hip crowd, too. There were families, younger couples, tattooed folks abound. A great variety! All of the staff was prompt, friendly and always made sure your glass was full.
