I was told if I got an attorney they would STOP COMMUNICATING So I'll start here hopefully this prevents someone else from getting scammed by Frank Leta Honda . 08/04/18 I saw a Grand Jeep Cherokee online I explained would be purchasing a vehicle over the next 2 weeks . Go to the Dealership test drive the vehicle, take my 2014 Captiva to trade in , I test drive the vehicle salesperson ask me if i have my down payment today. I tell her no .I said I would be making a purchase over the next 2 weeks . Do I have anything I can put down, never asked for any income verification, no proof of residence no proof of insurance.. my husband put down 500.00 lady puts dealer plates on the vehicle and gives me the keys with a promise of calling me on Aug 6th . Never received a phone call I started calling and emailing them on 08/06/18 no response on 8/15 I go to the dealership.. I tell them I'm here to fill out paperwork there response you taking it home today . I tell them I have had your car for two weeks . They had no ideal I had their vehicle come to find out their words this LADY THEY HIRED WAS EMBEZZLING FUNDS the SECOND RED FLAG I ignored. So I sign paperwork and give them an additional 4500.00 they give me a temp tag deal is going through.2 weeks later I have t go back to the dealership they had to reduce the price of the car . So I needed to resign paper work . 15 DAYS LATER NO PAPERWORK temp tag is about to e xpire I call them they say ride on the expired temp tag they will incur all fees. I tell them unacceptable I have a perfect driving record they take the jeep back and give me a loaner vehicle because according to them its Illegal for them to put a dealer tag on the jeep for more than 3 days . keep in mind I had driven it with dealer plates for 2 weeks . They thanked me profusely for bringing their vehicle back they didn't know I had. I still have no paperwork I tell them this deal is not done I just want my money back you have paid off my vehicle you have my $5000.00 I don't have the jeep . just this piece of shit loaner vehicle I don't do business this way I just want my money back THEY AGREED I HAVE EMAILED CONFORMATION OF THIS . In 2021, I purchased a 2019 Honda Passport. My husband and I test drove the vehicle multiple times, and we noticed an issue with the windshield. Sales Rep Kyler acknowledged the concern and agreed to have the windshield inspected to ensure a proper seal. After another test drive revealed the same issue, the dealership decided to replace the windshield before finalizing the sale. Initially, everything seemed fine. But over time, we began experiencing persistent issues with the vehicle's safety sensors, which would flash every time we started the car. After several costly diagnostic tests performed by Frank Leta, it was determined that the camera responsible for features like rain detection, lane departure warning, and auto-braking needed to be replaced--another expensive repair. Through our own research, we discovered that this is a known issue when aftermarket windshields are installed in these vehicles. The camera system is highly sensitive, and even a slight misalignment during installation can cause it to malfunction. Since the current windshield was installed by Frank Leta, it's reasonable to believe the problem stems from that replacement and could recur. While the dealership has agreed to replace the windshield again, they refuse to cover the full cost, leaving us to pay a significant portion out of pocket. Insurance will only cover about half. This is especially frustrating given that the issue originated from their initial installation. One of the main reasons we chose this vehicle was for its advanced safety features--features that are now unreliable due to this ongoing issue. With another vehicle purchase likely in the next year, I find it hard to trust Frank Leta Honda again. Their unwillingness to take full responsibility for a problem they caused, particularly one that affects safety, is extremely disappointing. I'm not usually inclined to post reviews, but after experiencing several disappointing service experiences, followed by this significant concern, I can't image purchasing another car from Frank Leta Honda again. My wife and I were shopping for a good used car for our college age daughter that goes to school in Springfield. We had looked online and noticed they had a 2005 Accord that looked pretty clean, but was priced above our budget. Tabitha Garcia was kind enough to get the keys and allow us to look over the vehicle and go for a short test drive. Afterwards we were ready to leave as again, the vehicle was priced above our budget. Tabitha insisted we make an offer and we did...one that met our budget. The sales mgr made his pitch about internet pricing being very transparent and this car was priced accordingly. All fine and good, but our pocketbook dictates. He came down to a price much closer to our budget and my wife had some piece of mind that it was a one owner vehicle, had a clean Carfax and met all of our criteria of our search. Sold! The only downside was the paperwork. I know the job of the finance person is to up-sale products, but we were really pressed for time to meet a scheduled appointment and had expressed this constraint from the start. We would have been happy to come back later and complete the paperwork, but they were insistent on closing it right then and there. They also have a ploy of $500 off of the car price for dealer financing, in fine print. We were putting 1/3 of the purchase price as a down payment, so I agreed to have them finance to speed the process. Unfortunately the finance person didn't ask enough questions as she prepared paperwork for a longer term than we wanted and it had to be redone. More time wasted. All-in-all, the paperwork portion was a distasteful experience. A nice enough lady, but a typical part of the auto buying experience that I try to avoid. Summary, Tabitha was great, we got the car we wanted at near the price we'd budgeted for and the dealership was very accommodating on setting it aside until we could pick it up. The car has performed well and my daughter loves the Accord. Leta does offer free car washes while the car is in for servicing, a nice perk. I would recommend giving them a shot at your business. read more

I purchased my first Honda from Frank Leta Honda. I had spent months researching the model I wanted looking for the best price and lowest mileage. I found myself looking at a 2013 Honda Pilot EX-L. I love it. I was driving a Mercury Mariner for the past 9 years. I loved that car, but it was time for a larger vehicle. I was quite nervous as I am not a fan of auto purchases. Mike Banaskavich (my salesman) at Frank Leta was very accommodating and helpful. He took me on a very informative test drive to learn about the vehicle. Buying a car always seems to be such a long process no matter where you go. The personnel at Frank Leta were very open in offering complimentary food / beverage if we were interested. Pros: - Mike Banaskavich- He was very helpful and informative and understood that this was a big purchase for me, so no pressure was ever placed on me. He worked with me when I requested more for my trade in and was very helpful all around. - The location / building was quite nice, clean and staff were very helpful. - I was able to view the CarFax Report on my vehicle. (tho many dealers do this now) - Free Car washes for life of vehicle (gotta love that!!) -The business manager worked with me to get me the price on the extended warranty I needed. Cons - Not happy about the trade in value of my car. Yes it was high mileage, and needed some repair, but the original price brought to me was near insulting. They did give me a little more, though not quite what I needed. - The Business Manager's pitch to purchase the additional warranties on a certified vehicle. I'm not big on the fast -talking "salesmen" mentality as I deal with it often. Just give it to me straight and if I don't accept it, please do not get so defensive. If you really think I need this, offer me some time to sleep on it (which was inevitably done) All in all, I would definitely recommend Frank Leta and go see Mike Banaskavich. read more

The most impressive thing I had experienced at Frank Leta Honda was my exceptional sales associate Jason Hawkins. Jason was a personable, fun, caring, and knowledgeable person. He knew all of the features of the cars I had been looking at and didn't hesitate to explain all of them to me. Jason had all of the answers and then some to assist me in buying the right car. After explaining what I was looking for in a car Jason then found several cars that were within my price range and allowed me to have several different options. He then went through all of the different features of the cars and helped me narrow down my search even further. Once we had determined my price per month cost he was able to suggest me the absolute perfect car for me my brand new 2016 Honda Civic. This car met all of my features and my cost per month. I couldn't have asked for a better sales associate. After we had found the car I decided I would love to take home, Jason made the buying process quick and painless. I filled out a few forms and looked at all of the costs which were spot on based on what he had told me. Getting approved for the car didn't take too long at all, especially quick for buying a car. After the forms and everything was filled out and I was able to get an approval from there on it was simple going through paperwork and all of my costs. During this entire process I was able to maintain great conversation with Jason Hawkins and helped me maintain my interest rather than getting bored, tired and wanting to go home. It had never felt like the car was being forced upon me and Jason did a fantastic job ensuring I was getting the car I was looking for rather than trying to get me to buy a more expensive car like other car dealerships or sales associates. My family since day one has always raved about owning Honda's. They are affordable and last forever. I got my first big kid car last year, a '13 Honda Fit and LOVED it every day. I hadn't had any car credit yet so yes I had a high monthly payment but I knew it would pay off because it was a Honda. A year later I get an email from a sales rep named Jamie. He mentioned in the month of August they were running a special for qualified buyers to upgrade their Fit's for the new and improved '15 Fit's. All for the same or possibly cheaper price. I looked into it. My sales man, Ryan Groeller., answered ALL of my questions so that I actually understood them. I'm a girl but I'm not dumb. I won't take crap or catch's from them and he gave it to me straight which I really appreciated. The '15 Fit is even that much better and just as promised I got a fantastic deal. Honestly it would have been ridiculous for me not to refinance now that I had a year of car credit under me. Brandon, my financial guy, met me halfway by dropping the price and gave me a reasonable trade even with my cracked windshield on the '13 Fit and the list goes on. A week later I get a call on a notice on the '15 Fit. They are doing some protocol on a piece on the car to make sure I'm 100% safe. Sure that's scary but the point is they will call themselves out, get it fixed, and do everything in their power to get you squared away. THAT is great customer service. My wife went along with our daughter as she took her Odesey in for a recall. While there my wife checked on a new CR_V , as we were looking to buy one. Next thing I get a call at home from daughter..." better get up here , Moms test driving a CR V now and loves it . I arrive , meet Mr Jason Hawkins , who was very low key and helpful in the knowledge about the car to me. He was very patient with my many questions , which I like in a salesman. When I inquired about my AARP membership and the no haggle price, he promply made a search as to the best price for me. He reported back and we made a deal. I felt that with Mr. Hawkins I did not need to go on to another dealership as I had received honest treatment.. I have not had any contact with the service dept. as yet , I'm hoping that they are as honest as Mr. Hawkins , if not....I'm down the road...as of this writing , the only thing that took some of the shine off the deal...was the after market warranty PRICE...$ 4500 just seemed outragess to me. This price leads me to wonder , A, does the dealer believe the product is a piece of junk and needs this type of back up ....or...B , is this product so good the dealer needs a bigger profit ??? I can't give ZERO stars?? Bummer!! I would if I could! I thought the worst sales crew I ever encountered was at West County Honda, but a guy at Leta beat 'em. I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with Chris. I never understood the term "snowflake" with regards to todays 20 somethings. I do now! If you're like me, and you believe in handshakes, look-you-in-the-eye, treat me with respect and common courtesy then you sure as hell don't want to meet THAT guy. He HAS to be a relative. That's the only explanation! I was interested in a used CR-V and was told it needed to go thru the shop. Chris had all of my contact info and said he would call me when it was released. Guess what? Yep-sold. No call, no apology. Nothing. If you're over the age of 23 and want to feel like the salesperson is actually interested in dealing with you like a professional salesperson SHOULD, stay away from THAT ..guy. If he's the face of Leta's salesforce, they're in trouble. And by the way-I've been to Napleton, Frontenac, West County, and Leta looking at Hondas. Napleton was the ONLY one of the bunch that did a follow up wanting to know how I was treated and asking about my experience at their dealership. Yesterday, 5/9/2014, I had a very pleasant experience purchasing a new Honda Accord at Frank Leta Honda in O'Fallon, Missouri. I was met at the door by Tracy Kelley and she soon became my salesperson. She asked how she could help and ended up spending a lot of quality time with me. She was very knowledgeable about the car I was interested in and very helpful in every way. She told me about the dealership and their philosophy on how they do business. We worked through the negotiation phase and toward the end brought Ben Macormic the Sales Manager over to finalize the deal. Both Tracy and Ben treated me fairly and made the experience enjoyable. Later I was introduced to Brandon Mueller, the Business Manager to explain financing options. He was an absolute pleasure to work with. He helped me select some of the extended warranty options, explaining them thoroughly as he went along. Many people I know dread the idea of purchasing a car. We bought a CR-V from Chris Saxe at Frank Leta Honda. No matter what dealership you go to you get hear from the salesman that their dealership is the best, they will have the lowest price and so on. When I first talked with Chris, I said here we go again with the same BS all the other dealerships told me. I explained I don't want to hear all that, I just want the best price and service. Chris jumped right on it and quickly proved to me he was a no BS salesman. Car shopping is probably one of the most miserable experiences, but Chris actually made it a very easy process and backed his talk up with the best deal around on our new 2014 CR-V. My experience with Frank Leta Honda was above and beyond better than any other Honda dealership in STL. The reason I went to Leta Honda was because of a bad experience at another Honda dealership in STL. Tracey was our salesperson along with Forrest and Tim and they were all so friendly over the phone and in person. The GM, Dolf even greeted us when we walked in. Ive never had that happen at any other dealership. We got the vehicle that we wanted at the price that we wanted with no hassle and they were very upfront and honest while working with us. My father had purchased his vehicle when they were in Bridgeton and he said the same thing! I know that my family and I will return to this dealership for any other Honda purchases and I will definitely send my friends and family to them. The other fantastic thing about this dealership is the spaciousness, the accomodations they provide for your children and the coffee, tea and popcorn machine. We had an amazing experience with Frank Leta recently and I had to share. This was our first time ever working with Frank Leta as well. We found a used Range Rover Sport through Frank Leta. The staff was amazing right from the start. I recommend working with Ryan Pennington for anyone needing a reliable and trustworthy partner when purchasing a used car. During the process, we found that a service light was on requiring a specialty part from the local Range Rover Dealer, Plaza. This was not our first used car purchase of a Range Rover, so please know this is common for only Range Rover to be able to make a fix. Frank Leta took action, delivered the car to Plaza and then followed up to us as the fix was made. Smooth and easy from our point of view. Once car was delivered back to Leta, we spent approximately an hour signing paperwork and drove away with an amazing car and an amazing experience. I had an outstanding experience buying my 2016 Honda CR-V from Frank Leta Honda. Jason Hawkins was the salesman and gave me a great experience. Their new SIMPLE plan made it so much easier to buy the car. The price was the price, which was refreshing not having to haggle over the price of the vehicle. We were able to negotiate a bit over the different warranty plans, which got my monthly price exactly where I wanted it to be. But with this new plan, I was done with the buying & financing process in just over an hour. I've NEVER had this happen from a car buying experience. This is the second car that I've purchased from Frank Leta, and I've never been disappointed. We discovered a small hail dent on the rear fender right as I was about to drive the car off the lot at the end of the day. A few days later, they sent their team to my place of employment to pick it up, take it back to the dealership, repair the defect, and bring it back to me in just over two hours. Frank Leta offered in an email a Black Friday special - $25 gift card for a test drive. I am in the market for a car in the next few months and thought I would get a jump start on looking at vehicles. I had to bring in my car for a service so I thought I would do both service and a test drive. I worked with the sales person to learn about the car models, options and then took one out for a test drive. Upon returning, I was also introduced to a sales manager who spoke with me for a little time as well. This was all very pleasant and satisfactory. As a test of the dealer integrity I decided to not proactively ask for the gift card and see if it was offered. The offer was never presented. Following my experience at the dealer I sent an email to the dealer explaining that the offer was not fulfilled. While I was disappointed that the dealer was not proactive they promptly replied and meet their obligation. I did purchase a car from this dealer but not from the original sales representative. read more

I purchased a certified used car at Leta recently and was assured on 3 different visits (including the day I purchased the car) that the finance dept would shop around for the lowest loan rate. I researched in advance knowing the lowest rates coming in. When it came down to sign, I was told we had to go through Honda finance because the car was certified BUT they could waive going through Honda that for an additional $500? This is the definition of sleazy business tactics and I have no intention of coming back to Leta much less recommending to any family and friends. That aside, the salesman I worked with was pushy and unprofessional from the start. I mentioned on the first visit I was just looking to test drive the car. Before we pulled out of the parking lot, he had already asked me if I was planning to purchase and rambled on about the pros of the car he'd already told me 20 minutes earlier. If you're over 23 years of age, I can PROMISE you won't like this chump. He HAS to be someone's nephew. That's the ONLY explanation for him being in ANY kind of sales, much less a great brand like Honda. I've shopped Bommarito, Napleton, and West County Honda. I NEVER believed I'd find worse than West County, but this guy took the prize. I walked out. It was clear to me that Leta doesn't need MY money. read more
