Yes the brakes were fixed, only the pads and the rotors re surfaced, when multiple other shops stated they had to all be replaced, but at this point I'm exhausted with this whole ordeal so won't be going back and forth, then of co asked to change my reviews and with the BBB just for new brake pad, yea no. and the "car loaners" that was given to the me the first one was extremely small and had a boat load of issues in itself, after I made a fuss then I got a better one. but when my car was sent to ford I received nothing because I was told since it's at ford I won't get one, even though I was sent there by your company. and as for possible a trade in, I would not do that because one I don't want to end up in the same situation I'm in now, two I do not trust ANYONE at you establishment, and three with how I was treated and spoke to especially by the service department was absolutely disgusting and horrible. I was in the market for a vehicle, but my credit was not great. A friend of mine told me she knew the owner of this place and that they would work with me. So, I hopped on the website and browsed through some really nice cars, but everything was "call for price"...well, you don't have to call because to be able to browse the site you have to give your name phone number, etc. Next thing I know I have a "sales lady" texting me asking when I could come by and look at some cars. I told her that I didn't have a vehicle...so my time wasn't my own and I would have to find a ride. She told me to take an uber..."it is only about $30"...I live in a rural area where there is no getting an uber. I asked about a couple cars on the website that I was interested in and I was told the photos of the vehicles on their website is just "stock photos" of what they could " potentially" have on their lot...RED FLAG! I couldn't get a price on anything...I was like, is this seriously Fort Knox? I never made it to the lot because I kept seeing more and more red flags. The sales lady proceeded to text me a couple times a week for months and eventually she stopped. I'm so glad I listened to my gut especially after reading these horrible reviews. They gave me a chance to rebuild my credit so I will acknowledge that, however my sales rep wasn't the best regarding organization, he set me up with insurance but never gave me a copy of my insurance papers, a policy number or anything; when I tried to contact the insurance company with my telephone number(because I didn't have a policy number) the automated system did not recognize my telephone number Either. Keep in mind my sales rep was supposed to write a check on my behalf for insurance which I would then pay back when my hard tags came, but I don't even have the access to any insurance documentation at the moment. Which leaves me to wonder what went wrong with the paperwork and who's at fault? I provided Clear and concise information regarding my full name, telephone number, email address, etc to the car salesman and insurance reps, Still I have not received any documents from insurance company, so I can't even drive my car until the dealership or the insurance company opens! My sales rep was very obnoxious and quite frankly it took alot of patience dealing with him during my entire car buying process, I was literally mentally exhausted after that exchange so it never dawned on me that something would have gone wrong with the insurance, I just wanted to get my keys and go! Nonetheless I will take a small responsibility in saying that I should have made sure my insurance documentation was in my possession before I left, I'm just so used to car salesman providing that excellent level of customer service I guess I expected too much from this exchange. I have literally never brought a car from a dealership without them providing some sort of documentation for insurance or making sure I had access to my online documentation. once the paperwork was signed and he ended the call with the insurance rep he checked out of the entire exchange! I wasn't even given a business card or any contact info, in case I had any issues or questions. This place absolutely sucks! My boyfriend and I went to Frank Myers and were greeted by an older man with glasses named Jake. After that it was completely downhill... our sales rep was Presley and we gave our info and then he tried to lie like he was not doing a co-sign when that's exactly what it was. I've been here before and they did the same thing. I honestly don't know how this place is still running. Mind you, Presley went missing for almost an hour and helped people that came into the door AFTER us. We left, Jake called us after we had left saying the bank wanted to have an interview with us, we turned around and went back & once we got inside Jake and Presley greeted us. We finally sat down, Presley apologized and said his reasoning on leaving us was because he had another appointment that came in, which made us feel even less important then when we were there the first time. After we sit down with Jake, he then repeats that we need to have a co -signer but in their own way and continuously saying it was NOT a co-signer when it indeed was. Called three times to get a price of a truck they had for sale. Would never give me a price on phone. Lady said it would be between 25-30k. So I drive a hour there today. Salesman walks up and I said what is the price and he says I can't tell you have to talk to the boss. Then after asking him three more times he gets a attitude and says 52000. Quintessential Used car salesmanship. We we there and asked the simple questio, "what do you have on the lot for under X dollars?". Thirty minutes later after they get all the information about us, we still didn't have an answer. After the manager came over and talked about two possibilities, we still didn't have an answer because he didn't know the status of them. So after being there 45 minutes we left without seeing a single car and felt like we had been used. Went to another dealer, found a truck (which is what we were looking for), drove it, bought it and out the door in under an hour. I would say run away don't waste your time .. I got a car from here a month ago bad mistake on my part ! This car was hit and the body work to fix it is bad told them right anyway I didn't want the car after finding out it was hit . Make all kinds of noise when turning/ driving .. sold me the car for 29,000 but only paid 15,000 for it. Now it won't start ,so they tow it back to their shop ( 399.46 they had it over night pick it up yesterday. Said oh it was the battery thats 399.46. Get it home and went out to start it this morning and guess what ?!?!?!? It won't start again!! So I call the carlot they answered and transfer me to service , she like the mechanic hear what it was doing , oh now they think it the fuel pump. If only they would of listen to me before when I said that . So now I am sitting here waiting for the tow truck since 11am its now 2:10 . Tried calling and now no one wants to answer the phone. I really wanted to give this place a good review but I can't. We live over an hour away and due to difficult circumstances we ended up renting a uhaul to drive to Frank's Auto Maxx with the premise that we qualified for the $77 down, guaranteed credit approval, and that we'd leave with a car. After being there a while they said they couldn't help us. Then they said ok we have an option. But it's $1500 down and we'll work with you on the down payment. So we paid $1,000 upfront. On the way home noticed the air wasn't working while idling and the engine overheated. Then before we even had it for 30 days, the check engine light came on and the car was making a horrendous noise. Now granted they tried to work with us. But I wasn't going to pay the rest of the down payment since we hadn't even had the car a month and it wasn't function. The catalytic converter needed to be replaced. So after many days of back and forth it was taken back to the dealership and a "new" catalytic converter was "made". They got us a rental car for two days. So far so good right? Wrong. The check engine light came on again and it's throwing a catalytic converter code. The light goes on and off and we were told it's probably just a sensor that didn't get changed and it's fine. Just bring it back if it stays on. Umm ok. But how are we supposed to know if it's something else if the light comes on all the time? We took it for an oil change today. Not even two months after having the car. They told us that the wipers won't pass inspection. The air filters were horrendous and absolutely disgusting. The air bag warning light won't go off. The tires all need to be replaced. The breaks are squeaking. The ac hasn't worked since we got it. You mean to tell me all these things "broke" since we've had the car? I don't think so. I think we're being taken for a ride. I want my $1500 back and for them to take this piece of junk back but we know that won't happen. ****edit: so now the car is making the noise again. You want to know why? Because they didn't make us a new catalytic converter. They welded the bad one. They showed me several cars in my budget that did not quite fit my needs. then I was shown a "2016 Ford escape" that suited me perfectly. My fiance and I were armed with our cell phones researching the car before purchase and found that it was known to have transmission problems. The manager offered to extend the warranty to ease my mind. I thought I was getting a great deal. I looked over the warranty carefully, the selling price was a little higher than the average 2016 ford escape, but I was willing to pay it because I felt like the warranty made the price worth it. I got excited, made a dumb move agreed to purchase the car. I get into the office, and everything is "sign here, initial here" as fast as possible. I left feeling great about my purchase. UNTIL I got home, printed my insurance documentation, and realized I had purchase a 2013, not a 2016. I thought I was losing my mind and triple checked mine and my fiancees browser history. We both heard 2016, neither of us ever googled a 2013 model. Now I know that was dumb on my part to not triple check the year and model I was purchasing, but I never expected to be mislead about that part and instead spent too much time reading the warranty part and just assumed I was getting the car I was told that it was. I called Tracy Myers and he did agree to let me return the car. So I drove back to the dealership, and was completely shamed in the office. "Most people research the car before they buy it" I reminded the manager that I had been researching the car on my phone and even pointed out that 2016 models were known to have transmission issues. He then tells me the sales person had no reason to lie, and I agree, I believed she made an honest mistake. But google history doesn't lie, why would both mine and my fiances browser history say 2016? We both are mistaken? She said 2013 and we both heard 2016? I told him usually people tell you the correct year of the car you are purchasing. He asked if he would lower the price if I would consider keeping the car. Out of frustration I said yes, gave him my firm offer, and he said he would get back to me Monday. But after that whole experience, I will be returning the car no matter what offer he makes. The fact that they mislead me makes me uncomfortable. At first I believed it was an honest miscommunication but after he tried to shame me into keeping the car and placed all the blame on me without accepting any responsibility I do not believe this is an honest place to buy. I paid cash, no loan, and he saw me thoroughly researching 2016 models. The price I paid for the 2013 model is $4,500 more than other dealerships selling the car. I never ever would have thought that was a fair deal. I realize it was on the paperwork and it is my fault for not double checking the year, but that just goes to show how sneaky some of these dealerships can be. So if you are buying from here, be prepared that the car they tell you you are getting may not infact be the car they sell you and check the paperwork, including the make model and year, with a fine toothed comb. I will say I do believe that Tracy Myers is doing me a favor by letting me return the car. I am thankful he is at least an honest man. But I do question the rest of their staffs integrity. Also don't be fooled by all the positive reviews like I was. The salesperson sends you a text and tells you to leave a positive review while standing there watching you the entire time. Super weird and unnecessary if you are running an honest establishment. I would have left a glowing review if I left with the car I thought I purchased. But the fact that they sold me a car in which the transmission was recalled for $4,500 over market value makes me sick to my stomach. The backstory: So, my husband and I went to Frank Myers three years ago (2014) when we were looking for a used car for him. Our credit wasn't fantastic, so we weren't expecting miracles, but when I say he got *hard sold* on WAY more car than he needed, I mean it. I've never seen such aggressive salesmanship in my life - they pushed and pushed and pushed to get every ounce of information or commitment they possibly could from us and practically held us hostage in the office. We were both in part time jobs making less than 12 an hour and they were -shoving- him towards a 2013 (it was 2014 back then) that there was no way in frozen hell we could afford. They called his stepfather, who we'd put down as a -credit reference- when we weren't in the room and convinced him to come down and cosign for the vehicle - mind you, this was after we'd spent a good 3-4 hours at the lot and tried to leave twice - but when he arrived, we were all told that there was no way we could have the car ourselves...his stepdad would have to buy it under his name and give it to us privately. What?? Why waste hours of our time and then try to sell the car to our cosigner? We were livid, and we left. This past Friday, in the market for another used car, I made the godawful mistake of browsing their website to see what kind of inventory they had. I'd forgotten the name of the place and thought they were another lot. Well, it doesn't even let you view the inventory without forking over your name, email, and phone number. Then, to add insult to injury, even after they get all your information and you're "logged in", you can only see basic information about the vehicles...not prices! Why the hell would I want to browse pictures of used cars that just read "call for pricing"?? That's why I was looking online in the first place, so I didn't have to call! I had the forethought to give my 'junk' email address, but wasn't thinking and put my actual cell phone number in. I had been on my lunch break at work when I was on their site and the rest of the day my phone was "blowing up" with requests for texts and THREE calls from Frank Myers Auto Maxx. I stopped the text messages by opting out and blocked their phone number. The next morning? An email! Then another 5 minutes later that claimed it had "info on the car I was interested in." Funny, because I literally immediately closed the website when I realized the pricing was a bait-and-switch 'call us', so how could I have indicated interest in a particular one? If you're okay with being basically stalked with 7 points of contact in less than 24 hours when you're just trying to browse online, and hard-sold into cars you can't afford in person while having your entire day wasted, then by all means stop by. If you like your car buying experience to be somewhat sane, avoid this firehose-level sales pressure and shop elsewhere. Yes I have to agree with Jade. They are liars. They tell you if you're not happy with your vehicle after a year, they'll upgrade & give you the best price for your vehicle. With credit problems due to my husband's illness, we were very appreciative & defended them to people with negative remarks. Went back after a year to trade. Made an appointment, which was a joke, sit & waited 30 min on the same salesperson we first had, finally another salesperson acknowledged me & started the paperwork. Sat & waited again, then another person came over & took more info. Of course lenders work from home on Saturdays & I was told they wouldn't be able to get an answer for me till Monday. Waited till Wednesday & still no phone call, so I called them. The salesperson called left me a message saying he was pretty sure he had something worked out for me. Huh? You're pretty sure? No one even took the time to drive my car. After I had the vehicle a week it rained & the paint on the luggage racks started peeling off like someone had sprayed painted them. Then the logo on the back did the same. Then the car started to roar so loud I have to keep my radio turned up to drown out the roar, the leather on front passenger seat Came loose & I was told I could just pop it back on, the "new"rear tires they put on are so cheap they had to be replaced before it would pass inspection & I haven't even put 3k miles on the vehicle. Makes me sick when I see their ads how they love re-turning customers, cause I didn't feel the love when I went back. Bottom line Is they didn't want the piece of crap back they sold me. Purchesed a car from this place and on the test drive of the first car i was interested in the transmission fell out. that should have been a sign. next car i drove was a lot nicer and it had a knocking under the hood and i was told its normal for that car. so bought thtte car even though they were asking 2 times kelly blue book value with in a week the check engine light came on. took it back because its suppose to have a warranty on it. i was told it was an old code and they just reset it. so i took it to the mazda dealership and was told the timing chain was bad and needed to be replaced. told frank myers this they said no thats not it. took it back 3 more times with the check engine light coming on and they said it was a cracked spark plug and i had to pay for that so i did. check engine light comes back on and i told them again its the timing chain so then they check it and say yes it is but thats not covered you have to pay 2000 to have it repaired they did not do there 116 point inspection that they claim to do that should have been obvious with the first test drive and even more obvious when the car was throughing up engine codes from before i even purchased the car. bottom line this place is a SCAM they prey on people with bad credit and over charge them for a car that will not last very long DO NOT GO check out the BBB they have a D rating guess i should have done my homework read more

This place is a waste of time...The first time I walked in I was overwhelmed and pressured on getting a car so I walked out then I came back and purchased a car on July 6th. Even though my credit isn't the best I was told by Steve that I would be able to get a car especially in my budget they put my credit through so many banks to get approved. Once I was "approved" by a bank they came out with a car that way $20,000 way out my budget and a $400 monthly payment. I wasn't necessarily able to choose my car that was within my budget they just brought out a car assuming I liked it. After purchasing my car I got to leave with it that day but instead of them making sure everything went through they called me every week asking for information I couldnt even enjoy the car but I made sure my information was correct to get my process going about receiving a license plate. I was literally riding around with an expired paper tag because all this crap with the bank. Then around August Steve told me that finance would like to speak with me which is Keith I'm asking him over the phone was there a problem he literally lied saying that he just need to go over paperwork. My thing is why are we still going over paper work when it should've been done before those keys were in my hand. So I get there and Steve acting like everything is fine he telling me my paycheck stubs were fraudulent how and why would I even put myself through that mess. So the bank rejected me. Than for they solution to keep the bank away from pressing charges they asked me if I had a co-signer which I only had one person they could try. Steve and Keith told me it doesn't matter about the credit just get paycheck stubs so I gave them more information they redid the paperwork to try to get me approved and banks denied the co-signer. So at this point they took my car back without giving a refund. Everytime I called Steve or keith they gave me the runaround for about a week talking about try and get another co-signer after I told them each time I have no one else. they said it'll help to get keep the bank from coming after me which sounded ridiculous because the only thing the bank did was reject me. This process was so frustrating especially since it was my first time financing a car. I don't appreciate their customer service and when I got a refund it wasn't even all my money back now I have no car and no money to put down on another car. I purchased my vehicle July 2017 and have had problems since it was drove off the lot. Took it to service just about every month or two complaining and every time I was told nothing was wrong. Even had the required oil changes done there and still was told no problem was found. Well its August 2018 and my vehicle has been out of service since the end of July 2018. Service told me a sensor was the problem but days later it was not that but possibly the motor. Now the warranty they offer covers it but the company doesn't want to honor the warranty. They are selling people bad cars and it seems they cannot keep a Tech to work on cars. The present tech is the third one they have had since July 2017. They really do not deserve one star. read more

BUYER BWEARE!!!!! We were looking for a Toyota Camry. I came across Frank Myers website and decided to give them a try because we do have credit issues and needed special financing. I called first and they are very insistent on getting personal information before they tell you anything else. You have to sign up online to see the inventory and then you see small pictures of cars without any details whatsoever. Anyway, the receptionist says, yes, we have Camrys. Give me some information and come in to take a look. Spoke with the salesperson as well. Explained our credit situation and he was quick to say we would be approved. So, we went there. Guess what? Not a Camry on the lot. I should have left then after lie number one. But, they had a 2010 Corolla and I liked that well enough. Went through the application and they said they cannot get my husband financed, too many credit issues. Did he get $1000? No, he did not. They wanted to do it my name only. So, we reluctantly agreed to that. They were getting close to closing and salesman says they will let me drive the car home for the night since they are pretty sure the deal will go through in the morning. They asked me to sign a very generic "contract" and reassured me over and over that this is nothing binding. That was just to let me drive the car legally. My husband was telling me they are scamming us, don't drive the car but I was trusting of their word and drove it home. Next day comes, still waiting. Days pass by, still working on it, but all is fine I am told. In the meantime, we went back to the dealership and said give us our old car back until you have a done deal. Got a lot of run around and pressure to keep the car and give them a little more time. Next day, they have the deal done. I am still reluctant but we want to rebuild our credit. I take the car and go home so I can discuss it more with my husband and believing the "Iron Clad Money Back Guarantee" has me covered. My husband still has reservations. I try yet again to get my car back and cancel this deal. More questions, more pressure. Then we have to take a short emergency trip. The defroster stops working, the back fender has popped off on one side and there is a rattling sound in/under the engine. My husband looks, something is broken under the car. We go straight back to dealer and demand our car and down payment back. Keith wants service to look at it, and promises he will fix it. At this point, we no longer have any interest in dealing with Frank Myers AT ALL! We ask repeatedly for our car back. We bring up the money back guarantee, he says it's only good for two days and that time expired while I was driving the car though it was never actually financed and I was told that I was not obligated to anything during that period. So, how does that now count against the money back guarantee? This whole experience has been awful. I have left voicemails for the owner. No call back yet. We have been yelled at by Keith the finace guy. I was in tears. DO NOT buy from these people!!!!!!!! The car is overpriced to make up for the "free warranty". The have way too much mark-up. They prey on people with credit issues. I am going to write the attorney general, the BBB and even talk to an attorney about this. I will also put a big sign on the car warning NOT to buy from this place. We as consumers are the ones who can put a stop to this kind of predatory lending practice. I am one of those people who have always dreaded having to go into a car dealership and shop for a new car. You always here how pushy the car salesmen can be and how the whole thing can be an unpleasant experience. But that could not be any further from the truth at Frank Myers Auto Maxx. I actually live in another state. But while visiting my parents in NC I saw one of the Frank Myers commercials. I was in need of a new car so it caught my attention. So when the time came I made the trip to NC specifically to go there. I was really nervous being a woman walking into a car dealership alone, but all those worries were soon gone. I immediately felt at home. Everyone from the receptionist to the salesmen were all very friendly and accommodating. All of my questions were answered and I never felt any pressure. I found exactly what I was looking for and actually enjoyed the experience. The owner, Tracy Myers even came out and spoke with me while I was there. You would have a hard time finding a nicer person. I highly recommend that anyone looking to purchase a new vehicle visit Frank Myers Auto Maxx.
