They would not squeeze me in to look at a my broken crown in order to replace or repair it. But rather, they wanted to schedule me in along with their regular appointments and make me wait for days or the following week causing me to have to go several days with discomfort and a part of my tooth that was broken. This is very frustrating. My advice is to find a dentist who can squeeze you in the same day to look at dental emergencies instead of treating you like a regular appointment. Ended up going to SA Family dentist over on Braun Rd. They saw me the same day.

I went to pay it but it turns out that it was a bill from 2022. They did not bill my insurance for it back then and tried to bill them 3.5 years later. My insurance denied it since it wasn't billed in a timely manner. And W dental sent it to collections without informing me. I am upset because I don't think It was my responsibility to pay it but I did because I was unaware of the laws on medical bills. Please make sure to call your insurance and check Texas laws on medical bills before paying when it was their responsibility to bill my insurance in a timely manner. They do not care about you as a person or they would have talked to me before sending me to collections and told me the real reason my insurance denied them. I cannot tell you who to choose to be your dentist only my own personal experience with W Dental.

Unfortunately, my experience here was very disappointing and left me with significant dental anxiety--something I had never experienced before. From the start, the practice felt more like a training facility than a professional dental office. The dental techs often seemed inexperienced and unsure of themselves. There's only one dentist, and much of the care was handled by the techs while I waited long periods for the doctor to make brief appearances. During one visit, I waited over two hours after a cleaning just to be seen by the dentist. Quality of care was another major concern. I had to return multiple times due to issues like temporary crowns falling off or lingering pain from treatments. Even now, over a month after my last visit, I'm still experiencing discomfort and have chosen to wait for VA care rather than return here. One particularly troubling incident occurred during a filling, when the dentist struck a nerve multiple times. Despite my clear discomfort, she didn't offer additional anesthetic and instead told me to raise my hand if I felt sharp pain again. I had to specifically request that she administer more numbing medication for future visits--a level of basic care and communication that I believe should have been standard. To be fair, the office is clean and the staff is friendly. Toward the end of my treatment, I worked with a very competent and kind dental tech--unfortunately, she is no longer with the practice. Overall, however, these positives don't outweigh the negative experiences I had during my care.

Their dental suites appear state-of-the-art, but what do I know. X-rays are taken in the rooms, and displayed on their widescreen monitors. The doctors do an excellent job of explaining any issues you may have, and how they can be treated. There are no pressure-tactic sales, either. I've been a patient here for over 2 years and it's always a pleasure. Well, not a "pleasure" per se, I mean it is a dental clinic -- but it's a pleasure in as much as a dental visit can be a pleasure. Plan your appointments in advance because they're a busy office and it can potentially take some time to get an appointment.
