We just moved about 10…read moreminutes away from our last place, and needed help moving a large, heavy dresser and some other items. I called to get a quote and went over all of the specifics of the move. I let them know that the dresser was big and heavy and two people may have a hard time moving it, but two people with straps delivered it to us previously and it only took them about 5 minutes. The day of the move, a crew of two women showed up. They took about an hour to load up just the dresser because they were having trouble lifting it. Once we arrived to the house, they required our help to unload it. One of the women almost collapsed and called her boss for reinforcement, but he did not answer. When moving the tv, the women brought a box that was too small. We told them only to move it if they believed they could do it safely. When all was said and done, we plugged in our new tv and found it broken. I reached out to College Hunks and they had one of the girls give me a call back. She asked me to send over pictures of the tv to her personal phone (so I did), and she stated that her boss said they can cover 60 cents per pound of the damaged tv. I asked to speak to her boss (which I never got to do), and she texted me back letting me know that her manager says I can file a complaint with PUC. They were very defensive and unprofessional, and now we are out a new $1,200 tv. This move was a nightmare. I would never recommend the College Hunks, and would advise anyone looking for movers to steer clear. Update: I reached out and have not heard back from anyone.

The move was better than I had expected. Jareth and Daniel were timely, efficient and professional. Then three days later, Jareth and Jared moved our 10x25 storage unit to our new home. They also were very professional and efficient. They took extra care, laying down a protective pad over my new hardwood floors, and were careful not to rub against the freshly painted walls. I cannot say nicer things about the team of Two Men and a Truck Fort Collins. Efficient, Affordable, Professional, Cordial, and a joy to work with, and special recognition should go to Jareth and Jared. I have also recommended them to my realtor.

When the folks from Two Men and a Truck came they said that the house was too much in disarray and left. We've tried to reach back out to clean up what they complained about but it seems like they are unwilling to help us at all. Incredibly disappointing that they are not willing to work with us in this time of need. I've heard from at least another family that had the same issue with them. If you can afford a mover then go with someone else so you don't have your time wasted. If you're getting support from Homeward Alliance then you need to make sure that every inch is of your house is cleaned and packed perfect before they will even consider helping you- and you only get one chance.

We were then asked which move we preferred. We said we only want a traditional move and were fine with paying more to receive that service. The moving company changed our move, without our knowledge or consent, to a snap container move, which is $600+ less than a traditional move. They refuse to compensate us for the difference in price. Stay away from this business. We have found them to be dishonest, disrespectful, and unwilling to do what is right. They worked hard to try to hide the fact that they provided us with a lower-cost service! Poor ethics, indeed. . In the photo you will see what a snap container looks like. . The movers who unloaded our items also damaged the floor and wall of the home we moved into that is only 1 year old. They did not inform us they knicked the wall, either. Very unprofessional.

Ridiculous moving experience with Johnson. Too many issues to list. Poor packing, unmaintained…read moretruck (broke down), very little protection, leaking truck bay and unorganized truck loading just to name a few observations and frustrations. The Johnson Moving Crew was not properly equipped with insufficient blankets, broken hand truck and no straps. The movers admitted they were not adequately prepared and also admitted it's standard practice for Johnson to send them to jobs unprepared. The Johnson truck broke down after being fully loaded. It was eventually towed away loaded with our personal contents rattling and settling on it's own in the loosely packed truck bay. You could hear the crashing and crunching as the truck was lifted by the tow truck. This caused extreme damage to the contents as you could imagine. Because the Johnson truck would not start a tow truck was necessary but Johnson employees left before tow truck arrived requiring the Client (an 86 year old) and me to direct and manage the tow pick up. Johnson crew was nowhere to be found and quit answering their phone after 6pm apparently thinking is perfectly fine to allow their truck to be towed away unsupervised or without advising the Client as to what can be expected. Johnson offered to move our contents into another truck at their yard but when they admitted they did not have any other trucks available chose to just keep our contents in the broken truck and have it repaired loaded. This is when the already existing truck bay roof cracks allowed melted snow to enter the bay and onto our furniture..... causing even more damage to the finishes and soft goods! The loaded Johnson truck sat idle with our personal contents in freezing weather, wet and frozen, dirty and unprotected, for two (2) nights! It took two (2) days to repair the Johnson truck meaning our planned one day move took three days! This left us needing to find alternate housing for two nights and eat all our meals out or at a neighbors since we had nothing in our new home based on Johnson's promise of a one-day move. Our mistake for trusting them. Johnson denied our damage claim even with evidence with many photos and sued us for collections when we refused to pay without any offer to assist with damages or even an apology. We spent significantly more on attorneys than the cost of the move which we gladly paid. At least the attorney had value and was able to get the Johnson invoice waived. There are excellent options when choosing a mover in Northern Colorado. ADVANTAGE MOVING SYSTEMS or AMERICAN MOVING are excellent resources who will take care of your needs and treat you and your personal contents as their own. Avoid Johnson Moving and Storage at all costs. I know everyone has bad days but there were too many issues with Johnson Moving to allow for any level of empathy or understanding.....

At the start, everything was great, accommodating, helpful, and responsive. On moving day, they showed up on time and were very polite. Unfortunately, the move itself was a mess. I had four movers, but at times three of them were just standing around trying to figure out how to pack the truck. I had them disassemble and box my TVs and take apart two beds. They lost the hardware for one of my TV legs, and both beds they disassembled ended up broken. My child even stepped on a screw they left behind, and two weeks later one of the beds completely gave out. Now my king bed is wobbly, and both frames were only two years old and in great condition. They also lost hardware for shelves in my entertainment center and knocked a door handle off in my new home. I asked for a very reasonable resolution, replacement hardware and a one hour discount for the time I had to spend fixing everything they mishandled. They easily spent that much time, if not more, disassembling and reassembling items incorrectly. The owner or manager, Kia, repeatedly refused and said the situation was fair. It is hard to understand how paying for a service that results in damage and missing parts is considered fair. She directed me to their claims provider, where I registered and submitted a claim, but I have not heard anything back. I was essentially told to handle it myself. I came back because of the good experience I had before, but I will not be using them again. I rarely write reviews, but I wanted to warn others in Fort Collins. Truly disappointed.
