Took my truck in for heating repair, shop tears it open then tells me that I have to find the parts, that he isn't going to pay his guys to sit in front of the computer to look for parts. What shop does that to it's customer? He's had my truck for 1-1/2 month, my heater is working after l finally find the parts, no thanks to him. I return it the next day because my steering column is loose and my alarm is all wrong. He talks about it being too old and full of excuses about the alarm not working, alarm is only 2 years old. I take my truck to the alarm installer and they find that wires where damaged causing the alarm brain to malfunction. Frank saved the day! My AC went out in the middle of our road trip down hwy 99 in 100 degree weather with my 3 and 5 year old! Found Frank on yelp, called and he was able to fit me in! He recharged the system and got us back on the road the absolute fastest he possibly could. He also gave me some advice on what else needs maintenance in the future. He had even called around to see if anyone had a compressor that would fit my car in case that was the problem, which luckily it wasn't because he couldn't find any in stock. Well, my dad's van started failing, late at night, and we needed a car guy. I contacted several local mechanics via Yelp. I contacted Frank for a estimate but their was a catch I had my own parts due to the fact I had planned on fixing it myself and as many of you know some shops won't let customers bring in their own parts My problem was I needed to replace driver side front wheel bearing one call later and the next day I had new wheel bearings Frank gave me a price over the phone and he stuck to that price which was a great price no dreaded calls of you need to replace this or while I'm tearing into this you should replace brake pads and rotors oh and you a speed sensor cause yours looks bad None of that just a call that my vehicle was ready for pick up same day at the same price I was quoted the first time by Frank. On Sunday, December 1st, my brakes went out on my vehicle while we were on Thanksgiving vacation to Shaver lake. I had the car towed to Frankyourmechanic in Fresno. We live over 200 miles away from Fresno and their shop closed at 3:00. I was very worried that there wouldn't be enough to have the car fixed because the shop was closing in less than 2 hours and we had my 3 young grandchildren plus 2 dogs with us and a long drive home. I found Frank's place after looking for a mechanic that was open on Sunday on yelp. I drove my car over some rocky terrain in the dark after trying to get home from a fishing trip and my car started making this awful vibrating noise whenever I braked or accelerated. He responded to me on Sunday before his shop even opened! His place is in a sleepy corner of Fresno, but I would drive there any time because the service was awesome. We did a test drive and he figured out what was wrong in less than 5 minutes. Then he got our car on the lift and explained what was wrong in detail. I learned more about my car! Apparently I bent the piece that goes over the exhaust pipe and so it was making that noise by hitting the pipe. Frank was super helpful as was his son, who did the intake paperwork for us. Frank even gave us fishing tips... like cant get any better than that. I'm super glad I found this place because I usually dread going to get my car fixed because they upsell you on everything and it feels dishonest. Went to go get my AC checked because the cold air was not coming out and he did some diagnostics on my AC told me that the coolant was low so that was very nice of him for telling me that, but their was another problem he also told me that it was my main blower motor that was going out and that it need to be replace. I got quote from him so I can change the blower and the quote I got seemed alright because he told me those are price of the part and how much he charges for labor. I went online to see how much the part are the blower he was charging was in that ball park what he quoted me but the resistor he was charging was $133 even though I check online and the original part was only $35. I even put in the part number he gave me and it still came out to $30. He was charging me almost extra $100. Unfortunately with that I might get my part from online and see what happen. this place is no good took my car there to add Freon and when frank the machanic guy took a look I notice he was aware of what was wrong with my car and steals. He went on ahead and Acted like he was adding Freon to my car and then charge me 100 bucks and then later on I asked him if If my air-conditioning Motor is not working. How Did he add Freon in my car he said he didn't charge me for the Freon But for the labor, this guy is a rip off. I would not recommend anybody to go there. He would cheat you out of your money So when I left, my condition wasn't even working still was very upset And I did not even get an apology for ripping me off so if I were you or anybody do not go to this place to get your car worked on I'm gonna give him -5 stars I even got proof that he said he did not charge me for the Freon but for the labor which he did not even do anything, but pretended like he was Also, bad customer service read more
