I really want to love this place because it IS a cute little coffee shop with a lot of potential. The vibe is cozy at first glance, but once you settle in, you start noticing some things that could definitely use improvement... shaky tables, sparse seating, and a general "almost there" feeling with the interior. The bigger issue for me is the pricing and consistency. Charging an extra $1 for alternative milk in 2026 feels a little like cash grab? Especially when a lot of people order it out of necessity, not preference. On top of that, the specialty lattes have gone up another dollar in the past year, which makes the quality even more important. I've had good drinks here before, so I know they CAN do it well but this last visit was rough. My $6.50 "specialty" latte tasted like burnt coffee water with none of the flavor I ordered. For that 20% increase in price, I expect to actually taste the specialty part. That said, the employees were genuinely kind and super helpful. They happily added more almond milk to help salvage my very sad latte, and I appreciated their attitude a lot. Overall it's a cute spot with sweet staff, but the pricing and drink consistency need some serious attention. I'd love to see them tighten things up because it really could be great. read more

Pretty impressed with this coffee spot! We stopped in for a to-go brew before hitting the road again on our trip up to Pictured Rocks. To be honest I never really expect great things from coffee shops in tourist strips but this one exceeded my expectations! We got there about 20 minutes before closing but the staff was friendly and didn't rush us. They had a huge variety of syrup options (a ton of unique sugar free choices too, which was a welcome surprise) and some light food offerings as well. My husband got a mocha and I got a coconut milk cappuccino with sugar free salted dark chocolate espresso. It was delicious! Not a traditional cappuccino but the flavor was great. I moved to Frankenmuth a few months ago and this is my favorite spot. Just located near the hotels. The coffee shop is away from the busier spots of Main Street and has been the best spot to cozy up. Their coffee is really good as well as the food and other drinks. They have bubble tea too! The ambiance is absolutely perfect and the interior is so pretty. The Frankenmuth Kaffee Haus is a little coffee shop right on main street in downtown Frankenmuth with a great offering of food and drink choices! I simply went with the house coffee (which is, in my honest opinion, the best way to get quickly to the quality of a coffee shop). This coffee was not only hot and fresh, but had a delicious natural nutty flavor and an aroma that warmed this weary traveler right to his core! The staff were super helpful and friendly - and the interior was cozy and inviting with both casual dining seating and some plush comfortable options. My family and I decided to have a late lunch here based on the recommendation of the nice lady at the Wine Shop. I've been to Frankenmuth a few times over the years but I don't recall ever dining here. It is a small eatery with seating spread throughout from the front to the back. This is the type of place where you seat yourself and you go up to the cashier to place and pay for your order (no table service). As a result, the prices are still fairly inexpensive. It sill has that old time mom-and-pop feel to it. I think that the art work on the walls is a nice creative and modern touch. One additional bonus is that they offer free wi-fi for patrons. Even though I was in the Kaffee House on a chilly day, I skipped the cup of joe and went straight for the Turkey Club Panini. I had asked for the Thai dressing on the side because I wasn't sure that I would like it. Well, it came on the sandwich and not on the side. Much to my surprise, the thai dressing was good ergo my panini was delish. I would definitely order that again. My first experience here was a good one so I'd definitely come back. The service was terrible. On a Saturday morning at 10:15 it was almost empty. We ordered breakfast sandwiches. Mine came out after 10 minutes and was alright (somewhat underwhelming). My husband's was originally taken to another table where the woman touched it before sending it back. My husband walked out after 30 minutes of waiting. I came here with my girlfriend at lunch time on a Monday and they were both busy and understaffed. Walking in through the back door is confusing. There's a little lounge area with some chairs and tables, and then a hallway leading to the actual café area. I ordered The Downtowner (I think it was called) with fries and the female got a crispy chicken wrap. After about 15 minutes the food finally came out, and it was pretty good. For $8 I got what was a reasonably large club sandwich, fries, and a fountain drink (unsweetened tea). I thought it was fairly decent, but rather than just toasting the bread, it would have been quite a bit better if they had a grill (not sure they have one, maybe just due to a sheer lack of space) and grilled it and the meat so the inside wasn't cold. The fries, although from the freezer (like the chicken strips are), were great. Seasoned waffle fries that were hot out of the fryer. After eating I got a London Fog. I hadn't had one before, but I've always loved Earl Grey tea ... well, a London Fog smells a lot like Fruit Loops cereal and tastes a bit like it as well. I don't normally care for sweet drinks, but it was delicious. This is a quaint place that has a, I hate to demasculinize my already immasculine self (those are words, I swear), cute little place. The order menus are a little cramped together as the rest of the place is, but it's nice place with some slightly more than decent food, tasty drinks, and friendly service. Cute little cafe located on the main drag through town, but the service is terribly slow. The food is okay, nothing to rave about. On the other hand, the ambiance is cute, with colorful murals on the walls and chalkboard menus hanging overhead, as well as some additional, out-of-the-way seating in back, where it's much quieter and more relaxing than the front of the house. Nonetheless, the lines to order and pick up your food tend to bottleneck, serious miscommunication transpires and orders get screwed up. I've eaten here a few times now and if they're at least half-full, then food and drink orders start to get screwed up and the staff gets bogged down, lost in the weeds. If they fixed that problem, it would be a lot better. At any rate, they make a good latte. My husband had a decent club sandwich, but halfway through eating, it started falling apart. The french fries were tasty enough, though, but probably frozen. The last time we stopped in here, I had a sandwich that was adequate, but utterly forgettable. Love that this business is owned by a family and not a corporation, they greet each person who walks in and wish them a nice day when they leave. There's a cool train that runs through the place on a track up by the ceiling. There are a ton of cozy spots to sit and relax.
